Description of Work: They did a great job of cutting down tress, cleaning up the property and chipping the wood. | The foreman MIguel (?) was very professional. The only negative was it took a long time to schedule but the weather has not been cooperative. They were supposed to come one day- I blocked out the day to be there, then they had truck issues and could | not come till the next day. I was not there. |I would like to have them come back to do some more trees and branches that still need to come down, but I have not had a response to my calls. |I would high to recommend them. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: We purchased a $400 tree service from this company to help clear out some limbs on a house we are renovating. We purchased the service, contacted the contractor and made an appointment. The contractor skipped our appointment and did not stop by the house to give a quote for the service we were requesting. I contacted a few weeks later to find out about the delay and was told it was due to the weather (understandable). We set up another appointment and still the contractor never showed up. At this time it had been over 4 weeks since we purchased. I finally got in touch with contractor one more time to see if he could stop by the house and check out the tree which he said he could. He was supposed to call me after checking it out and give me a quote. Again, no further communication. I then called one last time to see if he had been able to get out to the house. He said he had left a note on the door with a quote (this is a renovation house and no note was found). He quoted me a $1500-2000 job for the service we were requesting (even though we had just wanted to know what the $400 service would do). After telling him that I was discouraged by the price and that I'd be requesting a full refund of the service, his tone became very unpleasant. | |Due to the amount of time from the first purchase to the refund request, we had missed the simple "refund time" and had to request a full refund from Angie's list. Luckily they understood our predicament and provided us with a full refund. | |

Description of Work: Remove tree and large branches from another tree.

Description of Work: The cost includes the value of the Angie's List deal ($400) plus an additional $350. David was very responsive and did a good work. We are currently trying to hire him for more work.

Description of Work: Dave and his crew cleared approximately 25 feet on each side of my lane which is close to a tenth of a mile long. They cleaned up all the fallen logs in the area first and then took down quite a few pine trees. Mulch from branch grinding was used to cover the open area. They also removed a few trees closer to the house, sidewalled several large oaks around the pool area, and removed a very large oak right next to the pool fence. Dave and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Very professional and did quality work. The job ended up being bigger than initially planned so Dave rescheduled some things to stay an extra couple of days. The contract included stump grinding for all removed trees. Dave asked if they could return during the off-season/winter to finish that work since he was already behind schedule. I agreed to that arrangement. I rated them a "B" for responsiveness since they have not yet returned to complete the stump grinding (now March 2016). I am reaching out to him today to follow up and I'm sure the work will be completed in the near future.

Description of Work: VA Contracting/VA Tree and Stump removed a very large, diseased silver maple from my backyard, pruned another large maple of dead limbs, and removed a number of scrub trees, privets and bushes and stumps from the property. Work was performed as agreed, in less time than estimated, and they were able to accommodate additional last-minute requests. David is easy to get in touch with and responds quickly.

Description of Work: Knowledgeable, professional, timely, and very nice group. We will use them again when we need tree services (this time they removed tree limbs, trees, and planted 5 new trees that they purchased and brought to our house).

Description of Work: They cleaned up a lot of tree limbs and small branches that I was going to use in my fireplace before I switched to propane. They cut down several large bushes and two small trees and also cut some branches that were touching the house.

Description of Work: NOTHING. He has my money; I still have my tree. I was very impressed when I first met him. Wanted trees and clearing I even considered purchasing his all day offers for two days. Wasn't ready for full days but I have a tree that is hanging over our road. I wanted to give him some work. Well still waiting. He got his money on January 18th. He indicated he would cut the tree Wednesday before the snow. I have reached out on the 21st and again on February 1. Very frustrated.

Description of Work: Seasonal trimming of 12 crepe myrtle trees. Grinding and hauling away the debris. This is the second time I've used VA contracting and hope to so in the future as well.
