Very well. The crew of 6 worked from early morning to 7 pm and did additional work that was not in the original estimate. They were very sensitive to our request of being conservative on the limbing, while still keeping our woodsy feel. They moved lawn items such as hanging baskets, water features and other obstacles that may have been damaged as they took sweeping branches from the backyard to the front wood chopper. Everything was cleaned up beautifully. The next morning as we saw our "new view" I could not believe how good it looked.

The estimate was done professionally and the man was really nice and explained everything.

I don't have anything negative to say--would like to use this provider again but put in a call to him and left a message and he didn't call me back. My neighbor also thought he did a great job on my property and put in a call to him but didn't get a call back either. I know he's busy but that's not good.

They showed up on time and completed all work agreed on during an earlier meeting. Between the time of the first meeting to set the scope of work and coming to perform it several other trees needed to be removed and they did this with no question or additional cost. They took their time and were very careful not to damage any plants, other trees or the lawn. When they removed a tree someone climbed the tree, tied off the piece to cut cut it then lowered it to the ground. They did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end.

It all went very well, the trees had to be removed from the top down, as they were close to the house and swimming pool. Very well done I will hire them again in the near future as we will have more trees to remove. Very professional, on time, courteous, I highly recommend VA Contracting.

Was very pleased with the quality of work including communication and setting expectations

The tree people ground up the stump as requested. They completely ground up the stump and roots. For the price I guess they do not remove the sawdust. That's not a real problem though, it can be recycled as mulch. All in all, I am pleased.

They contacted me almost immediately for the estimate. Unfortunately, they were back logged because of the response to a coupon they offered. I took almost 5 weeks for them to do the job. They were scheduled to arrive at 10am but didn't arrive until 1:30. Aside from the delays they did a great job and I would use them again in the future.

The crew was great, lovely to work with and very professional. They also cleaned up the yard beautifully afterwards. I am delighted with everything and will absolutely call again.

It worked out excellent. They responded on time and even cut more trees than what I expected at no extra charge.

It went Fantastic!!! They cleared all the brush that was all over, cut down 3 dead trees put mulch in the woods to keep the snakes away. I couldn't ask for a better bunch of professionals. I will be hiring them back in a few months to get some more trees down. I would not use anyone else. They did an Excellent Job!!!!!! Thank you guys it looks Fantastic!!!

The estimator was very courteous, knowledgeable, and responsive to our questions and concerns. Although we decided not to proceed with the work, we are confident that we could recommend this company to anyone needing tree servicing.

I saw the $199. Angie's coupon and decided to finally get rid of the large willow in our backyard that had been dead for several years. VA Contracting responded promptly and David came out (on time) to estimate the job. While there, he noticed a long-neglected area (eyesore) and explained how he could clean it up; I was smart enough to agree. There were several neglected piles of wood from trees that had been taken down previously; he agreed to split the logs so we could use them. We had trees near the house that needed to be removed. We agreed on the work, the date to do it, and the cost. The afternoon before they were scheduled, David called, said they hadn't finished their previous job due to rain, and wanted to start a few hours later the next day. They showed up earlier than I thought they would and immediately made up for the lost time. They stayed longer than they had to and showed up early the next day; then they worked all day. They went above and beyond, and it was all done safely and professionally. If they found something along the way that needed to be done, they just took care of it. It was a top-notch job from start to finish; David and his crew and his company are first-class. They did more than I would ever have expected; they did more than I asked; they did more than I would have thought to ask. If I were not there, I believe the job would still have been done the same way. I have had other excellent tree companies here to do work; VA Contracting is better in every way I can think of, and it is easier and less stressful to do business with them. I think they did more than they had to and worked longer than they had to, but they now have a loyal new customer. That's a smart way to grow your company and conduct business. I trust David and have no reservations about saying that.

This contractor is the absolute BEST contractor I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Every man on the crew was courteous, accommodating, and professional to ensure I was happy with the job. These guys went OVER & ABOVE what was requested. I HIGHLY recommend this tree service to anyone who wants the assurance of a job done right, on time, and done to your total satisfaction.

We purchased the big deal on angle's list of $400 dollars of tree service for $200. I got a further discount of $5 on the phone for buying the deal when I called them with a question I had.The owner of the company came out on the day and time as promised. He was very pleasant to talk to and agreed to do all the trees in the amount paid. They completed the job very quickly and professionally. The hauled away all the debris. Overall a great experience and I would definitely use them again.

I would happily recommend David and his crew to anyone. We had contracted with another company to do some tree work which they did horribly and incompletely, leaving a great pile of debris in the front yard and essentially ruining a tree in the front yard to the point it needed to be removed completely. David came on the day we agreed and at exactly the appointed time (Tuesday 4/7/2015) and offered not only to take down the tree at his earliest opportunity within the next week but he also spontaneously offered to come by the house prior to that and remove the debris as it was quite unsightly. I had to go out of town for 3 days and arrived home to a debris free front yard and a phone call from David saying he would be here on Saturday (4/11/2015) as his crew agreed to work extra (the tree really did look bad). At 8:00 Saturday morning, David and crew arrived and started work taking down the large Maple tree, trimming another oak tree in front, and doing more branch removal from a number of trees out back. They actually did a little more work than we had discussed. After completing the cutting and trimming, they cleaned up both the front and back yards and left them in better shape than before (they picked up an number of branches , twigs, etc. that were on the ground before they arrived and were not a result of their work). They even cleaned the street curb which was still somewhat clogged with leftover leaves from winter. David was on time, efficient, well priced, and does even more than what I expected. I will definitely use him in the future.

They did an amazing job of removing three VERY large trees, removing limbs from many other trees and taking out those pesky saplings! It was also fun watching their dare-devil job! Clean up was complete and follow up too!

It was excellent – better than expected. They went around the whole property and trimmed bushes. They cut back the tree limbs off of the fence and did some edging. They were at the home for 2-3 hours.

David and his crew were very nice and efficient. The amazing part of the process was how quiet the whole job was. Despite the need to remove very large trees, they left the area as if the trees were never there. They were also kind enough to remove many branches that were laying around. If we need more trees removed or planted, we know who we will be calling.

I purchased an Angie's Big Deal which saved me $200. I was contacted the next day to set up an appointment for an estimate which occurred a few days later. David Munoz, the estimator, was punctual and pleasant. He listened to my requests and questions and offered detailed reasons for his opinions. The estimate was much more reasonable than one from another provider. David wrote up the estimate listing all the work to be done. A job cancellation allowed his team to do the work the next day. The men were punctual and focused on the job which involved much tree climbing and chainsawing. By day's end, the work was finished including a fine clean up and removal of the debris. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend VA Contracting LLC. for tree services.

I took advantage of an Angies List special. David and his crew were terrific. David was professional throughout the experience. Very customer service oriented. He was responsive, punctual and professional. I was impressed with the consistency with which he communicated with me. I find that very atypical for a contractor. It was clear to me throughout the job that David's main goal was to make sure I was happy with his work. He gave good advice but made sure I was directing the project. The crew did an amazing clean up job. I would not hesitate to use David the next time I need a tree man. I could not be more pleased with the experience from beginning to end.

Well, it took longer than estimated. Only because the take down was complicated given the height and span of the tree. Plus it extended over a fence and hedge line all along the edge of the property and the stump was very large. It was a complicated process evidenced by the communication among the crew and the rigging required to safely drop some of the limbs. To their credit it was obvious that safety was first in their minds at all times. As can happen on a job there was some minor property damage inadvertently caused during the job. To David's credit he took full responsibility for the damage and replaced or repaired all the damaged items. To me it says more about the integrity of a contractor when they do the right thing after things don't go right. This is the second time I've used David and his crew and would do so again.

David and the crew were very prompt, courteous, and responsive. David took time to make sure I understood everything that they would be doing. His recommendations were sound, and the work was performed in an excellent manner, and on the date promised! I would definitely use them again!!

The work was satisfactory and all the removed limbs were taken away. I was originally told I would have my work completed 'around Thanksgiving time. When this did not happen, I contacted them believing I had been forgotten. After the contact, I was put on the schedule.

They were fantastic! They were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient, finishing work at our property in a day! We would definitely hire them again. They also ended up doing several thousand dollars worth of work for my husband's parents; they (my in-laws) were very pleased with the work, as well.
