"Thank you so much for entrusting us (twice!) with your Kitchen Renovations."
"Thank you very much for your review. We are glad to hear that you love your new kitchen, and we appreciate your complimenting our crew, electricians and granite company. We will forward your review to them as well. And we look forward to working with you on your Bath Remodel!"
Overall they did a great job and we love our new kitchen!
We originally chose Kitchen Doctors because of the excellent pre-sales customer service and their competitive pricing. But once the process began a few red flags started to appear, primarily in terms of their communication with us.
For example:
- We only found out how much the counter tops were going to cost, the day after they were installed. Thankfully it wasn't too much more than we were expecting, but we would have liked to have known before in case we wanted to change our minds based on cost.
- Near the end, the project manager and I created a punch list of items left to be completed. All the other sub-contractors that I had direct contact with showed up as scheduled after the flooring was complete but Kitchen Doctors didn't. I reached out to them for a week and half before receiving a response saying they'd be back out in week to finish up. I was only a little annoyed at the delay, but the lack of communication to manage my expectations or explain why they didn't show up as arranged was what was most annoying.
Some of the delays were not their fault and they've been friendly and hard working whenever they show up, but at each pause point, I've had to reach out to them repeatedly over weeks to get some response and to arrange for them to come back out and finish their work.
As it stands now, they have some repair work to finish due to faulty materials and I've reached out to the once a week for the past 3 weeks with no indication from them as to when the work will be finished.
From start to finish, we "loved the process" as well as the new kitchen. Laura was a total delight to work with- friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, etc. Jim was terrific- flexible, accommodating with a positive attitude. His staff praised him highly when he was not on the site. I overheard him teaching his staff and providing guidance in a very supportive manner.Likewise, his staff was efficient , friendly and did a great job! Their price was very reasonable.
Laura says they want their customers to "Love their Kitchen". Well we do but also loved the entire process- the first positive remodel we have ever experienced.
