It went great. All the workmanship was really great. They managed the sub-contractors really well. We dealt with Lance and he did a great job managing our project.

Checked my roof--showed me photos--calked around the chimney--contacted me with replacement exterior french doors and side window---great service--warm/friendly--will work with this company this spring!

Tim was great to work with. He was very upfront and honest about the repairs and cost, and took care of them on the spot. I cannot recommend Lakewood enough. Both Tim and John from the office were very helpful and great to work with.

They were great. I was actually very impressed with how professional he was. The thing that I was impressed in was he took his shoe off immediately when he walked in. He was also presentable. He stopped and listened to us for a awhile and he figures out what we wanted. With that he did the bearings on the things. One thing that really impressed me was that when we asked him questions, he would say “I don’t know but I can figure it out for you”. He would say what he knew and that he would figure out what he did not know. He would also follow up with emails and answers our questions. I was just actually really impressed. I have not seen the design yet. I can just tell you my first impression when we talked and the way he answered the questions. So, unfortunately I cannot yet rate the quality of his service. I can definitely say that he is very personable and I think that he is going to do a good job but I cannot verify that yet. The price was unbeatable. He was patient with us because we said that we still cannot do the project right now because my wife just gave birth. He was okay with that and he just sends emails to follow up and made us feel that he was just there and will be ready whenever we will be ready for him to do the job.

The window was installed fine and is good quality. But this company is for the birds. We knew we had to replace this window and had gotten some other estimates, so when I saw the deal on AL I thought, shoot, this will really help us get this window in a less expensive way. NOT SO. By the time we paid everything, including what we paid for the AL deal, the window cost nearly twice what the other estimates had been. Another thing, we ordered this window weeks and weeks ago, and every time we called to see what was going on, no one was there. It was ridiculously hard to nail down when the work would be done. In short, good quality, lousy service.

This went ok. There were minor hiccups that were resolved by LHB quickly and to my satisfaction. LHB reached out to me to schedule this before I attempted to. I was informed that they would get on the roof to do the work and take some pictures to show any problem areas. They came out in-between bad weather. I received the AL/LHB messages that they had completed the work. I had indicated that there was some shingle damage along the soffit/roof line. I snapped a photo the area that I could see was damaged and sent it to them. They were responsive and came out again to make the repairs I indicated. I'm completely satisfied.

The project started on time, completed on time and on budget, and had minimal disruption and minimal surprises. Work was not adversely impacted by inclement weather or holidays, both of which overlapped with our timeline. We would give very strong marks to Lakewood for the following: 1. Project management ? Lance Rittenhouse acted as the project manager for our renovation. Lance was clearly knowledgeable about every facet of construction, worked well with both us and the crew, and ensured that things progressed smoothly. Moreover, Lance is professional and friendly and a credit to his profession. 2. Carpentry ? William Gonzalez and his crew demonstrated exceptional skill, productivity, courtesy and commitment in their phase of the renovation. We were so impressed with them that we hired them out separately to some quick work on our deck. 3. Electrical ? Very professional and courteous. Worked through some issues associated with legacy low voltage wiring in our house with relative ease. 4. Siding and roofing ? Efficient, capable. Invariably, any medium to large-scale project can encounter some degree of the unexpected. Our semi-finished attic space was very rough and had not been updated in approximately twenty five years (estimate). As such, we encountered a few minor surprises with insulation and HVAC. However, it is important to work with a contractor whose interests are aligned with the homeowner. In our very minor unexpected issues, we were able to come to a quick resolution working through the issues with John and Lance. This allowed us to keep the project on schedule. We enjoyed working with John and Lance and we would recommend Lakewood as a capable partner in your renovation and/or building needs. Our master suite has been a very nice addition to our home, allowing our family to spend more time together and providing the necessary additional space. We are also very pleased that the vision we designed in collaboration with the architect (i.e., retain the classic look of a Cape house with an attic-style bedroom) was capably realized by a contractor who takes pride in his craftsmanship.

The guy who came out was not here very long and I told him before he got started that I had problems with the skylights so he gave me an estimate for that. He also said that the roof work could probably wait a little bit yet. There were no additional charges besides the big deal price but no repairs were made. It was the first time that I used him. It seemed like it was more of a way for him to come and get business and anything else. The main reason that I took the deal was because I was having some leaks which had turned out to be not as bad as I thought they were. I wanted to get an estimate for what it would cost to fix the leaks and that was when he told me that the skylights were broken and had to be replaced. What I was actually hoping for was that he would find a way to repair the skylights at least for not a lot of money but that was not an option. I do not have anything to compare their pricing to but he was responsive. I would consider using him in the future.

The contractor arrived on time, was very friendly and professional.

Inspection was wonderful, did not need to be home to perform services, everything was complete when I returned home. Tim Johnson was a pure professional and reassured me that I did not need a new roof at this time. It was nice to find someone willing to look at a townhouse roof since I had some leaks that I was concerned about and was worried that I'd have to replace the entire roof. Since Tim's repairs, there's not been a single leak! I would highly recommend Lakewood Home Builders Inc. for any type of work that you want done quickly, quietly and without a fuss! The price was definitely right!

Was a wonderful experience. Met Tim Johnson, and he walked our entire room, showed me pictures of concerns and made minor repairs based on his findings.

One of the reasons I contacted Lakewood was their ability to provide a "whole house" approach to my problem, since two earlier roof repairs didn't eliminate the leak. Tim Johnson spent close to two hours inspecting and explaining options concerning other possible causes for the leakage and he will follow up with a quote addressing additional repairs, if needed. I was impressed with his knowledge and thoroughness and would recommend him and his company to anyone needing home repair.

He showed up on time and told us what he would be checking for during his site inspection. He checked the entire roof and the gutters. When he was finished he went over in detail what his inspection showed. We would recommend his services to all.

Tim came out to our house as scheduled and began inspecting and repairing our roof. We initially purchased a $150 deal for an inspection, but due to the pitch of our roof there was an extra cost (not a problem, it was in the terms of the deal). He replaced some missing and damaged shingles, sealed up some gaps and took pictures of everything. Then he spoke with my wife and I about what he found and what repairs he would recommend for the future. He was thorough and explained things very well, and he was able to provide an estimate for the remaining work by the next day. A good experience overall.

The rep from Lakewood Home Builders, Inc. was on time, extremely professional and honest, took pictures of my roof and explained how shingles were installed, the function of each pipe that was visible, etc. I will definitely call this company in the future for any home repairs needed and will share the company's name with members of my community.

The contractor arrived at my home as promised on date and time. I had to make several calls before I can schedule an appointment. I cannot know that he did repair he roof or not because there was no proof of photo when I requested. They did not provide me as a customer with the right level of care and concern.

Could use more face to face coordination but the job was good

It went well. I was at work when he did the work. However, he did a good job and told me one thing that I might want to get fixed. I asked him how long is my roof is going to last and he gave me an estimate, which was very helpful information to get out of it.

Mr, Johnson contacted me within hours of my purchase and we coordinated a date and time to start the work. He was very polite and professional. He arrive at my home on time and start his work. He completed the work in less than two hours. He explained to me what he had done and presented pictures of areas to consider in the future. He was very professional in his presentation. I have additional work requirements at another site and I will not hesitate contacting Mr. Johnson.

Tim was prompt and responded quickly. He was very professional and explained right away that there was an extra $75 charge for the roof pitch as indicated in the offer. I was "ok" with the extra charge at the time, but honestly, would not have known whether the disclaimer applied to me or not at the time of the offer. I did agree to the extra charge. I have had an issue with water condensation on my bathroom ceiling, and no one seems to know exactly what is causing the damage. Tim went up into my attic and showed me how the insulation is not adequate, especially in that area which is the probable cause of the ceiling damage. He made some excellent recommendations. After the roof inspection, which took approximately an hour, we discussed his findings. He made some minor repairs, let me know that overall the roof is in good condition, then showed me an area over the garage that was in need of repair. He was very helpful with his assessment, and we will probably have some work done in the Spring. Overall, I was very happy with Tim's service. My only issue was the overall price, however, I take some responsibility in not completely understanding the offer as presented.

It went well in that I think it is rare you will find such an honest contractor give a recommendation you do what turned out to be a simple project yourself. The insulation project was our main focus right now which we will be doing ourselves at about 75% less than what other contractors quoted us thanks to Tim's much appreciated honesty. In the mean time I would still recommend you contact Tim and Lakewood should you be looking at any home addition/remodel projects since I can only assume this type of integrity and professionalism exists throughout all of their business practices!

Our roof was nearly 30 years old and needed replacement. My wife contacted Lakewood as the result of Angie's List. We were first visited by the project manager. This occurred when we were not home, previously agreed upon. We then were given the name/contact info to order our preferred shingles. Once this was done we received a detailed estimate of the projected project. A start date was proposed after the contract was accepted. The start was delayed by weather but we were kept informed during the delay. We were given 24 hours notice of the start and the job was 100% complete in less then 36 hours. This included from the time the first worker arrived and the cleanup completed. The project manager was made repeated contact with us with updates, photos of the project and to answer questions. The workers used every minute of daylight to complete the job. The estimate was spot on and the the company was patient when we had a stutter in our financing. A few days after the job twas completed the manager came by to ensure the cleanup was thorough. We were also contacted about a week later for satisfaction follow up.

John and his team came out and did a thorough asessment of the damage and submitted a concise and accurate bid on the repairs. They came out at the agreed time and worked long hours and finished the job early and on budget. John communicated the progess and answered all my questions regarding the job. He even sent me photos of the damage and repairs. I stopped by the jobsite a couple times and the workers were curtious and professional. The materials used were of good quality and and the craftsmanship was perfect. They went the extra mile and fixed the carpet and even put a coat of paint on the exit door. I would not hesitate to call John and his team again. I am impressed with local small business's that display honesty and integrity like in my fathers generation. Our whole congregation was pleased with their work and with a large group of people that is quite a feat.
