We called Maximum Air largely as a result of Angie's list glowing recommendations & was thoroughly impressed by the firm representative (Jeremy) who came out to provide an estimate. It was obvious from the start that Jeremy's approach was to inspect the current system problems and provide a technically sound & well reasoned solution to my wife & me. The price offered was very competitive (not lowest) and the bid offered the best value to us because he listened to our complaints & provided a total solution. It went beyond just trying to sell a replacement unit but rather into a total systems approach for our home which included inspecting and making modifications to the existing supply ducts & air returns where needed. We felt comfortable with the price & contracted with Maximum Air for the furnace replacement. Within a few days the Maximum Air team started work. To a man, they were technically competent, well trained in the sensitivities of working in some one's home, and well grounded in work safety. They worked thru some brutal outside elements (rain & snow) to install the new unit and restore heat to my home. Truly a team effort where every one pitched in to complete a high-quality job on-time as promised. I am impressed with this firm & would highly recommend them to others.

They installed a new HV/AC system in my home. They worked with my schedule, and were prompt and efficient. They did a good job and I am satisfied with their service. I would use them again.

Jermey called before he came and was right on time. He was very helpful and didn't make us feel silly about the filter. He put in the thermostat in no time at all. I'm sure we would still be at it if we were putting it in. All in all it was a good experience. We would call them again.

They really seemed to know what they were doing. The technicians were good on conversation. They came when they said they would come. I would use them in the future.

The service techs from Maximum Air diagnosed and replaced a circuit board in my HVAC unit. They were able to come out the same day replaced the part the next day, and showed up when they said they would. The price was more than I cared to spend but was fair and was quoted before the work was performed. Both techs Kipton and Jeremy were professional and had no problem explaining to me the trouble shooting procedure and the repair work being performed.

Overall I was very satisfied with the outcome and would highly recommend this company for any air conditioning needs. Max was very informative and helpful.

I called because my A/C was not working. Maximum Air came out the next day. My unit is old and I was expecting to have to buy a new one. Chris trouble shot the problem, which ended up being an electrical wire issue, and fixed it. He even charged my unit all for the low price of $113.00. I asked him about removing an old heating unit from the house and he said that if we were not in a hurry we should wait till the fall when they are not so busy to get a better price. I will definitely be calling them back. He was very professional.

The AC in my house went out on the July 7th, 2011. I called Maxium that same day and he came out and gave me a very detailed estimate the very day. I was very impressed by the way he examined my system and told me all of the issues that existed with my current system at the time. Needless to say the estimate that he quoted me was at least a $1000.00 less than any other estimates from the competing Heating and Air companies. MAX and his team was promptly on time, and was very courteous and professional. They worked through the extreme heat in the attic and outside simultaneously. Needless say I was truly satisfied with the job and would Highly recommend this company to anyone.

Technition arrived on time, was clean and in uniform and was polite and knowledgeble. Left the area neat and clean. Explained what he was doing and why it was necessary.

Max and his crew installed a Trine dual fuel unit to service the first floor at my home in Williamsburg, VA. His entire crew is made up of seasoned heating and AC specialists. When I asked why everyone seemed to be so knowledgeable, their answer was that Max sees that we all have training annually. When I accepted Maximum Air?s proposal, I told Max wanted time to poor a 4? tall slab of concrete below his 3? prefabricated composite slab before he started. He said ?nonsense! My men will be here tomorrow to help you poor the slab and we will have the unit installed the next morning. Do you have a cement mixer?? I?m sure if I said no, he would have shown up with one. Long story short, the unit was up and running by the next morning. As for recommending a larger return duct to reduce fan noise. I'm so glad I listened. Before I had met Max, I had the upstairs unit replaced with a Trane high efficiency furnace and heat pump by an AC contractor out of Toano, VA. At the first change in season, the unit would not go into heat pump mode. The installing contractor claimed to have programmed the thermostat wrong. The next change in season when the unit would not change modes again, I called the contractor but he would not return my calls. I then called Max. He and his technician determined the best solution to my problem would be to upgrade the thermostat to one that would take advantage of the energy saving features of new unit. He was right and I have not had an issue with that unit since. If you want heating and air conditioning work done with someone who stands behind his work. Call Maximum Air.

It went very well. I have a problem now but they can't get to me for they are so busy because they are so good. It was an excellent service and the guy who runs it is very knowledgeable and very willing to do a good job. He explains what he is doing. I am very impressed with them. They seemed to be confident. They came when they said they would.

I did not know about Maximum Air until my warranty company sent them to fix a problem that I was having with my unit. I received a call from Maximum Air within a hour or so after calling the warranty company. Maximum Air told me that they would be able to fit me into the schedule at 800 am the next day. At 745 am the day of the trouble shoot Kris from Maximum air pulled into my driveway. I walked outside and talked to him for a few minutes before he asked to see the unit. Kris took this time and pulled the unit apart and found a leak in the outside compressor unit. Kris said that he unit would need to be replaced and it would take time because of the warranty company being involved. Kris provided two lbs of refrigerant at no charge (Warranty company will not pay for refrigerant)and explained that it could last a day or two possibly even longer. Kris explained my options letting me know of one idea that I did not think of. Kris told me that the warranty company would provide money to fix the old the unit or put in a new more efficient one in. I told him that I needed to think about it and to let me know what the warranty company said. Kris called back in a few days and told me what the warranty company was willing to do.I told Kris to get me an estimate for a new unit. Kris explained that because the unit that I wanted was bigger then the one that I currantly had some duct work would need to be done. Kris also asked if I needed more refrigerant. I then called two other companys who were listed on website for the equipment that I wanted. They both came out and provided estimates. The first company that I called wanted over $12,000 to do the job. The second came in very close at $10,200 they offered duct cleaning with that price however they did not get the job for a few reasons. One they were late for the appointment (My time is very valuable to me so if its not to you then why would I use you). Second when they left they drove around my neighborhood placing flyers on the doors (I hate that). I called Kris from Maximum Air on Monday and told him that he had the job. I asked him when he could get the work done and he said he could do it Wednesday or Thursday and asked if he needed to stop by and add more refrigerant. On Thursday May 12th Kris arrived at 745 am. with a crew of 4 to include the owner of the company. They went right to work (They did not mind me watching off and on). Just before noon Max the owner asked his guys what the wanted for lunch. Max then turned to me and asked what I wanted. At first I told me that I was good and he insisted telling me that he was buying. So I had him get me something. The next day the county inspector came by and passed the job stating that Maximum Air does good work. I took me a few days putting this post up because I wanted to make sure that I did not have any problems. So far so good. All I can say is that Maxumim Air did a great job at my home and after talking to the owner and all of the employees that he has working in the field I know that they will do a great job for you. This company came in lower and did superior work. They have a life long customer from me and I will recomend them to anyone who needs repair or a new unit.

We worked and compared prices. They had the best price. The amount they are charging to do the two units is equivalent to the amount charged by the other people to do one unit. So far I have been impressed. He has noticed things where previous people have come and done stuff, and asked questions which I think is good. They said that they would be here at 8 o’clock and they were here at 8 o’clock. He came in and went straight to work. He then came back and asked about the materials and stuff lying about. When he came out of the attic, he had brought a handful of trash with him. I don’t think all of it was his trash. He cleaned up after he had finished the area. He took time to explain things and everything. I would use his services again in the future.

It went great- Max and his team were in and out quickly and cleaned up behind themselves. True Professionals- I'm very lucky to have happened across them.

Technician showed up on time to repair a furnace. Although he didn't have to, he took his shoes off before entering my house. He immediately diagnosed the issue (bad igniter and flame sensor), but realized he didn't have the right parts in his van. He drove back to his shop to get the right parts and was back at my house in 20 minutes. He quickly fixed the furnace and had heat pumping back into the house. He was courteous, explained what was wrong, and the final bill was within $5 of what he quoted me at the beginning of the job. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

MAX Air installed our HVAC in 2008 and did a magnificent job. Thoroughly professional and client oriented service. We moved to Alabama and were in the process of selling our vacant house- the realtor said something was wrong with the A/C. Max Air went out immediately and met the agent, looked over the system, cleaned the filters, and pronounced everything was in great working order. The office staff is wonderful too; they took my payment over the phone after the fact and then emailed me the paid invoice. I love Max Air and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC installation and/or service. They know their products and love their customers!

Warranty company contacted Maximum Air to come out to the house after the air conditioning system started blowing warm air. Made contact with Max at Maximum Air on Sunday and he came out to the house the next day between 1 and 3. Max called and asked if it was ok for him to come a little early then arrived at around 1230. He went right over to the outside unit, pulled the side off and discovered the capacitor had blown. He said no problem and went to his truck and grabbed a replacement. After installing it, he checked the freon and recharged the unit...ran like a champ. He then went a step further and checked the unit in the attic, then informed me that the unit (19 years old) had had a recall something or other for carbon monoxide leaks and potential fire. I would have never known, so now I'm looking into that. All in all, good experience for the $65 deductable.
