They are absolutely excellent. We had a big storm out. They came in here and they were just absolutely great. They just did a wonderful job.

Overall was a good experience. There was a mixup with the day they were supposed to come originally so we had to rescedule for a few days later. Once the guys came things went smoothly. Took the trees down in sections and even took part of the fence down to drop the trees in the back yard. The stumps were ground and we were left with enough mulch to cover our flowerbeds front and back. Cleaned up great too so you didn't know they were ever there. Did a great job and were cheaper than our other estimate!

This was our second time hiring Woodchuckers to remove trees. (The first time they removed three very tall trees - one from the backyard and two from the front.) We are very pleased with their service. They are responsive - they call back promptly, show up when scheduled, answer any questions, etc. Everyone on the team is pleasant and respectful and they work well together. When they leave, you can't even tell that they have been there (except that the trees are gone) because they clean up the area so well. We would definitely use Woodchuckers again and enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking for a tree service company.

They were really good. He gave a good estimate, showed up on time and cleaned up after his work. It was a good experience and I will call him again.

crew of 6 showed up on time for appt. removed all trees and stumps in a day and a half. of 4 estimates, these guys were the lowest by about $200... the highest being 5500. great clean up afterwards. i will use again.

I have about 3/4 acre behind my house which is mostly trees, although it is in a subdivision. The trees had grown so tall there is little sun getting the back of the house to dry out the ground and wooden window frames and deck. Also I wanted to expand the grassy area behind the house. I decided to start by taking down 5 trees. I talked to two tree service companies, including Woodchuckers from Angie's list. In fact, wanting to read reviews for this service was probably the main reason I joined Angie's List. A rep, I think his name was Devon, called me right back and visited in the next day or two when in the area to look at what I wanted to do. There were 2 pine trees about 90 feet tall and 3 large and spreading oaks, one of which had grown a large limb over top of the north end of my house. It seemed a pretty tall order to me but he didn't bat an eye and gave me an estimate on the spot. He can size up things pretty quickly as the amount of time it took his crew was just a bit longer than what he estimated. His price was $500 less than the other estimate, so I asked again,"You'll carry out all the wood?" and he assured me they would. I said there was no rush and he said they had a few other jobs and would it matter if it was done 3 or 4 weeks away, which was fine. The crew started showing up a few minutes ahead of time and meeting in the street, cul-de-sac. I was a little surprised when Devon left after showing the crew of 5 what was to be done, however, the crew picked right up and didn't miss a thing. They were extremely competent and diligent, have obviously worked with each other a lot and came to work. They brought great equipment and vehicles, from a 60-70 foot bucket truck to a loader and a stump grinder, and extremely powerful chipper shredder. They fell the oak trees in the right direction, away from the house and the neighbor's property, including the use of a wedge on one of them. They took the bucket up and took off the top 10-15 feet of the tall pine trees, then felled them away from everything. They didn't saw the trunks into fireplace sized pieces, rather into about 8 foot long pieces of tree trunk and loaded them on their truck to take to a mill. Branches up to about 6 inches were fed into the powerful chipper which shred them and fired and spread them around the wooded area behind my house. So in that process they were able to get through the 5 large trees from about 8 a.m. to 1:30 or 2:00 p.m. They were careful to use their blower to get rid of any debris on the driveway or the lawn. They picked up everything and made it as neat as possible. The stumps were ground way down as promised and there is no remnant of them except for a good mound of fine mulch from each stump, which I've raked into a bigger pile and can use around bushes come spring time. They even used large plywood boards to lay on the back yard grass to back the tires of the bucket truck onto to minimize any damage or ruts on the grass. I'd highly recommend Woodchuckers and come next time I need some work done they will be the ones I call.

The company's representatives showed up within a day after my initial call for an estimate. Lee took his time to inspect the yard and explained exactly how they would go about cutting down the trees. On the day of service the crew showed up on time, quickly got to work and were very professional. This job was performed in the fall and I had not cleaned up my leaves yet. The crew even went as far as to blow the leaves off my entire driveway including each set of stairs leading into the house. Without a doubt I would most certainly do business with this company again.

The crew arrived precisely at their scheduled time of 7:30 am. They were professional all the way. They maneuvered a large bucket truck to remove a large tree that was leaning towards my neighbor's house. I appreciated that they brought plywood sheets to lay on the ground to prevent the truck damaging the yard. Every bit of debris was cleaned up and I would definitely use them again.

Woodchuckers Tree Service cut down a large oak tree that was near my front door. They were on time, hard working, polite, and very efficient. This company did outstanding work for a reasonable price.

Have been referring Woodchuckers to my real estate clients for years (all have been very pleased with their services). I also used them for my personal residence to take down a leaning tree prior to a hurricane moving in. They arrived when promised, performed excellent service quickly and left the area clean. Very reasonable price, professional and great to work with!

We were VERY pleased with WoodChuckers' work at our house. They were very tidy (bet you don't see that word very often!) and were careful to not damage our other trees, shrubs and flowers. We definitely will use them in the future when we decide to remove/trim other trees. Additionally, WoodChuckers removed several trees at my daughters house a couple of weeks later. They took down a HUGE tree in her back yard, removed several more large trees in the front and back and limbed-up additional trees. She, too, was very pleased with their work. And finally, all of their workers were friendly and nice to have around for the time they were at both houses.

Overall, it was a good experience... they trimmed the tree to minimize damaging surrounding trees and topped it such that it fell completely within the desired drop area. Their haul away of the wood, grinding of the stump, and clean-up of the debris was great. My only negative comment is their slow response to phone inquiries.

The tree removal went great. The owner was so easy to get a hold of and he always called back quickly. I was able to schedule the service within a few days and they didn't overcharge at all. The crew was here on time and even performed the service in the rain after I told them it could wait. They did the job very quickly and for a great price. They also did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves and even made sure my neighbors knew that we would be doing the work. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for any tree removal in the future.

Called prior to arrival to let us know they were going to be a little later than expected. Quickly got to work after arrival. Trimmed trees as expected. Mulched trimmings and left them as we requested. Would definitely hire them again in the future.

I used Woodchuckers previously for tree removal, was happy with their service, and so I called them back for additional work. I am again totally satisfied with the work done and the price quoted. (I had two contractors drive by and offer quotes, Woodchuckers was slightly lower than the other two, but I didn't actively solicit quotes.) I had several very, very large overgrown evergreen bushes that were crowding a walkway and attracting pests. They removed them all and ground the stumps, and trimmed the remaining holly trees. They cleaned up after the work was done, and hauled off all the debris. Will definitely continue using their services!

I found this company on Angieslist, they had excellent reviews, so I called them for an estimate on trimming a number of trees and shrubs in my yard. They did excellent work, everything looked great and the clean-up was excellent as well.

I lost a 50 foot tree from a root ball of 5 other trunks. One was leaning toward my house. With a storm moving in, Devin made sure his men were here that afternoon to top out the remaining trunks. Woodchuckers came back after the storms and finished the job.

Devon, with Woodchuckers, responded quickly to my emailed request for an estimate, arrived within the promised time frame. We talked about the work I wanted done & discussed some other possibilities for now or later, but he did not try to sell me on doing more than I requested. Because the weather was so volatile it was several weeks before his crew was able to get to us, but when the did, the job they did was excellent; their clean up as conscientious as their work. The total cost was as estimated: $700.00 Two things I like to mention specifically: 1. I would have liked more proactive communication from them. During the several week delay, I was never quite sure whether or not we were still on their job schedule, leading me to have to call to make sure we were. Devon always responded quickly to my call, but better communication would be helpful. 2. The day the crew came, my husband had to leave to bring me home from the hospital. He was home long enough when they arrived to make sure everyone was on the same line as to what we wanted and we got back home as they were wrapping up. They didn't need anyone hanging over them to make sure they did that excellent job OR the super great clean up. We will definitely be using Woodchuckers the next time we need some tree work done and highly recommend them to others.

Excellent professionalism from the time of me calling to request an estimate to them finishing the work... I received an estimate the same day I called and the work was done the following week on the day provided when the estimate was done. The large tree was a healthy tree that unfortunately had to go due to acorn droppings damaging our vehicles when left outside the garage. I was also concerned about the potential of someone getting injured since I figured if the falling acorns could leave an ~ 1/8" deep dent in the roof of my car then it would probably not feel good if it hit someones head... After the estimate was finished for the tree I primarily wanted removed, I requested an assessment of the other trees in our yard (we have a lot). I was given a very honest assessment and ended up having a smaller tree removed that showed signs that it was dying and was slightly leaning towards our home. The crew showed up about 1.5 hours earlier then I had expected, but that was not a big deal since I took the day off to observe the work. I wanted to observe for multiple reasons - obviously I wanted to make sure there was not any property damage which there was not in any way. Actually, they left my front yard cleaner than when they arrived. The other reason is that I love seeing and learning how things are done. My wife calls me a n*** - I prefer scientist..... I would be comfortable having Woodchuckers do any work in the future without my supervision. So all that said, there is another most important thing to state. I have worked for chemical companies throughout my career where safety is always the number one priority. There is obviously a lot of dangers to people and property when bringing down large trees, but the Woodchucker crew was utilizing all of the appropriate personal protective equipment and at no time did I feel anybody was at risk. Very impressed - good job - I recommend.

Woodchuckers were very professional in their work. They removed all the debris from the trees that were trimmed.

Devon from Woodchuckers came the same day that I called to ask for an estimate. He looked over the trees that we wanted taken down, then offered to limb up a couple others while they were there for no extra charge. He didn't hesitate to take on the removal of the fallen trees in the woods, down a slope behind the driveway. He explained that if we temporarily removed a bush at the edge of the woods, they would have access for their log hauler to get to the work area. He also mentioned that they could put the fallen stump back in its upright position. The estimate he gave was much lower than one we received from another company who didn't even want to tackle the fallen trees. I had an 8:00AM doctor's appointment the day the work was scheduled, but Devon agreed to arrive before 7:30AM so we could walk through what they would do. Right on time, he AND the five-man crew appeared, ready to start. The crew worked just as promised, taking down the trees, cleaning up everything that was on the ground in our woods, righting the stump, and blowing off the lawn and driveway before they finished. All of this was accomplished in a single day, for they didn't quit until just after 5:30PM. On top of all this, the crew members were friendly and pleasant, willing to explain their work and to answer my questions. I would hire Woodchuckers again without hesitation.

They arrived promptly in the morning and left the site in better condition than they found it. I was very impressed with how clean they left everything. My only negative comment is that I understood that they would be scheduled the week before, but it could have been a misunderstanding on my part. Once they confirmed their date (which was done the day before), they were prompt. When you include the extra limbs they cut down at no charge, the price was very competitive.
