They were prompt, professional and tidy. They did the job quickly and cleaned up after they were finished. They worked hard and were a pleasure to work with from beginning, (the estimate) to finish (the installation and trim) Would recommend they for any project and I am looking forward to working with them again

Went smoothly. About 3 week wait after signing the contract. Took 3/4 of a day to finish. Quick and efficient. No issues or surprises.

We really appreciated the work that JS Jackson did for us. We had our basement window and window well removed and bricked in and the drywall and insulation replaced on the inside. Jerry and his son answered my questions along the way and were very cognizant of doing a quality job. He waited a full day for the concrete to set where they filled in the window before putting the waterproofing membrane on the outside of the house. On the inside, there was a large area to drywall based on previous water damage. My husband said they drywall job wasn't bad, but also wasn't the best drywall job he'd ever seen. That is the only reason for the B. All other aspects of the quality were great! We would definitely hire them again!

The whole process of JS Jackson Construction Inc. installing an egress window from providing the estimate to installation was very professional. Of the three contractors that provided estimates, only JS Jackson knew the specific Loudoun County regulations governing the installation of such a window, and their price was competitive. They provided the necessary drawings and information for me to obtain HOA approval. They also obtained the necessary permits from Loudoun County. The work was professionally done in one day and passed inspection the next.

This is the second time we've hired JS Jackson to install an egress window. They are completely professional, arrange the permit, do excellent work and leave the area spotless. Their prices are way below other contractors and their quality is excellent. I would definitely hire them again.

I love these guys!!! I got a quote from another company that was a referral from a friend for almost double this. The only reason I didn't sign on was because they didnt get back to me to schedule for over a month!!! Kevin was amazing when I found him on Angie's List. The whole process including permits and inspection were included in this price along with a lid for my egress. It looks beautiful. The communication was awesome and I am looking forward to getting a bathroom remodel quote from them for next spring.

They were very nice, but they were very expensive. The father said something and the son came back with a quote that was $10,000 higher than the father. They failed on price. They were very responsive. They had to reschedule. For professionalism the father was an A, but the son was a B. I disliked that one quote came in $10,000 less than the other quote.

Dug a hole, cut concrete foundation, install a window well and a basement egress window. Highly recommended - excellent work!

What a great experience! Their quoted price was less than any other quotes I'd received, and they did a great job. They came and pulled the measurements and planned out the job, and then took care of managing the permitting and inspection process with Arlington County. The install took just a few hours, and it looks great. A wonderful experience, and I would work with them again without question.

The project was flawless. Absolutely the best experience I've ever had with a contractor, bar none. From the initial email contact, to coming out to provide an estimate, to ordering materials and scheduling, to the completion of work, everything was done professionally, promptly, and with great attention to detail. Nothing was left to chance. JS Jackson's owner-managers are very knowledgeable, plain spoken about the work process, and straightforward about recommendations, which were all spot-on. I received a number of cost estimates and found them to be price competitive. Most important, though, their workmanship is superior. The windows, and especially the egress, were beautifully installed with absolutely no after-problems whatsoever. As someone who's been a homeowner for three decades and who's dealt with a number of contractors during that time, there's no doubt in my mind that JS Jackson is among the best of the best. A bonus: from start-to-finish, every single person I dealt with was pleasant, engaging, and courteous. I'm already planning my next project and will use JS Jackson again. They're just that good.

Kevin and Heather and the Team @ JS Jackson Construction were just wonderful. It began with the start, Kevin's explanation of the work, permit/inspection, our own homeowner's association review process, and assistance provided aided us in moving from zero to hero. They kept us informed on the permit process, sent us the County's permit approval by email. Then, immediately scheduled the work on a date/time convenient. On installation day, it was like a symphony, Kevin was onsite while his staff were digging by hand, and installing the egress windo and Boman Kemp system. It seemed like in no time, they were complete with their work, but don't be fooled, it's tough work y'all. The next day, the County inspector paid us a visit, inspected the fine workmanship, and we passed the first time. Project success. Totally seamless. Everyone JS Jackson Construction Inc. has worked together collaboratively, and that made the difference. Referrals guaranteed. And, they'll do work on our next home guaranteed. Neighbors are already inquiring.

Well, they secured the permit, and it's going to be a one-day job. I'm writing about the start of the experience now and I'll right a follow review later. Kevin, the Field Manager, came out and did the site visit and provided the esitmate. We found him to be extremely thoroough and informative. Heather was great, responsive and assisted with the HOA process, providing drawings, info sheets, pics, etc. Just awesome. Highly recommend these folks. More to follow.

An estimate was given to us shortly after contacting the company. Then the window was installed within two weeks. The company obtained the county permits so we didn't have to worry about anything. I definitely recommend them!

The entire process was very professional, great people to work with, egress window was installed in one day, and the egress window passed inspection the first time!

Kevin was very professional and nice. He came out and gave us an estimate, obtained the permit, really listened to what we wanted, worked with us to get what we wanted, and performed the work quickly. He was neat and took off his shoes each time he entered the house as well as put down cloths to keep debris to a minimum. He kept us informed every step of the way. Not only was he professional but he was very pleasant and responsive and also the lowest of three bids we had obtained. After putting in the window well, his helpers cleaned up the entire area outside and spread the excess dirt where we asked. Heather from the office was also extremely nice to deal with over the phone and quickly responded to our emails. We would definitely use J S Jackson construction again.

Awesome, Mr. Jackson came to the house for the estimate, took the time to explain the codes required for the window. He was patient, answered all of my questions and was very nice about the whole thing. The crew that came out to do the work were clean, respectful and did a fantastic job. The window passed inspection two days later and I now have a 5 bedroom house. I would recommend this company again in a heartbeat.

Very nice company to do business with. From first phone call to final inspection, could not have been more professional! On time, completed the job, and cleaned up everything. Entire job went smoothly. We would recommend them for all windows and door needs.

I found him through Angie's List. He came out, did the estimates and did the job. He did good work. They dug a drain from the point of the windows back into the backyard so that water wouldn't collect near those windows. We've had a lot of rain lately and we've had no issues. One of the things I did was look him up and read some reviews on folks that have done similar jobs. It seemed like he was someone who does that kind of projects a good bit. Reading some of the reviews on Angie's List and seeing that folks had done projects and were satisfied with the work well after the fact. It was a good project. We were very satisfied with it. We paid $7700 for the two windows, for the labor and materials. He is easy to get in touch with. He came out and did some touch up work on some of the drywall after the project was done. He is good to work with. It was good value because we did price it out. We got a couple of quotes. We found that he was reasonable given some of the other quotes that we received and looking at some of the reviews. I guess the owner of the business himself came out and did the quotes. He was very upfront about a lot of things and just giving information whether or not I was going with him or with someone else. The work was done by his son and a couple of employees. Everyone that I interacted with was good to work with. They had information. They were telling me what they were doing. I have recommended them.

Everything was excellent from the original estimate to the install. It was a pleasure working with this company. Would highly recommend and will be recommending to my neighbors.

Kevin and his crew arrived on time and in the sweltering heat they installed our basement egress window in 4 hours! The county inspector just left and everything was great. Would highly recommend this company. The next closest bid was over $1000 more!

I was initially a little wary of using this company because their estimate was so much, much lower than all the others. But after reading the reviews on Angie's List, and meeting with Jerry, I was comfortable giving them my business. Kevin and his crew were polite, knowledgeable, and got the job done within a day. The company set up the inspection for the next week, which went off without a hitch. I highly recommend them.

They were very responsive and professional. I had a estimate shortly after contacting and scheduled a week later. By far the best price and communication. Originally it was for one window but after seeing the work and how nice it looked we scheduled a 2nd window install. They were willing to use a gridded window and replace it with one w/o grids once it was delivered (had to be ordered). The installed the 2nd window when the two ordered windows came in. Kevin and his crew were super nice and kept to their promise of no dust in the basement, which was impressive. I would definitely recommend them for egress window installation.
