Portable generator would not start. The company quickly picked up the generator; however, it took two weeks for them to begin the repair. When the work was completed--cleaning the carburetor, the person who called thoroughly explained all the work that was needed. More importantly, he explained how to avoid the problem in the future. The generator was returned in good order and ready for the next power outage!

Engine was damaged and not worth repairing. Gave them the riding mower.

The whole transaction was very smooth. They arranged to have my mower picked up and within a day they had diagnosed and repaired the faulty starter motor. It was returned two days from when they picked it up. Total cost was about $200, which included the cost of the pick and delivery. I thought it was going to cost much more and take longer, so overall I'm very pleased.

After my mower made an unusual sound that I thought was an engine problem, I stopped at two other service providers first because they are closer to my home. The first said it would be four weeks before they could look at my mower. The second was in the middle of relocating their business, would not be open for several days, and had a wait of two weeks. At Knabe, they had a wait of two weeks, but offered to take a quick look and immediately diagnosed a loose blade, something I could have discovered easily enough but never thought to look for. They said there was no charge and I was on my way in less than five minutes, with the tech's thoughts on why my engine sounded a little rough to him. I'll probably take my mower in at the end of the season and have him tune it up, but for now, I won't need to borrow my neighbor's mower again.

I have used Knabe to service all my law equipment. The latest was an 18 year old Lawn Boy push mower. It was smoking and not running well. Knabe gave it a full tune up and it runs great now. (about $65). I have another lawn boy push mower about 10 years old Knabe did a tune up and that machine runs great now (about $65). It took them about a week to get the mowers done. They also tuned up and replaced the fuel line and primer bulb on my Echo weed eater. Tuned up my echo back pack blower. All work is done well. No problems with anything. During the busy times of the year it might be 1 - 2 weeks from drop off to pick up. The shop is busy, but they have excellent techs, good customer service and can order parts you need. I have also taken my John Deere ridding mower to them for a tune up and belt replacement. Much cheaper than going to the John Deere Dealer!

It went great. They had the mower back to us the next day.

Knabe did an excellent job in repairing my leaf vac, friendly service, resonable price and quick turn around, as a result they are now giving my lawn mower a spring prep service. I will be a repeat customer and highly recommend Knabe

I called for pickup as my mower belt came off many times. I wanted it looked at to try and resolve this problem. The deck did vibrate too. I was going on a trip for 5 days and had ask if they could pick-up on the 24th.(the day I left) They indicated that would be fine as the pick-up driver worked on Tues. I was hoping to have the tractor finished at least by the 2nd. I called Knabe on the 26th to get the status (estimate etc) as I didn't hear from them on my cell as we previously discussed. The gentleman on the tel. indicated didn"t get to it yet. Very busy. running a few days behind. I was fine with that.. I called on the 31st, was told it would be another week before they could get to it. I was never told upfront that they would take 2-3-weeks to look at the mower deck. The gentleman today told me I should have asked how long it would take.. I told him it was very poor cust serv. Please return the tractor today. He indicated he would return the tractor and charge me $32.50. (half the pick-up and delivery chg.) If I wanted it returned I had no choice but to pay. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY

I took the chance and called them to pick up and fix the machine. They picked it up promptly and quickly did the work. The machine was returned to me as and when promised and works great. The whole job, including pick up and delivery charges cost less than some other shops quoted me just to pick up and deliver the machine. I highly recommend them.
