We were told it would take a month to renovate our bathrooms but in the end it took almost 3 months. A red flag to us should have been when they asked if we really wanted/needed a building permit. I don't know if its different now , but wIth the exception of the job foreman all the work was sub'd out. They did not directly employ any the contactors they used. The plumber was horrible and was one of the main reasons our job ran over the time we were given. He was never there on a Friday or a Monday (unless it was raining) and when he did show up the rest of the week he was late (around 10:00) and usually left early (around 1:00 or 2:00). Many, many times we had to call the job foreman to find out where the plumber was. The plumbing in our job was not complicated or difficult and whatever you do, insist for a building permit!!! Without the county inspector heaven only knows what would have been done (or not). The county failed the plumbing for our job not once, but TWICE !! The second failure was for something the inspector had warned the plumber he'd neglected to do. Guess what? It only took him 3 days total to fix it all but took him over 2 months to do the initial install. The drywall contractor was not reliable either. They came out to do the initial work and when it couldn't be completed in one day, it was like pulling hen's teeth to get them to come back. The only real bright spot was someone we call the 'tile guy'. He was great. Always on time and very conscientious about his work. Two of the people we were working directly with in the office left part the way through our job which made us concerned about what was going on with Stuart Components. Oh..an one more thing. Keep very good records as to what you've paid for, what allowances you didn't use and which ones you didn't use the whole amount. We went elsewhere for some products and paid for them up front. After it was all said and done and we received the bill, they billed us for the sum total of all the allowances, even the ones we didn't' use or only used part of. This is a good example of the old adage 'you get what you pay for'.

We were very upset that Stuart Components took almost a year to remodel our bathroom. The final product was not too bad, but they way overcharged us. They kept it very messy while they were completing the work and totally inconveniencing us.
Description of Work: Stuart's remodeled our bathroom. They gutted our bathroom and rebuilt it. Their work included a new shower, tiles, new sink fixtures, and moving the toilet.
