Awesome job. The crew was fast, but they left my yard looking amazing. Would definitely use this company again. The service that was rendered was worth the price I paid, and it wasn't an outrageous amount either.

I recently hired Capitol Landscaping to handle some yard work at my townhome, including mulching, seeding, and lawn cutting, and I am thoroughly impressed with their performance.

Jose's team produced a stunning improvement to the front area of my home. He completely replaced the lawn taking care to remove the surface, lay subsoil, fertilize, shape the ground to minimize flooding and carefully lay new, fresh, sod. All the plants were trimmed, hardwood mulch laid, and planted bulbs (for next year). We had a sad looking tree in the center of the lawn, which was removed. Jose knows what to do and supervises the job in person. This is a first class organization!

The sand originally installed between my driveway pavers had largely washed away after a number of years, allowing weeds and moss to grow there in abundance. I contracted Capitol Landscaping to replace the sand with longer-lasting polymer sand at a cost of $5000+. The work was performed in November 2020 but, within six months, weeds and moss have grown back between the pavers almost as badly as before the work was performed. The company has failed to even inspect the obviously poorly performed installation despite promises to come back to the house multiple times. This company does NOT stand behind it's work and I definitely do not recommend them. It was a complete waste of money!

The Capitol Landscaping team tackled a lot of work for us in a very short amount of time. They removed a fountain, replaced it with a patio, added a walkway and did yard maintenance in less than a week. Everything looks excellent, and the price was lower than other quotes we received.

Have use them before, very happy with the work completed.

Everything went very well. Jose scoped the work and made sure there were no uncertainties. He was onsite and made sure the work went as planned. This is the second time I have used Capital Landscaping and will use the them again. I highly recommend Capitol Landscaping.

We are new customers of Capitol Landscaping and they just completed Fall clean-up for our home. I contacted Mr. Hernandez back in August and he returned my call within hours. The next day he arrived to walk my property with me and provide a quote for the work we wanted done. The work was completed yesterday and we are beyond pleased. The crew arrived and went right to work. Mr. Hernandez and I walked the property again and reviewed the work to be done, adding a few tasks I previously overlooked. Before Mr. Hernandez left, we walked the property again to ensure everything was going smoothly and he provided care instructions for newly planted items. I really appreciated that. The crew worked for hours. They are courteous and professional and just did a phenomenal job. I have already spoken to Mr. Hernandez about an additional fall project and ideas for Spring that will further enhance our yard space. I look forward to working with Mr. Hernandez and his crew again and would absolutely recommend this company.

It went very smooth. Jose and his team came out on time got to work and finished up very quickly and the yard looks great.

He was very nice. He did it in I think 3-4 hours. He did the job within the time frame he said. He was here on time. I was very satisfied.

Capitol Landscaping did a terrific job with several large flower beds and landscaped areas in my yard. They cleaned up the beds by pulling weeds, edging several landscaped areas and applying mulch. Jose was quick to respond to my messages, and he and his team were professional, punctual, and great to work with. I highly recommend Capitol Landscaping and plan to hire them again when I need landscaping help!

When I called to arrange an estimate, Jose answered the call instead of an answering machine or a service that schedules call backs. He met with me the same day that I called! Jose arrived for the estimate 10 minutes early which is something you do not see these days! I walked around my property and pointed out where I needed lawn mowing, maintenance and some tree and bush maintenance. Jose has a good eye for detail and suggested some additional improvements to achieve the openness I was after for my property. Jose told me that he would schedule my work in about a week. The day Jose and his team came out to perform the work, he gave me a call to let me know he was there and see if I wanted to come out and see the work. We met the next day and walked around the property to review the work. The result was exactly as we had discussed. Jose was prompt, he has very good attention to detail and is very customer oriented. I fully recommend Jose and his company for your residential landscaping needs.

I put out a request for cleaning and mulching services through Angie's list. Of the people/companies I reached out to, some never called me back, two others took way too long to respond and several looked down and refused work in Old Town Alexandria because the yards are small. Jose Herandez, owner of the company, responded immediately and accepted the work enthusiastically. He responded promptly to any phone call I made, came when he said he would and performed the work efficiently, beautifully and graciously. Within 2-3 hours my front yard was transformed. He and his crew did an amazing job weeding every shred of weed, recognizing and reinforcing existing plants, landscaping and planting new plants and laying a heavy coat of outstanding mulch. And all this at a very reasonable price. Capitol Landscaping is a small, family-owned company that cares about each individual customer, does not cut corners and provides top quality material and services. He is personable, friendly, honest and a delight to do business with. I plan to be a repeat customer.

The work was spread over several days because of rainy day delays, but went extremely well. At one point, they even worked in the rain so that work already done would not be jeopardized by the rain. Mr. Hernandez and his crew were punctual, professional, and efficient. Mr. Hernandez made several excellent suggestions that will save money in the future.

From the start, Jose was responsive, punctual, and knowledgeable. With all the rain we've been having in NoVa recently, I've been having water issues in my finished basement. Jose, and a number of other landscapers came out to assess the grading of my front lawn. He came up with a plan, which I asked to scale back, and executed it within three days of agreeing to do the work. Jose took time to explain what he was doing and why and quoted a reasonable price (especially compared to other companies). Once it was all finished he told me to call if I have water issues in the next few months. I would certainly consider hiring Capitol Landscaping again.

Arrived Saturday morning as scheduled and was done by noon. The work was excellent. So glad I hired them!

We needed leaves, branches and general spring clean up in our back yard. Jose and his team arrived on time, on the agreed date, and accomplished this project very well. We are pleased with the results and have no hesitation in hiring him again in the future.

Outstanding service. The bottom line: The work they did was so good, I hired them to do my yard year round. They showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would do, and constantly asked questions to ensure they were meeting our expectations. What a refreshing change!
