We have several trees cut down, branches removed from trees, one stump ground.

At first, he was very pleasant and nice on the phone and we set up a time, but he never showed up and I never heard from him. I called them three times, and he never came to do the any further work.

Took down a dead tree. Highly professional and dependable. Definitely recommend!!!

Initially, we communicated via Angie's List messaging to set up the first appointment. However, the service provider mistakenly archived one of my messages and did not show up for the initial appointment. The service provider had to cancel the second appointment due to some emergency work. We finally met on the third scheduled appointment. I commented that I had had similar work done at a lower cost in the past. However, I then decided to accept the offered price because, I wanted to get the Angie's List discount. But, the provider refused and stated he would prefer I get another estimate so, I would know he was not charging too high a price. I then got another estimate, which was lower, so I paid the other provider perform the work.

First they didn't contact me after purchase--although I later learned that the contact was through AL message board which I didn't know. I called them and Mr. Munoz came on October 28th (21 days after purchase). Made appointment for work for November 19th. After that there were weather problems and several miscommunications. On November 27th, I cancelled the project and requested a refund through AL. Shortly after Mr Munoz called me to apologize and asked if could still do the work at no charge and I agreed. Mr Munoz came with his crew and did a fabulous job trimming the one tree and cutting down the diseased tree, including stump removal. They even moved plants out so that they wouldn't be damaged by the stump grinder. I was very happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism and integrity of David Munoz in doing everything possible to make this right. I did offer to pay him in the end but he refused. I would definitely hire them again.

We were introduced to VA Contracting by a special offer. We were promptly contacted to set up an appointment with David M. (owner) to review the scope of work. We scheduled a day that worked for us. When the crew arrived, they quickly assessed the job of pruning our leylands and did the work with attention, care for our existing landscaping, and with an orderly, efficient plan. David took great care to ensure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the outcome and enjoyed meeting David and his team. They did a great job and we were able to stay within our budget!

The team was wonderful! Worked out in the hot sun all day and did not complain at all. worked straight through lunch and finished all the work in about 4 hours. The team worked well together and were very personable. They were also very knowlegeable with suggestions on what should be cut. Very professional. I have recommended them to seversl people already.

I had difficulty from the get go communicating with VA Contracting...maybe because I was new to Angie's list. I called Angie's list and finally got someone to give me an estimate. The estimate for the amount of work to be done was way out of line according to my husband. I just want out. Even would like a refund on my Angie's list membership. Maybe this is not for me.

The initial meeting to review scope of work was missed due to busiess-side scheduling error. However, subsequent steps were handled well from there. The value of services was acceptable and the work was professionally completed.

It was fine. There was some tardiness in getting back to me on the phone and setting up the appointment, but once they came everything went well.

The entire job went smoothly. Prior to the job, the owner came out to scope out what equipment would be required, and to,set an date that was convenient for me. The day of the job, I was called to let me know when to expect the crew. A three man team arrived and got to work. It was obvious the men were experienced. Climbing a 100 foot tree and cutting major limbs is not for a novice or faint of heart. The owner was extremely personable and pleasant. He appeared not to mind my observing and asking way too many questions. I was impressed that they were cautious about damaging nearby trees considering the tree to be cut were in a wooded area and not near any structure of value. I was asked where I wanted each tree to expedite my splitting the wood chunks for the fire place. A final test of their customer service was my asking that two trees that I had felled be cut to firewood size and the branches chipped. It was not part of the original contract, but was readily agreed to, and added cost was reasonable. Overall, it was a pleasant and educational experience - worth it just to,see the giant slingshot in action.

There was an initial mix up with scheduling a time for an estimate. After that I was tremendously pleased with the advice I received about the tree work I wanted to have done, the punctuality of crew, the equipment that the crew had, their work ethic, and last but not least, the clean-up of the work site. I cannot tell you how nice it was to deal with such a professional crew. I can heartily recommend VA Contracting LLC when you have tree work to be done!

These guys are awesome! They did the work completely and professionally. The removed small trees and brush from the fence along my property and cleaned up the weeds and vines at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.

Work was done well. I was consulted for specific instructions during the project. Contractor confirmed my satisfaction before his departure.

Contacted Va Contracting to schedule appointment. On Oct 14th Joey scheduled appointment for David to come to my house on the 17th at 1:30. David never showed. I followed up with Joey to ask what happened and didn't hear back after multiple attempts. Finally got an email from David asking to call him. I spoke with David and he didn't have me scheduled. We agreed that he would go by my house - look at the dead tree and leave an estimate. He never left an estimate. I continued to follow up asking for the estimate. On Friday the 25th I called Joey and she said she left a message for David - someone would get back to me. At 6:00 I called David asking about the estimate. He said he would get it to me by the morning, he just had to go through his paperwork. In the morning I saw someone walking around my backyard. He had never gone by my house. He then provided a quote double what another contractor provided. I've decided to go with another contractor.

I purchased the $223 for $400 worth of tree service deal. I had not hired them before so I decided to give them a small job to do and see how it went, before trusting them with a much larger job I had waiting at another property. While the price was right, I would not use them again. I purchased the deal on Oct. 1 and contacted them that day with the details of the job. They responded Oct 2 with and provided a date of Oct 10th to do the job. That day came and went with nobody showing up and no contact from the company. To be fair it rained that day and I would not have expected them to do tree work in the rain, but some contact would have been appropriate. When I hadn't been contacted a week later, I sent a message asking for an update. No response. I sent another message on Oct 21, no response, so I called on Oct 22... went to voice mail and I left a message to call me back. No response. I called again on Oct 23... voicemail. The call never was returned but I did receive an email message on Oct 23 stating that I would hear something shortly. The next thing I heard was another email on Oct 24 stating the work had been completed. So in summary the price was ok and the work once completed was done correctly, but one of the reasons I use Angie's list is to try to avoid aggravations with arranging service, and this process consumed far too much of my time for such a simple job.

He's terrific. Arrived when I expected him. Was happy to do the work I needed done. Very careful around other plants and irrigation.

First time using this company. David, the owner of the company came out and did exactly what was promised for a fair price. He communicated well (hard to find these days) and showed up when promised. All work was done to my satisfaction. I WILL be calling David first thing when any tree or stump work is needed. No doubt.

Making appointment was easy. Provider called to advise they were running a bit late and got right to work when they got arrived. They finished grinding 3 large stumps - trees had been cut 3+ years ago - in less than 2 hours. Excellent overall, would use and recommend them without reservation.

All work was performed as promised, ahead of schedule, and in a professional manner. I will definitely use them in the future as the need arises.

Work was performed in a timely, professional manner. I was able to choose how much or how little was removed from the trees. They cleaned up everything before they left.

David came out right on time and gave me an estimate for the work. He told me two men and a bucket truck for the day. I was impressed by how knowledgeable he was about trees and plants and agreed to his price. He told me that he wanted someone there to specify exactly what was to be cut, as he could tell that I was very particular. On the appointed day, he arrived with a crew of 3 and himself. My husband was there to guide them. A very courteous person called from his office to say that they would be a little late. Amazing to get such a call these days. His entire crew was very careful with a special attention to detail. As limbs were removed they were never carelessly thrown to the ground. We have a lot of ornamentals and annuals planted under the trees and I don't think that they harmed one plant! They were professional, highly skilled, and very eager to do the job right. Nothing ever felt hurried, right down to the meticulous site clean up. Highly recommended for honesty, knowledge, performance and value!

Work was done promptly and professionally. No damage was done to our property or the neighbors. All areas were left clean and raked. All debris was removed from the property. All employees were knowledgeable and professional. We would definitely use them again.
