+ 0 moreI brought my computer in, and it took a while but it had like 200 viruses on it. Apparently, it is about a dollar a virus, so it was about $200, but it is a computer of a few thousand dollars and it was definitely worth it for me. I call them on the phone and ask them a few questions and they actually answer it. I had called the last week and told them that I had a four-year old laptop and I had two gigs of ram and would it be worth putting it I there. He told me that it is still going to be slow. He didn't say that I need to come in and they would look at it. He didn't try to rip me up for business. They are reliable. They don't try to sell you something you don't need, which they really could do since I am really bad with electronic equipment. They have always been real good about showing me and giving me information on exactly what I am asking; not any more or any less.
Description of Work: I use Best Buy for any computer, VCR or DVD repairs. My computer totally crashed and they had to keep it for a while to make it better.

Description of Work: They didn't ring up the sale price for bundle package and you had to go back to the service desk. They were nice but they just couldnt get it right.

+ -1 moreFor $69.00 got a piece of paper that didn't help a bit nor did they tell me that they refuse to write causation reports nor will they estimate the cost for repair. Do go to someone else. Don't go to Best Buy unless you just want to throw your money away if you're trying to file a homeowners claim (I have a computer floater associated with my policy).
Description of Work: Don't ever take a broken computer to Best Buy if you are working with an insurance company. They refuse to provide the cause of a computer failure nor would they provide an estimate without sending the computer out to develop the estimate. I knew what the problem was when I went to the Geek Squad, but my insurance company required a written report. I received a report that said it was a broken video card. My response ... No kidding.

+ -1 moreThe technicians at Best Buy are the most experienced in this region. That is one of the reasons we purchased it there. We thought it may be very costly if it was a virus problem, but it wasn't. The repair only took two days, and when we picked it up, the problem was explained. We were also instructed on how to avoid this occurrence in the future.
Description of Work: Best Buy repaired our PC Computer after some necessary programs were accidentally deleted. This caused the computer to lock up at times.
