Good communication via e-mail, prompt arrival.Technician was polite and professional. We decided not to have the fan installed at the time but plan to hire them to do so in the future when we have money in the budget for it.

I was very pleased with Gault Electric and would definitely recommend them to anyone with electrical needs. Although they are located in Newport News they provide service to the Virginia Beach area on a regular basis. I found them by doing an "attic fan" search on the Angie's List website. Jon provided a free estimate for the work very shortly after I called the company, and he provided a 10 percent discount because I used Angie's List to find them. The work was scheduled within a week and was performed in a very professional manner. James was excellent and was able to improvise when faced with an odd sized fan in my particular case. I am happy with the work and Gault Electric. I will go back to them for any future electrical needs. They also specialize in Heating and Air Conditioning.

They came very quickly, gave me a fair estimate and they made recommendations for us for the light fixture to make sure that it was punctual and the light would come.

I was very pleased with Gault. The representative was open to discuss what I wanted done and explained the job to be performed well. The installer was courteous and timely. Once the job was completed there was no evidence they were even there, they cleaned up so well. Yes, I would recommend them and use them again.

Our outdoor receptical would not work and we had installed a new outlet but it still wouldn't work. We called Gault and the two gentlemen that came out allowed me the time to tell them the problem and show them where it was. They immediately went to work and discovered someone that previously had our house had redirected wired. They tracked them down, reconnected them, tested for safety and wrapped it up. All lights, switches, and plugs are in good working order now.

It went great! The guys showed up on time as promised. I reviewed the job with the gentlemen and left them at the house while I went back to work. They called me when the work was completed. When I walked into the house and started examining the job, I couldn't help but smile! They did an amazing job! Everything works beautifully and the kitchen lighting is stunning! I have used Gault before and every time I remember why....they are more than professional! They are courteous, respectful of others' property and all around nice, decent guys!

They showed up right on time, got to work and figured things out very fast. They are really bright and know their business. The problems we were having were not at all what I was expecting. They fixed everything quickly and were on their way. The price was incredible. I have never had an experience like this with an electrician before. All I can say is "Wow."

The two technicians called prior to picking up the range to let me know they were on their way. I really appreciated the heads up. The old range was removed quickly and taken away. There was a size difference in the ranges and the new install required cutting counter space. The measurements were carefully taken & rechecked several times (always a good thing--) measure more--cut once. Once done cutting ---- all sawdust was cleaned up immediately. They realized that the part for the "hook up" was not included (as it should have been) with the range, so one of the tech's went back to the store to get it. The other one began working on changing out the switches. It was a short round trip & the install of the range was a perfect fit. Then they discovered that in some of the original switches, parts were cracked and also some screws were stripped. There was another short quick trip to a local hardware store to get necessary parts. (Really above & beyond!) They both were professional, courteous and very efficient. The tarp & all other equipment was cleaned up & removed quickly when the job was finished. The cost of service shown is the price for changing & replacing the switches. The price for the range install was part of the store purchase & was separate. Every company should have great team work like this. A++

Ronnie came out to do the quote and showed up on time and spent 2 hours fixing/figuring out the root cause of 3 electrical outlets not working correctly (at no cost!). I was able to schedule a day quickly for all the work to be completed. They were late showing up, but the communication was excellent and the excuse for being late was very reasonable. We had 3 technicians come out to complete the job. They finished everything in under 2 hours! They did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards and didn't leave any marks on the walls or ceilings. We'll definitely be calling Gault for any future electrical needs!!

I was extremely satisfied with Gault Electric. From the estimate to the completed work, all technicians and staff were professional, polite and on time every time. They answered all our questions and explained what they were doing. A very good experience. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I was impressed when I first met with the owner of Gault Electric. Mike went out of his way to make sure the entire acquisition and installation process went far beyond what any customer could expect. His commitment to complete satisfaction was evident throughout the entire process. Everyone in Mike's company, including knowledgeable, competent, and professional installation personnel, along with a marvelous office staff was a pleasure to work with. They all were dedicated to Mike,s commitment to complete customer satisfaction. I was very fortunate to have been referred to Gault Electric!

Two individuals showed up during the arranged period of 3:00 to 5:00. They called first to let me know they were headed to my house. Both were very professional and genuinely interested in my issue. They listened to what I had to say and showed me where I was correct and where I wasn't. They installed the outlet in the garage even though I had only called about having an electrical issue in my kitchen and garage evaluated. The took the time to go over some different options I had to resolve my problem. They took about one hour and worked efficiently to complete the tasks. I thought the bill was very reasonable. I will use them again.

Kitchen overhead 4 tube florescent fixture failed so I referenced Angie's list to find an electrical contractor to repair the light as the electrician I had used for years passed away. Gault Electric LLC seemed to fit the bill and I had heard good reports about their work from friends. When I called to request service they told me that the soonest they could come would be Tuesday of the following week. This delay would be the only complaint I have about the entire experience. The service tech was supposed to be here between 1 and 2PM. He called about 11AM saying that he had a cancellation and could be here within 30 minutes if that was OK. I said sure and he showed up at 1130AM as expected. Eric got right to work. He quickly found the problem with the wall plugs and repaired that. He then discovered bad ballasts in the overhead kitchen fixture but did not have the proper parts on his truck to replace the bad parts so he went to a local hardware store to find suitable replacements. He was a very skilled technician and had both problems fix in 90 minutes. The repair cost was in line with what I expected.

I have an elaborate pumping system under my home because my basement floods with large amounts of rain in a short time span. When Tropical Storm Andrea was approaching Hampton Roads I realized one of the pumps was not working. Knowing the issue was electrical I called Gault Electric when they were recommended to me. Mike Gault and crew responded in a timely fashion and diagnosed the problem and made the repairs. They were very courteous and professional and repaired my system in no time flat. I can't say enough about how satisfied I was on that day, they were my Hero's. Gault missed their first appointment due to an in-house company mix-up. After rescheduling, their representative came out to our Sandbridge home and gave a presentation on the installation of a propane-powered home standby generator. The presentaion was excellent and the representative answered all of my questions. He prepared a detailed estimate and left it with me. We did not use Gault for the installation because their estimate was considerably higher than the two other estimetes I received.

I'ved used Gault Electric, LLC, for the last six years so obviously I like them. They've always been competitive, they've always done what I've asked them to, they've always showed up on a timely manner and always done good work. I've got nothing but good things to say about them at this point. The price is fair. Their work is always right.

Mr. Gault came to our house nearly on time. He was courteous and professional. He assessed the situation at our home and after some explanation and some literature, he stated he would email a quote to me in 2-3 days which he did. However, because of the size of his company, (22 employees) which drives up the overhead to operate, his cost to install generator was approximately 16% higher than the company I finally hired to perform the task. He stated his company had the Lowe's Home Improvement contract for the state. Also, his after install yearly maintenance was double the cost. However, I do believe he would have performed an adequate job installing this equipment. He stated his company installs approximately 1 generator a day and that much repetition does create alot of experience

Person answering the call was polite but as mentioned above I was informed by her that they dont do appliance repairs.

They had six workers the day they installed my generator, and Paul Grimes, the master electrician was in charge of the install. His workers, Clay Taylor, Younes Charak, Jeff Valentine, and Daniel and William Cannon were the plumbers that did the work. The person that did the demo is Amber Taggart, she was very experienced and explained everything, I was very pleased with her! We highly recommend this company! We've had outages three times and within a few seconds the generator came on immediately, it works very well.

They were late in coming out but he called before the appointment time and then he was very good about diagnosing the problem and fixing it quickly. They were very professional.

Friday afternoon Steve came over to sit down and give a quote for the job. We chit-chatted about the neighborhood and age of the house. We just purchased this 1958 built home and missed the fact that all the outlets were the old 2-prong outlets and not grounded 3-prong. Steve inspected a few of the outlets and determined ground wire would need to be run to each plug, and the house grounded. He gave a decent estimated price, and on top of that a nice military discount. The job was scheduled to start on Monday. Monday morning, James and Eunis showed up on time and got to work. Let me say, James knows his stuff. He was courteous, friendly, very down to earth and got to work immediately. I let the guys at it and retreated to an upstairs room. By 5pm that evening, James and Eunis had replaced all the downstairs outlets and run the wire. James even installed some GPC outlets which weren't part of the initial quote since they were located near water sources. At one point during the day, James had me look at a dangerously wired outlet and had a solution on it. An outlet had been installed next to the bathtub and was wired directly without even an electrical box behind the wall for support. James moved the plug to the left, ran new wire, installed a box, and installed the GPC style out (all at no extra cost) Day 2, the guys showed up on time again and got to work upstairs. I told James about some guests that would be arriving to stay with us a few days in the morning. Based off that James and Eunis worked well into the evening hours to complete the job. I really appreciated that. The job took just 2 days for over 40 outlets in the house to be replaced and for a wire to be run from a new light switch in the living room. I am very impressed with the level of professionalism from these guys. From talking with Julie over the phone for appointment setting, to Steve showing up for the estimate, to James and Eunis completing the work - this company made the entire contracting job smooth, painless, and very user friendly.

Overall, this went extremely well. I'm so bad with names but everyone from the first gentlemen, to the lady that called me back, and James C. was very courteous and helpful. I will highly recommend this company to anyone who ask! I will be calling them for future work!!
