Gault did a great job. They were punctual, knowledgable, skilled. All pre and post install work was handled with care. Job site was clean, and they answered all my questions.

They were very professional and came out to do the repair when they said they would. They stayed very close to the original estimate they gave us. They cleaned up their mess very well and their work was exceptionally professional.

Kevin came by a gave an estimate that was about half of what I was expecting to pay. Kevin was punctual, polite, and professional. He had many answers to my many questions. He also didn't have issues with making a quick phone call to get answers that he didn't have on hand. Kevin and James showed up to start the work. They went right to work and did a quality job. Most of what their job was fixing the previous guy's mistakes. Quite a number of the little fixes never made it to the invoice and were fixed at no additional cost to us. When more parts were needed that we would be charged for, they asked permission first, explained everything, and made sure that all the questions had answers, and soon finished. James stayed to ensure that all things were working properly, and it was good that he did as an exterior electrical problem was found with the Dominion power box that was a safety issue. He made calls to move up the inspection and Dominion. The city inspected about 5 minutes after the work was done. Dominion followed a few hours later. Here's the most impressive thing: A few hours later (about the time Dominion was showing up) James called back to ensure that the city had finished inspecting, that Dominion had finished their work, and if there had been (or was) anything else that we needed. I recommend Gault Electric for all your electrical needs on the Peninsula.

Initial call on Friday afternoon at 4:50pm was handled by a knowledgeable person. I'm always afraid when I call someone at that time, they may have "one foot out the door", but that was not the case. Estimator(Rich)arrived on time, quickly did his job, then provided a documented cost estimate. When I told him I got the contractors name from Angie's List, he immediately applied a 10% discount to the cost. Installer(Ken Brown)arrived the next day on time, running the new wiring quickly, despite some unforeseen interference from a large vent duct. He carefully installed the microwave oven using extra lag bolts to improve the support strength. He explained what he was doing, and why, at each step, then cleaned up thoroughly at the end.

I called Gault Electric to get a quick estimate for a ceiling fan that was not working and the receptionist who answered the phone was very condescending and unhelpful. I have several homes - a few that I rent - and I was hoping to find an electrician I could use on a regular basis. However, I will certainly NOT be using this company.

The guys that came over to do the work were very friendly and neat. The only thing I found to be a little high was the price they gave us because other companies charge less then they do. Something I really liked though was the fact that when they had to do the replacement they left for the day. The good thing is they made it work for that day so we could use it and then when they came in the next day to replace the part they did it very quickly. We have not had any problem since the repair.

The receptionist was very helpful and got us an appointment right away. The electrician arrived on time and loaned my husband his trenching tool so that he could dig the trench and not have to pay the electrician for it. While my husband was digging the trench the electrician wired the new outlet into the box in the garage, including cutting the drywall and later closing up the drywall. It took about 3 hours including a trip for parts (which time we were not charged for) and everything is working well.

When I was switching my utility room to the garage that is attached to the side of my home, I needed Gault to close out the old outlets in the utility room and install new ones in the garage area. I really did not run into any problems with them. They came right out and had things done correctly without any hassles. They were very nice and polite throughout the whole process. I feel they were friendly enough to consider hiring again.

We have been involved with remodeling the whole house and we wanted the wiring checked or replaced if it needed to be. The electrician was very nice and extremely thorough. This is what we wanted, so we won't have to tear out the walls after the remodeling is complete. He did it without making a mess and we feel much better knowing the wiring will not create any fire danger. We plan on calling him back to install some lighting in the future.
