Description of Work: LAKEWOOD Home Builders was the best choice for our large addition project. John Stageberg worked with us during the architect and pricing process and help us to realize our dream home. Once the project started, Lance Rittenhouse had the patience to work out the many challenges that arise with this kind of large project. He patiently delt with issues, coordinated schedules and kept us in the loop during the whole process. We have worked with other contractors, and the most frustrating part is lack of communication, with no return calls or missed expectations. LAKEWOOD works very hard to keep the customer in the loop, and they even recommended some great solution to our budget challenges. Highly Recommend LAKEWOOD Home Builders and other family member have hired them for their projects.

Description of Work: Lakewood completely rebuilt our mainfloor full bathroom. We are 100% satisfied. We purchased a deal on Angies List. We ended up having to pay a little extra because our old bathroom had tile on the ceiling so there was extra demo. Also, we chose some upgraded materials from what was included in the package. The bathroom is about 40 square feet with a full bath and shower. The whole project was complete within a week. We were impressed with their reviews on Angie's List and very impressed with Lance from the walk-through. He also met with us at Home Depot to help advise us on material selection. We also had them do some tile repair on an upstairs bathroom. As they were working on this, they discoverd that the toilet had a leak and there was moldy damage to the floor underneath. Instead of just doing as they were asked and fixing the problem with a "bandaid", they immediately informed us of the issue and we were able to make a decision as to how to proceed from there. The whole time, there were very professional. We couldn't be happier with the results of our beautiful bathroom.

Description of Work: We got Lakewood to build a deck for our new home. The owner John Stageberg is extremely professional & responsive. Unfortunately the sub contractors' work was shoddy and the workers were not punctual. The tardy & unprofessional response of the project manager made things worse. To his credit, John personally stepped in to rectify matters and made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. Because of him, we will definitely consider Lakewood again for our future outdoor projects.

Description of Work: Tim Johnson came out to look at my roof issue. He was professional and personable and while he was here, he willingly looked at several other issues in my house that need pursuing. He did not charge me for his visit.

Description of Work: I contracted Lakewood to do work on my 25 year old home, including new siding, deck and porch refurbishing and new windows. I worked with Lance and John long distance, as I am residing in another state, and they both were professional and trust inspiring every step of the way. They produced quality work within my budget and in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use their services in the future.

Description of Work: There was another deal similar to this one, except for this one was only for exterior TRIM paint. I felt that even with the coupon, the price was higher than it should have been (for example, it says that it'll cover 2500 sq feet, so if you have less than that to paint, you can't transfer the amount to the cost of paint or other tasks). Communication was average. I've done a couple Angie's List coupons, but I feel that they're becoming the new groupon (where Angie's List encourages business to advertise by increasing the price of the services and then offering a "deal" that's similar to their original prices--which is,in my opinion, borderline scammy). I'd keep Lakewood Home Builders in mind in the future as they seem to have decent reviews, but Angie's List is increasingly making me feel that I need that higher degree of caution when looking at contractors (their quality might be good, but compared to other contractors of similar quality, they may have higher prices).

Description of Work: I ordered the Big Deal--roof maintenance package. When the guy came out I pointed out the problem spot. He did the inspection (part of the package) and told me all looked good. He did look in the area with the potential leak but couldn't find anything wrong. He was here and gone in a short amount of time. I still have the problem and I feel like he didn't put much effort into troubleshooting the problem, but I guess I got what I paid for and some piece of mind that my roof is OK, or at least all but the mystery spot. The service was OK, but I think I'll try another roofing company next time.

Description of Work: Fixed missing shingles on Roof.

Description of Work: They replaced the ridge vents on three roof ridges and installed new collars for the 3 vent pipes on the roof. They did their evaluation offered to perform the work for a price. The price did not change and the work was accomplished. A short coordination activity took place between the installer and the contractor to ensure they had the correct home. Once the validation occurred the work was done in short order and the craftsmanship was very good and the work site was left as clean as when they started.

Description of Work: The first time they came, it still leaked the next time it rained. | They came out again and did some more work. The problem seems to be resolved at this time.
