They were very helpful and they all did a nice job for what we thought for a fair price.? The promptness of their replies and getting the work done and willingness to work with our contractor who is doing the porches is what I stood out for me.

Excellent. David and the other installer were early. They moved and disassembled our furniture and reassembled it. They explained where they were in the process. They vacuumed. It looks great.

I thought the price was equitable. I have worked with him before, and Jack is terrific, he comprehends your needs, and does whatever is necessary to do a proper job. His pricing is reasonable.

Everybody was really nice. The guy that came out was great and very nice. He was very trustworthy. I loved the company. The quote was about $11,000. The only reason I didn't go with them was because of the price. I thought they were expensive.

The Jack's tile and carpet crew arrived on time and went straight to work to remove the quarter round in two bedrooms. They worked very quickly and efficiently, like a well oiled machine! They installed the padding and carpets in both rooms, including closets, in what seemed like no time at all. The result was beautiful and more than we could have imagined. This was our second "job" with them, and we will continue to use them in the future for all our flooring needs. Once you find a company that does great work at reasonable prices, you don't venture elsewhere.

The carpet technicians from Jack's Tile & Carpet were meticulous in their work and did a superb job. (The owner of Jack's, Jack Hall, came out himself earlier to do the measuring, show us carpet samples, and prepare the estimate.) Because the stairwell is U-shaped, there are five stairs that are pie-shaped which made carpeting them much more complicated that just regular stairs. The techs measured everything so precisely there are no awkward shapes or issues where the pieces of carpeting were joined. The installation was done when promised. We are extremely pleased with the results and would not hesitate to use Jack's Tile & Carpet again.

Great service at installing quality carpet on my entire second floor, but they messed up big time in one area. When they were stretching the carpets to fit it into the various rooms, apparently, some of the floor boards loosened up with all of the banging that they were doing to stretch the carpet.? Now, after their work, several areas on my second floor have loose floor boards that squeak or knock when I walk over them and it's quite irritating.? These sounds were not there before I changed the carpet.? I would recommend that if someone intends to have carpeting redone in their home, that they complete a walk through of the area being re-carpeted (with Jack's carpet personnel) and ensure that loose floor boards are identified and fixed prior to the new carpet being laid over them.? I will now, eventually, require to have someone come out and take up the carpet in order to secure down the floor boards that are creaking.

Couldn't be happier! On time, on budget, flexible enough to work with other contractor's schedules. Totally professional and had to talent to handle anything that came up. We had a leak in a water line while we were on vacation and had to rip out the entire kitchen to repair the floor. the tile floor extended from the front entry way back through the kitchen an into the breakfast room. Of course it couldn't be matched so it all had to go. I found jack's Tile and another company on Angie's List. Jack's Tile is a turnkey provider with a show room and large selection of flooring available (tile, carpet, hardwood, etc.). the other company seemed to be a smaller business where you bought your tile yourself and he installed it. I made this choice of companies expecting a big difference in price. to my surprise there was less that $150 differnce in the quotes! I went with Jack'sTile thinking that they may be more capable given this was a water damage situation and not a straight remodel. Good decision! Ran into several problems unrelated to the leak. Sins of previous contractors and water damage from a leak around a patio door. Jack's Tile had the expertise to take care of everything. The crew doing the work was a great bunch of guys and I really enjoyed having them in the house. Jack's Tile will definitely be my first call the next time I need flooring.

Professional, punctual. Called afterwards to see if all went well. Needed an area fastened down...response and repair was fast and cheerful. Some seams noted in one house...offered to come and trim them. I haven't scheduled tat yet but will get back with review after. It's on the expensive house, unacceptable as is.

No problems at all. We needed a timely, quality installation in our newly purchased home. We trusted previous reviews on AL and picked a highly rated provided. We didn't have time to shop extensively, got one estimate which seemed reasonable and went with it. We were not disappointed in any way but cannot rate provider on price or quality as we didn't compare with any other provider. With that said, the installation looks and feels fine with no problems noted. We would definitely recommend Jacks Tile and Carpet to others.

Found Jack's Tile and Carpet on Angies list and based on the reviews and the fact that he was a local small business, decided to get an estimate. Jack personally came out and estimated the job. We went to his showroom and selected the floor we wanted. After checking with a few other businesses, I decided that his total price was more than reasonable and he carried the product we wanted (Tarket luxury vinyl tiles with a lifetime warranty). His in-house installers were punctual, courteous and most importantly did an excellent job.. We are very pleased with the floor and would highly recommend Jack's.

Jack's Tile & Carpet was excellent. My husband I had recently moved to Georgia but had purchased a condo in Williamsburg as a second home. We wanted to have new carpet installed in the condo as soon as we closed but were still in Georgia and needed to do this long distance. I worked with Robert who was awesome. He met with my real estate agent to measure and worked with me long distance and within a short time frame to help me get the carpet installed the day after closing. Making a purchase long distance is a little scary since you are not sure about what you are purchasing, but Robert made it so easy and painless. He was very helpful and professional and made excellent recommendations. The installers were great. They arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They were efficient, courteous, professional and did an excellent job. Jack's provides a quality product at a reasonable price and I would highly recommend them for everyone's carpet and flooring needs.

Jack was very helpful at the store and easy to work with. The carpet choices were good and he was very knowledgeable. I chose two different carpets and grades of padding for my den and my living room/dining room area. The installers arrived promptly and were very nice and professional although they did put marks/scrathes on my wall when moving my furniture . However, after the strips and padding had been installed no one checked with me regarding the carpet going into each area. I was working in my office upstairs and when I smelled the new carpet I decided to look at the progress. I discovered that the carpet was being installed in the wrong rooms (den carpet in living room; living room in den). I asked that they stop right away and explained the situation. They contacted Jack and he had them complete the install so that I would not have a house with no carpet. Two weeks later they came and reinstalled the carpet in the proper rooms. While pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable I felt like the whole process was being rushed which caused problems. This occurred with the initial contract which had to be corrected and also with the install. The carpet is now correct but the padding was not changed or corrected and I was given the fast talk about how the padding was better where it was in each room even though I had given consideration and made a decision for the padding based on our family usage of each room. I will most likely not use them again.

It could not have gone better. Jack is a real expert in all flooring matters. He made recommendations that were right on point. We wanted hardwood flooring that matched the flooring on our first floor. This flooring was no longer available; however, Jack called the factory and got us enough to do our bedroom. Outstanding support.

I called Carpet Hut and another company before deciding on Jack's. The initial interaction was a breeze. I only needed carpet in 3 rooms and my staircase (for a rental). Nothing fancy. Rich came over, showed some samples, got the measurements and we were shaking hands in no time. On the day of the install, however, I waited about 25 minutes for the crew to show up before calling Jack.? I was told, "They're on the way but running behind because of tunnel traffic."? I've lived in Hampton Roads for 30 years now, so I understand. But, if you're coming from Newport News to service VB clients, plan accordingly.? Plus, call your client to let them know you're running late.? Also, it didn't help that they showed up with McDonald's in hand when they finally did arrive. At first, I was skeptical that I'd made the wrong choice. Once they arrived, though, this is where the experience did a 180.? The two guys that showed were polite and began to work immediately.? They did an AMAZING job. Not only did they finish earlier than projected, the furniture was replaced exactly how I'd left it and clean up had already been completed.? Excellent install, too.? No seams, wrinkles, bunching, etc. Since my stairs were wrapped, I looked for gaps or frays. Nada. Great product, great install, great clean-up. Just need to tighten up on punctuality.

We had really great results from Jacks tile and carpet. We used them about a month ago. We have used him for about 15 years. We were putting in a new microwave, we had to take out some tiles and they were very custom tiles. He personally got his men out at 8 the next morning. He is very responsive, he has great idea on colors and textures and styles. He know people really well.

The sales personnel were always very professional, giving excellent advice and pointers for consideration. Thoughtful, to ensure the client sufficient time to make the best carpeting decision. Extremely easy appointments and quick delivery of goods. Installation crew were on time, professional, taking care with moving/replacement of owner's furniture. Great teamwork, thorough in the installation process and cleaning up. Overall experience was excellent with sales representative and owner even coming out to check on the installation progress. We would highly recommend this business to others needing renovation and new carpeting..

We used Jack's to install three rooms of new carpet and two rooms of pre-finished hardwood flooring. We were very impressed with Jack and his efforts to locate the right products for us. We felt that his pricing was quite fair (not super discounted, but very fair). The carpet installation went extremely smoothly. The workmen came exactly as scheduled and did an extremely professional job. The HW flooring job also began as scheduled and was performed with great care by a very careful and skilled carpenter. We were slightly disappointed with the product we selected both because of color match and the "micro bevels" which give it a less authentic look than some other products. I would suggest that you get a big enough sample of the wood you choose to make sure you will get the look you want. None of this was Jack's fault, however so I do not count it as a strike against the company at all. We had one challenging transition from our FROG to the stairway because the subfloor already was essentially flush with the top stair nose moulding. The first solution installed was a serious trip hazard and we had to arrange to get Jack back to help find a better solution. He worked hard to do so and did come back in a few weeks with a significantly better solution, although still not ideal. If I had a small criticism about Jack's, it would be that we would have been glad to have had this elevation issue pointed out while they were measuring for the job. Nonetheless, it would have been a subtle catch since carpet already was in place. Jack and his son were extremely ethical, organized and pleasant throughout both projects and I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again. I would, however, think a lot harder about my next HW installation and do more field testing before I threw the switch on it.

Due to the amount of work needed with my mom's house as well as the distance between my house and hers, I decided to go with a general contractor. However, of all of the carpet/flooring estimates I received, this one was far superior. I look forward to recommending them to others in the future.
