We hired Jack's Tile and Carpet based on previous reviews found in Angie's List. We had had a very bad experience with another flooring company many years ago when we decided to have laminate installed on the first floor of the house, ceramic tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, and carpeting for the stairs and 2nd floor. Multiple delays, no shows, failure to return calls, etc. After having prepped the upstairs for the carpet removal and having no one show two days in a row, we fired them and got the money back for that portion of the job. It took us until now (maybe 5 years later) to be willing to tackle the tremendous job of clearing the closets and rooms of movable items in order to redo the carpet. I stopped by Jack's Tile and Carpet showroom and was assisted by Robert, who was very helpful in discussing the types of carpeting available and their differences. We arranged for a date the following week for them to come measure the area to be carpeted, and both Robert and Jack arrived to do so on time. They were quick and efficient, careful to look at the unique challenges in each room (we have alot of furniture, much of it large and hard to maneuver), and had brought three of the carpet samples that I had looked at with them. They provided a detailed estimate within 1 day, using three different levels of carpet quality based on my initial selections, and also described the plan of action for installing it...2 front bedrooms and the master bedroom 1 day, then the back 2 bedrooms, hallway and stairs the next...possibly with a day separating, but until it was on the schedule that was not concrete. My husband and I stopped by the next day with further questions, made our decision on the carpeting, and set a date that worked for both their schedule and ours. We confirmed the Friday before they started on the timeliness...a Mon & Tues, with just an overnight to shift items around. The crew showed up promptly as promised at 0730 on Monday, and were extremely professional and competent doing their work. They were done by mid-day, and returned the next morning to complete the job. They gave my husband a choice on the way they tucked the carpet on the stairs, and we are very pleased with the more tailored look that it has given the house. They handled our furniture carefully, and cleaned up after themselves. This was a MUCH, MUCH better experience with a flooring company, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable contractor. Jack called us soon after to check on our satisfaction with the job, and to arrange the final payments.

I feel like there is not too much more that they could have done better for me. They did all they could do even when we had a hard time finding what we wanted. They did not have it in their store. They made sure they got it, bought it out and did everything to ensure that was the design.

The workers were very friendly, hard working and cleaned up the work area. The bathroom tile still looks great.

They seemed really professional and polite and they came out when they said they would. The quote was reasonable. They have to get an A; they are the only ones that returned my call. Anyone that will return my call and actually come out will get an A.

They were very professional, they gave me a time when they were going to be here and they were mostly early. They cleaned up after themselves, and they did good work.

They were professional and did the job that was expected from them. They were also flexible because we had some fresh tanks that needed to be moved and they were kind to handle that as well.

Jack greeted us at the door to his office and spent all the time we wished with us helping us to pick out the perfect carpet. The estimate was done on time and came back less than the Large Stores (Lowe's/Home Depot)The staff that installed the carpet left the extra pieces as we requested and installed the rooms in just a few hours. Will definitely contact again for future carpet installations.

Jacks met with me in his showroom and educated me first on the different choices for carpeting and what's best for my personal needs. He then scheduled an appointment to come out and measure my room and also for an area rug we wanted to have cut and bound for another room. He was right on time. I then went out another day to select and order my carpet and they scheduled an installation date. Our carpet was installed in a timely matter and they did an excellent job. They even replaced and repaired a stair that our cat destroyed free of charge with a piece of extra carpet we had already. I plan on going back to them next year when we replace the carpet upstairs. I checked the large home stores in our area and to my surprise, the cost were pretty close and I got better carpet and service overall. I would highly recommend Jacks to anyone needing carpet.

They were great. They were on time, they cleaned up after themselves, they took care of everything, and they moved all the furniture. They are trustworthy and they do a great job.

They were much cheaper than the other estimates I received. The guys that came were very nice and did a great job. They cleaned up well and were very careful when moving my furniture.

i went in there with a picture of the octogone pattern i was going to to making for my bathroom and the gum chewing princess order little square instread of octogons and then when it came in wrong he would not take it back it. He told me more CRAP about how it take 97 week to get what i wanted and yadadadad. Finally i had to the datile distributer in Norfolk and embarse him into taking them back but he would not take the expoxy grout back 200 dollars work the expoxy grout and after all that crap i thought my flour would be hexed. the guy was a liying donkey on something little so that did'nt go his way. so you can take that and watch him drive around in black mercades and wonder if you don't have a lot of money and it's not a big job how big of jack donkey he gonna be to you.

It cost $3000 to $3500. This was the second time that I used them. They installed the carpet throughout my house during the first time which was three years ago. They were punctual, fast and very professional. They were very responsive. I asked some other contractors for the flooring. Even though Jack's Tile and Carpet came back with the highest pricing, I hired them as I had a good experience with them previously. They would give you a call back and schedule on the days that you would actually be there. They got here reasonably early in the morning and got started. They went through a whole bunch of things. They leveled the floor in two days. They then came back with the tile and finished it by one. They seriously went through things very quickly and they were very clean. They did a great tile job and it is very nice. It turned out better than what I had expected and I was very happy.

Excellent! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for new floor covering of any type! Jack, the owner is very knowledgeable and very willing to give suggestions and recommendations. His installation staff is punctual and professional. Overall, a great experience and a BEAUTIFUL FLOOR!!
