Jack's Tile & Carpet

It was the first time they came out to do work for us. They did a good job with good pricing. I had no complaints. They actually came out on Christmas eve to rip up the floor, to get prepared. So they were really, really very good at their schedules. They really kept to it and accommodated us really well.

Jack and his team were just wonderful. From helping me select just the right flooring and the quick installation, I really could not have asked for more. I will definitely use this excellent company again.

Pricing is reasonable but probably not as cheap as the big box stores. They are prompt and showed up as scheduled both for the measuring and the installations. Easy to work with and very customer focused. Will definitely use them again.

I needed to put new downstairs carpet in a house that I am selling.  I called Jack's and had an appointment the next day for a consult.  (Thu) He ordered the carpet that day and installed it the following Thursday. His rates were comparable to other places I called. I was please with the service.  The carpet looks great and they did not leave any mess.

The salesman that came out was very friendly and helpful, he showed us several samples and patiently answered our questions.  A couple of days latter we wanted to switch to a different carpet, he was again helpful and quoted us a price. One week before the install we made the selection. 
The installers were on time, they quick moved the furniture and while one laid the carpet tack strips, another removed the molding. They numbered each piece of molding so that I knew where they went. They quicking installed the carpet, the job was very professional. the carpet looks great. They moved the furniture back , cleaned up and left within 2 1/2 hours. Oyer all i would  use them again and highly recommend them to my friends.

I received estimates in early October for the work and was advised that work would not start until November due to backlog and having to order the tile.  I stated that my schedule would support starting the work the 2nd week of November.  I was contacted with a first available start date of  30 November, questioned the  delay and was told that the tile had to be fabricated.  Based on my work schedule, I could not start 30 November, and was scheduled for a 7 December start.  I was assured at that time the installation would take no more than a week since I was leaving town starting 19 December.  Mid-week of my install (9 December), it was determined that not enough tile was ordered to complete my half bath, and I was asked if the install could be completed Friday, 18 December, the day before I was scheduled to leave town.  After more discussion, the 1/2-bath was scheduled for completion on Tuesday, 15 December, and I received 50% off the labor cost for the bathroom for the inconvenience.  Meanwhile, the carpenter arrived to install my 1/4-round (trim) in all rooms where the tile was completed and did a very poor job in the kitchen.  The ends were not properly cut, there were nail heads sticking up in every piece, there was a nail that was bent in half and sticking up that he was aware of but only fixed after I asked about it, and he smeared caulk on the floor, several inches up the baseboards, and in huge globs in the corners.  My husband and I sanded and repaired those areas and had to remove, cut new pieces and re-install them.  I also received a discount on this work.  I wish I could post the pictures I took of some of the issues.  The tile work was good overall, with exception of the pieces that were not level in the 1/2-bath.
I appreciate the responsiveness to my concerns, the fact that they compensated me for the delay and poor craftsmanship, but would have preferred to pay full price for a job done right the first time and on schedule.  They received many great reviews, but I would not hire them again.  Maybe this just happened to be an "off" job.

Robert was easy to work with even when I rushed him a bit.  We wanted the work done on a particular week when I was off work.  This was quicker than they usually schedule jobs, but he was able to get the tile portion done that week.  I was surprised that they could do the cement board and the tile the same day, but the tile guy explained that they were using fast set materials.  They did schedule the replacement of the shoe molding for the next day.  Their carpenter took his time, but custom-mixed the stain to match the existing wood and the results look really great!  He used oak when some people use "foam."  The carpet is great the they worked with us on colors.  It makes a big difference in the house.

The owners provided excellent service and the installers arrived in a timely manner (Early) and were able to complete the job in half the estimated time. ?The job was inspected by a third party installer who was also impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the installation.

It took them longer than estimated but they let me know along the way about the items that caused delays.

Excellent service from start to finish. The Sales Manager provided excellent advice during the carpet selection phase of our project and answered all our questions and request for additional information in a timely manner. He was on time for the estimate and the measuring process took only 1/3 the time of other companies. Their estimate was substantially better than a competitor on an apples to apple comparison. Jack's has a discount for Angieslist members and even advised us of a promotion that the carpet manufacturer was running if we waited two weeks to get into the promotion window. The installation was scheduled for a time that met our schedule. The installation crew showed up at the appointed time (actually about 15 minutes early), introduced themselves and got to work without any delay. They moved the large pieces of furniture for our entire second floor with care
and even took extra care in moving several antiques with marble tops. There was no damage to our furniture or our walls. The installers were professional, pleasant, quiet and very respectful to us and our home. They worked the entire day only taking a  short lunch break and completed the job on the second day as scheduled and in a very professional manner. The work area was cleaned completely and all debris was removed offsite. Our Sales Manager followed up with us the day after the install completed to make sure we were satisfied. We have no complaints at all and highly recommend Jack's Tile and Carpet.

to,Rusty and Dave arrived right at 8:00 am with a full truck.  We had painted the living room and dining room recently, so both rooms were totally empty except for the basic furniture.  They moved all the furniture into the great room except the dining room table, which wouldn?t fit through the door, even with the extra leaf removed. They didn?t want to take it apart if they didn?t have to, so they left it in a corner.
Dave started on the carpet, Rusty on the kitchen.  Dave pulled up all the existing carpet and tack strip/staples in both living room and dining room.  As mentioned above, both rooms had been recently painted, including trim work.  That showed after all the carpet was pulled up; a line of carpet tuff all along the bottom of the trim had to be scraped off. And Dave did so without damaging the new paint.
Rusty and Dave worked very well together.  They both knew their job, they didn?t talk a lot, and they helped the other as needed.
Rusty pulled up the carpet in the kitchen, put down a ¼ inch flooring of wood, filled all the cracks and seams in the wood with something that required a huge fan to dry, and then glued down the vinyl flooring. The kitchen is an odd shape, with odd trim corners and angles, but Rusty did a good job making the quarter round trim work with what we have, even staining the cut edges.
The three stairs to the laundry room were a bit tricky, as Dave had to work around a water-heater, but they look great, and in the upstairs bedroom, you can?t tell where Rusty patched the carpet.
I am VERY happy with Jack?s carpet and would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

The company was extremely efficient and flexible. We were on a two week deadline when we contacted them. We had a little bit of difficulty in the first few days arranging a time- our fault- but they were very patient and made recurrent attempts to get in touch with us to ensure we could get the requested work done on time. We cleared out the room ourselves which saved us some money. When they arrived to do the work they did it with incredible efficiency. They took only a hostr time, but the work was done perfectly and they did excellent clean up. Would definitely hire again.

The guys that installed the backsplash were excellent. They were awesome. Jack was almost flakey to me but the people who did the job were amazing. I'm very pleased with the work.
