The best experience I've ever had with a contractor. They were courteous, communicated well, very neat on the job site and perhaps most importantly they were extremely safe in performing dangerous work. If anything, they did more than was discussed in the estimate phase of the job.

the work was done when i was not home. When I returned I noticed the ground had been stirred up. The roots were all gone and the work was done as I had requested

They did a great job. The surrounding trees encased our home in shade that promoted the growth of moss, encouraged squirrels to nest near the house, and blocked the sun. VA contracting came in and cleaned things up. They arrived on time, took down branches without damaging any surrounding ground cover, and cleaned up nicely afterwards.

They were professional & courteous. Estimate for service was way more than expected, but no complaints about the company.

These guys did the job right, did the job well, and did the job on time. The estimate occurred in a timely fashion and the work was performed less than a week after agreeing to the estimate, despite the fact that this is a really busy time of year for tree service. The job was completed in the space of one afternoon. Couldn't be happier with the service. Clear communication, no surprises, very professional.

David spent a good amount of time looking at our trees and making recommendations. I felt like he really knew his stuff and had good advice. He and his team worked hard for two days in our yard. They did a great job, and the yard looks really good. I have peace of mind with some dangerous trees and limbs out of the way. I would definitely use them again and recommend to my friends.

Very prompt service. On time and contacted me immediately the one time he was late. Quick turnaround time. Very professional and work promised was done and then some. Made good recommendations and consultation. Very satisfied and recommend strongly.

There were just extra costs involved. I found someone else to do the job.

David and his team were punctual and professional. They worked hard and efficiently. I met with David earlier this year to get an idea of what we could do to clear out my backyard and he was incredibly knowledgable and helpful with giving ideas on how to make the most of our space. He spent a good amount of time answering questions and making suggestions and I never felt like he was being anything but honest with his ideas and his cost estimate. You can tell David cares about quality and he definitely went above and beyond with this job. The team took out extra trees at no extra cost that we hadn't originally included in the estimate because the trees were clearly dying and unsafe. I am so excited about the beautiful new space!! I definitely plan to use va contracting in the future for tree work and possibly fencing and am recommending to all my friends.

Owner David Munoz and his crew did an excellent job for us. Great price and good work from professionals, we will definitely hire them again.

Went great, the owner came out initially to assess the job, then returned at a time that we both agreed on, and took out the stump. They were obviously very experienced, very careful and thorough in their work. Went abve and beyond what I expected. Great job.

David was recommended by a friend who found him on Angie's List. He is very easy to get in touch with and came out quickly to give an estimate. He urged us to be conservative in our approach and did not try to "sell us" more of anything. His estimate was extremely reasonable - many trees taken down for the price I've seen quoted for two or even one! The day on which the work was done (today) David and his crew were prompt and got thorough information from us, confirming what we wanted done. The equipment and crew were very professional and able to handle the task. (We've worked with people who weren't - believe me, that is not something you want to try, however "inexpensive" it might seem.) At the end of the day, they waited to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. Our property looks so much better with the dead, dying, and leaning trees removed - just cleaner and better tended. I would recommend VA Contracting without reservation to anyone needing tree work. (They also do landscaping.)

They did everything asked and cleaned up after. I was pleased with them.

They did an awesome job. They did quality work. They quoted me the price and they did a little extra beyond that so I would recommend them. They cleaned up all trash and they double checked with me on some of the larger shrubs before they cut them down, which I thought was an outstanding job.

David and his crew arrived on time, worked hard all day and the work performed was as described and met my expectations. David is easy to work with and is concerned about meeting expectations. His crew did a great job keeping the area safe while they worked on very tall trees and trees close to the house. They cleaned up after themselves and took the time to pile the wood we wanted to keep where we asked them to. I would highly recommend David and his company for any of your tree removal needs and will use him again if the need arises.

My wife and I got quotes from several companies to have the tree removed, and VA Contracting was, by far, the best price. The tree was right on our property line, so we had to get it down in order to put up a fence in the backyard. When David came out to give us the quote, he told us he could come out on a week's notice to cut it down. A couple weeks later, we had the fence company lined up to come out, so we called David on Monday and they came out on Friday. They were just getting set up when I was coming home from night shift at around 6:00am, and by the time I woke up around 2:00pm, they had taken the tree down, ground the stump, cleaned up and left. We decided to have them leave the pile of stump grindings because the price for removing them (an additional $500) seemed too expensive. Although, after dealing with it ourselves, we realized the price actually makes a lot of sense. I'm definitely satisfied with my decision to hire VA Contracting - David was very nice, and true to his word. If I ever need tree service again, I'll definitely be giving David a call.

Project didn't start - didn't hit the originally agreed upon start date and impossible to reschedule with current schedule. Further to this, a lot has grown in since initial consultation and would make extremely difficult to do a thorough job on cleanup.

I used this company last year, and David was terrific. His men did a great job, and he did more than was initially agreed to. Their work was good and so was clean-up. I just couldn't get him to schedule this time, he must be very busy, but he is very good, and knows what he is doing, knows about trees and how to care for them.

They were very good. They were tied up a little because of the weather. They even took the leaves off my roof. They were thorough, and they did extra work for me.

Really an A- only because the provider never responded to a message I sent through Angie's List that some cleanup was still needed. They were here for a day and a half and were very punctual, polite, clearly interested in their work. My only concern about the price is that I thought the $1,200 quoted price included the amount I had already paid for a Big Deal but it was $1,200 PLUS the Big Deal. The owner showed me the calculations he had written on his copy of the contract but he had not written them on my copy. If he had, there would have been no misunderstanding. I don't think the price was too high, just not clearly stated.

I was supposed to hear from him within a few days, but I didn't. I then called and was told that he would get back with me. It's been 4 weeks and I still haven't heard from him. I've requested a refund.

They were very professional and on time.

I gave 3 dates with plenty of lead time. I got one feeble email, I immediately called back and left a voicemail but no call back. From other reviews this is not an isolated incident.
