Atlantic Vent

During a conversation with my neighbor, I learned that he had experienced a problem with his dryer and had set up a service call with the company from whom he had purchased the dryer. Meanwhile, before the service date, he discovered that the dryer vent had become significantly clogged with lint. The sales/service company didn't do cleaning but recommended Atlantic Vent. He called them and they came the next morning. Since our homes are the same age and neither of us had had the dryer vents checked in 15 years, I asked the Atlantic Vent technician if he would check and clean my ductwork after he finished next door. I had the satisfaction of observing his performance at my neighbors' home and was suitably impressed. As arranged, the technician (Bill) came over and proceeded to dismantle, inspect and clean out the dryer vent (about a 5 gallon can worth, I estimate), vacuumed and swept up the floor around the washer & dryer, and replaced a section of the interior vent which had been improperly installed years ago. I want to add that the dryer in this house is on the first floor and the vent leads through the ceiling, an attic space above and exits the roof at the level of the ceiling of the second story...weirdly creating a vertical duct some 20 feet tall before opening to the outside. The entire process at my home took about 45 minutes. Bill cleaned up completely, made out an invoice for a credit card payment, and was on his way to the next appointment in under an hour. In addition, we had some very helpful discussion about vent/duct safety during that time. Overall, it was an educational experience what helped us sleep better at night and convinced us that we would repeat this service again in the next several years.

Our home is approximately 15 years old, and we began to notice it was taking longer for our clothes to dry. They responded promptly, and you would NOT believe the lint and other garbage they were able to remove...absolutely amazing!!!
