Was given dates 6/15 - 6/19 and the work was completed by 6/17. Everything was done professionally the workers arrived by 8:30 each day and completed their days work by 5, and I am more than satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism. If I had any questions they were addressed within a reasonable amount of time. I received my quote for the work by email which was great I paid the first half of the payment up front on that same email, and when the work was complete I received an email and the remainder of the total cost was transacted on that email. I would recommend them highly!

This is the third time I've hired Trogdon Enterprises to perform work for our company. As always they go above and beyond with their service. Jay always makes good recommendations that will benefit US and educates us on our home remodeling projects. We have projects in the future that we're planning and Trogdon Enterprises will be the only company we call!

Jay and team were great! Professional, responsive and did a great job! Jay answered all my questions, was patient with ALL of my requests and the cabinets turned out great!

Painted a master bathroom and a bedroom upstairs. Painting was good as my wife is scheduling them to do more painting. I would like to have had better direction on what kind of paint to use, a better consultation. Big Deal purchase for $247.00

They were sloppy. They painted my windows shut. When I told them that the windows needed to be reopened they ruined 7 windows. I had to have them replaced. I sent Jay Trogdon a certified letter that he left sitting in his post office box for 3 weeks. He never contacted me. I had to track him down using a different phone number than what he had for me. Ignoring my calls. He said that he didn't remember me and basically he wasn't going to fix or reimburse me. I wouldn't use his company again even if he was the Only company.

I would hire this company again. They were professional, on time, went beyond what I expected. They were professional and did a really GREAT JOB!!! I am VERY pleased with their work and I would recommend them to anyone.

First painter was very nice but obviously not real experienced. The owner and son came back a re-painted which was a much better job but didn't put down drop cloths everywhere and there was a lot of paint to clean up as well as a ruined lamp shade.

The process was quick with minimal disturbance to our kitchen. They were very nicely painted and look great. I would have preferred to be able to consult with the painter in advance, discuss the level of gloss in the paint, etc. For me it is strange to purchase something so valuable never having met the contractor before. Our email communication could have been a little more complete, and including even a stock summary of the process ( where the doors are painted, how many hours it usually takes on site, what we need to do to prepare the kitchen for you) would be really helpful to have. But in the end the work looks very good and has really transformed the kitchen. I'm very glad we did it.

Jay was fantastic to work with! I requested a quote for painting kitchen cabinets. He scheduled a time to meet me at my home and provided a quote on the spot. The described his process and answered all of my questions. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other quotes I had gotten, and his reviews were good, so I went ahead with scheduling the work. The day work was to begin, Jay showed up at the designated time. He and his co-worker got right to work removing the cabinet doors and prepping them. The kitchen boxes were taped off for spray painting. The doors were taken back to a shop for spray painting. Jay communicated with me throughout the week to let me know how work was progressing. Prior to the final day, I asked Jay if he would be able to repaint the walls, since I hated the color I picked. He said it wouldn't be a problem, and didn't charge me full price for the new paint job. Within 6 business days the job was complete - all cabinet doors were reinstalled and walls were painted. Everything was cleaned up. The cabinets look gorgeous!

Jay Trogdon came to my house and gave me an estimate for painting the first floor of my home and painting all the stained wood trim, baseboards and windows. This work took several weeks. Work was started with one painter starting on the ceilings and walls later another painter came in to work on the stained trim and windows. The first painter did not do any prep work. I had tried to patch some small nail holes and used a feather duster in the corners. This painter did not patch a seam above an interior door opening and painted over some dust that was too high for me to reach. He did not patch 2 outward corners; 1 where corner trim had been removed and the other where there had been some damage. He got paint on the carpeting and tile floors but didn't clean it. He got gray paint on the white ceiling and tried to tell me that was already there. The next painter who worked on the stained wood baseboards, doorway trim and stained wood windows did not caulk the corners of the baseboards leaving gaps. He did a terrible job on painting the windows. The middle of the sashes (faces inward when window is open) were not painted. After I pointed this out he sprayed primer on them leaving long drips. He also got this spray paint on my window screens. Seven windows were painted shut. I said that they all had to be able to open and close. I offered him a putty knife to use but he declined, stating that he had a tool which turned out to be some kind of pocket knife/multi tool that damage everyone of the 7 windows tops and bottoms. Ruining the wood! The windows were so damaged that my spouse and I ended up having to replace them less than two months later. While all of this work was going on I had been moving elderly parents from out of state to Richmond. Then one of them became ill and eventually dying less than 4 months later. The other having Alzheimers moving in with me. Due to taking care of these parents and the death. I did not try to contact Jay Trogdon until October. I sent a certified letter with photos to his post office box listed on Angie's List. Several weeks went by before he picked up this letter. I then telephoned him and he said that he would come look at the work. He never showed and now I am leaving his review January 10, 2017. I can not understand how Trogdon Enterprises can have any positive reviews with this kind of work! Please check out the photos I have included.

We purchased a deal on Angie’s List that was $249 for an interior painter for a day. Scheduling was a couple months out but we knew that going into it. Rahim arrived on time and was very friendly. He painted our nursery (walls plus ceiling) as well as the ceiling for our guest bathroom. He was done earlier than he said it would take. He said it was because I bought really good paint (Behr Marquee) and it only required one coat. When I checked the work it looked pretty good. There were some areas that hadn’t blended together yet but I figured since he just finished the paint was still drying. When we looked the next morning nothing had changed. Everywhere he had cut in (about two to three inches near the ceiling, baseboards, and around trim) was a completely different shade and the color was not seamless like it should be. On our accent wall there was also a small area that had streaks. I sent an email to Jay, the owner of Trogdon Enterprises, along with pictures and he called me less than a couple hours later. After talking with him and explaining the problem he said he could send someone out first thing next morning to fix the problems we had. Rahim came back and was really nice about everything and once he looked at the room he said the paint just didn't cover the way it should have. Partly due to being eggshell finish and partly because it was a very light paint color. He cut in two more times and rolled the walls one more time and by the time he left we were more than confident that everything would turn out as we originally expected. The room now looks exactly how we wanted. I really appreciate Trogdon working with us and sending someone back out to make sure the work was done right and we were satisfied.

Overall this experience went well. I may not have read thoroughly, but apparently this deal was for interior or exterior painting, but only to a maximum height of 8'. When the painter arrived, he arrived without a ladder and explained that wasn't supposed to do second story painting. He called his supervisor and we were able to work out an arrangement for him to do the second level for a small addition fee. Shortly thereafter, someone delivered a ladder and the painter completed the job. He was very kind and did a nice job. My only complaint was that they didn't use a drop cloth to catch the paint chips they were scraping. While the painter did some clean-up, there were some paint chips left behind. Overall, a good experience--especially since it was likely I who was the bonehead that didn't read carefully enough about the 8' maximum.

Company did not return my call to schedule job

Jay and his helper came out Monday morning and took all of the doors and hardware off and put a coat of primer on all of the cabinets. They took the doors to a building that Jay had built to put primer and two coats of paint on them. Wednesday and Thursday they returned and put two coats of the paint that I had selected on the cabinets and explained the process each step of the job. Friday they returned and put the doors and all hardware back up. I am very pleased with the outcome and would most definitely use them again. They were very courteous and cleaned up when they were finished.

They arrived on time and did a great job, even in the 100 degree heat! We will be using them for all our painting needs. Thanks again!

Emails to schedule services were prompt. I purchased a deal for 7 hours of painting and that's what I got. The workers for professional and painted (2 coats) the walls that I asked them too. I was very pleased with the results.
