Description of Work: One of our friends called and told us Ziegler would be in the Colony on Wednesday. We called their office to see if we could get a Pfister faucet leak in our kitchen sink repaired while they were in town. The office manager indicated she would try to arrange it and sure enough by 2 pm they had been over and got the job done!!! It would not have been possible if we did not already have the valve stem part but I did not want to take a chance on doing it myself and still having a leak when I was done. They always wear booties on the job and clean-up well. I like them and will continue to hire them for my plumbing work.

Description of Work: They came and helped us a great deal when no other plumbing outfit would in a reasonable time frame. Someone caused an accident that broke our water line and ruined the the hot water heater. |They were absolutely great. Have no idea of cost since another insurance company picked up the cost. We have used them in the past. The owner is terrific.

Description of Work: Ziegler did a replacement of our 75 gallon gas water heater, which was a large and complex job. It required substantial alteration of the house plumbing to relocate the water heater to a new location. They removed the rusted out water heater from an attic closet off of a walk-in closet on the second floor. It was very heavy with water logged insulation, but they got it out without any damage to surrounding areas. They installed a new 75 gallon, power-vent, gas water heater in the garage. Everything was done in a neat and professional manner. They even made several house calls to correct a defect in the new water heater that caused it to shut off before the water was hot enough. This was a manufacturer's defect, but Ziegler stepped up and corrected the problem promptly at their expense. I couldn't expect more from a company. Steve Ziegler and his crew are real pros who care about doing a great job.

 + -1 moredon't use flange repair kits because they can crack again, the damage they suggested to accomplish a fix was much more severe than having to replace the flange many times over. Since the one we had had been there for 27 years we decided it was more than worth the risk.
Description of Work: We had a leaking toilet and called Ziegler as they are a local business on Angie's List. They diagnosed our problem as a cracked flange plate. Their estimate to fix it involved cutting a hole in our ceiling to install a new flange plate and a new toilet for around $900.00. They estimated 300.00 to repair our existing toilet. Since the repair would have required us to not only have a hole in our ceiling but to have to redrywall and paint it, the cost would have been well over a thousand dollars. I did some research and we purchased a flange repair kit, new wax ring and new toilet parts. The total cost of the fix was under $150.00. Although Ziegler stated that they

 + -1 moreThey came out to fix a leaking water line under the dirt outside. I had already dug the hole, cleared out the water, and identified the leak. They found the leaky collar and replaced it with some shark bite collar. In all, they were at my house for 30 minutes. They charged me $250. I was incredulous. I talked to the owner and talked him down to $195. He is a very nice man, and they do excellent work, but the price is way too high. The owner said they didn't have an hourly charge, but rather charged by the job. I just can't understand how, with minimal work needed, they could charge that much. I won't use them again due to the cost. How much more would it be for a more intensive job?fix

Description of Work: Contacted the company and spoke with a very polite and helpful woman. The business is family-owned. She was able to get a 7:30 AM appointment for me. She wanted to make sure that the person who would perform the service would be know about older homes. At 7:10 in the morning I received a call telling me the plumber was on the way. He arrived and within fifteen minutes had the drain cleaned and ready to go.

It took just over 2 hours to do the job and they took all packaging and other trash with them. The old toilets were being donated to Habitat for Humanity and the workmen helped me position the items for pick-up. The final price was exact to the estimate. These men were professionals. I would use the company again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Removal of 3 old toilets and installation of 3 new toilets. Included replacement of a leaking supply valve. I provided the toilets, wax rings, supply lines, and custom flush levers. Two toilets were located upstairs and one was downstairs.
