+ -1 moreI have one question for myself. What took me so long?! Amerigas is night to Southern States' day. The company furnished a brand new tank (replacing the second hand rusted ones belonging to Amerigas). They charge me much less and are always friendly and helpful when I call them. For my first year I am on will-call (new furnace). When I call for a delivery they come out within a day or two. I am extremely pleased with Southern States' service.
Description of Work: After dealing with Amerigas for years, with horribly unsatisfactory results, I switched to Southern States in autumn 2013 for my propane delivery.

+ -1 moreCame out and inspected for mice/pests and termites. Discovered termite tracks up the garage walls--they hadn't reached the wood yet (at least we don't think so). Left poison for known mice problem--no signs of them since. Scheduled a return date to treat the termites by drilling holes in the concrete in the garage. Came as promised while we were gone and left the place as it was found. About $480 of the charge was for the termite treatment--the rest for the one-year contract.
Description of Work: Set out poison for mice in crawl space. Inspected for termites. Treated for termites in the garage by drilling holes in cement & putting in poison. 1-year contract for pest and termite control.

+ -1 moreWe've had a contract with them since we've owned our house, so what we're paying is a fair amount of money. They bill us 6x a year. They seem to be very thorough and I do think it's a good value for the price. So if there's a little problem, they're very responsive.
Description of Work: I'm currently using Southern States for pest control services. We actually have an ongoing contract with them.
