Here is my Home Depot - Romanoff shower replacement experience: HD insists all homeowners be present. This is simply to avoid an absent spouse from wanting out. Two, they offer discount signing bonus if signed that day. This is to avoid competition. Three, HD insists on 100% payment upfront (California max is 10%) leaving the customer with no leverage! Up to 6 feet of subfloor replacement was to be included and verified by phone call. I regret initiating installation. The newly installed shower panels were up to an inch and a quarter apart and the caulk would flake off to the touch. Panels were poorly cut and bowed. There was wall damage. They claimed subfloor replacement was not needed but was given NO compensation whatsoever! Ever have a oil and filter change and pay for a new motor? Responses from HD and their website relentlessly trumpets how "professionally qualified and rigorously screened" their workers are. There is a tsunami of HD poor reviews and paucity of good reviews on the internet (Angie's List, BBB, Trulia, NOT HD website) so I thought I would need someone else fix it and possible go to court. I had to pay to get the testimony of a plumber who has done this type of work and take pictures and videos. To the subcontractors credit they offered to fix it and I genuinely appreciate that. The contract was signed 4/4 and final inspection was 7/19. The removal of a fiberglass and installation of an acrylic shower should not take 15 weeks and cost $7880 dollars, a price FAR above estimates from Home Advisor, Cost Helper, Fixr and Angie's List.

We had problems with delivery. I would walk into home depot again because they have the brands they want but I am not happy because they are using a third party who sent a bad product, didn't install it correctly and were late. When I called they were sincere in getting it fixed. The problem is they hire subcontractors and that company was horrible. They came for delivery and didn't even ring the doorbell and left. We had to wait another week for delivery. The people that work for Home Depot in Atlanta that makes the decisions and hires the 2nd party need fired. If I used them again I would rent a Uhaul and go get the things.

They contracted out to someone to do the work.

We used them for a lot. We bought the Thomasville for the cabinets. They were excellent on that. Thomasville was just fabulous. I had a contractor install the cabinets. The Home Depot had a designer there that we worked with. She did the drawing up and she measure everything. We designed the cabinets for the Thomasville folks to build. For no cost, they had a kitchen designer design the cabinets. I told the designer, we are going to hold off on the purchase and I am going to buy these things but I want you to tell me when these things go on sale. She kept her eye out, and I got this call and she said “we are running a sale on the countertops and a sale on the Thomasville and there are two days where they are going to cross” so in those two days I bought everything. Unbelievable price. Thomasville is a great brand. They delivered it right when they said they were going to. The designer is phenomenal. She is not with them anymore she went on with a more expensive company. The Home Depot did us right.

They did no installation. They talked me into the Adora line and the price seemed reasonable. We did all the installation because we had a contractor. All the GE appliances quit. We picked up the appliances and did the installation ourselves. We would not use them for the GE appliances.

The sales person in the windows and flooring department was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond the call of duty. She listened and understood what I was looking for, searched patiently in catalogs and on websites and located a very good match for what I wanted. I wanted a somewhat unusual look (a greyish tint wood shade) at a reasonable price, no easy feat! She found several options, gave me quotes on all and let me borrow the sample book. After a couple of days when I had a chance to consult with my kids I came back and place the order. She was able to offer a discount, it was altogether as if a good friend or relative was helping me. After the blinds arrived I had some trouble with installation and returned to the store. My sales lady was there, contacted Bali and got me the information.

There were a lot of delays getting the work done which I understand. I would use them again if needed.

They're pretty organized for a hardware store.

Used them for Carpet install. Very pleased with them, very price competitive, installers did a fine job.

Their prices are very comparative to others in the neighborhood. I was making a price comparison with other contractors and found out that the Home Depot is the best. Very nice people (customer service).

Nobody came out because we decided that was too much money to spend. They quoted us for $7056. We took the diagrams in for the counter tops and measurements like they told us to do. They gave us an estimate based on the drawings. They were helpful.

They did a nice job. They were very professional and I would use them again.

I went to the flooring department to get that arranged. I'm going to buy some of my products from them but I will not use their services for the laying of the tile and design. It was just that screwed up. It took all the way up to a general manager of the store to get involved to get it somewhat sorted out. That's how screwed up it got. I was just trying to get things arranged to do the job. I didn't even get to the point of doing the job. Now I'm having to find another operation to do the tile laying, to give me a bid on the tile laying, which set me back for a week because you have to get somebody in here and all that stuff. I burnt two weeks of my time up screwing with their flooring department and never got anything out of it.

They basically have everything that I need. I consider it a one-stop shop and the price is also reasonable for me.

I think they are helpful and will being going to them again in the future.

I would recommend them. I usually spend $30-$50. They do a good job. Sometimes it is hard to find somebody to help me in the aisles. They are professional.

Everything was fine. I had a little issue with some measurements which was confusing, but that may have been my contractor's fault. When we had all the cabinets lined up against the wall and we had the overall measurement of the length, they were 3 inches shorter than the overall length. It did not cause a big problem but it was a little bit of irritation. The person we dealt with was very good because we were trying to do everything we could to cut down the costs. He made all kinds of suggestions and he even told us to place the order the following week as they were having a special sale. They were very good and helpful and I would certainly recommend them.

We weren’t happy with the way we were treated. They came out when they said they would to give an estimate. They were very professional too. However, they just disappeared and didn’t give us any reason why. They never told us why and never gave us any time to answer anything on it. They just came out and looked, but did not do anything. We never got an estimate and they didn’t sell us anything. We were waiting for them to look at the roof and tell us what needed to be done because we didn’t know anything. We also had to return the automatic air conditioners that we had bought as they weren’t functioning properly. We had a Home Depot credit card with us. Instead of them putting the revalue back in the credit card the only thing that they would offer us was a gift card. We still have to pay that. They gave us a gift card in lieu of the amount paid. They have the air conditioners with them, and we are paying for the air conditioners that we don’t have. They gave us a gift card to use in their store. We are very, very disappointed with them especially since we used their own Home Depot credit card. It would’ve been different if I was some other customer. They have not done well at all. I am very sorry that we even went there. We would not use them again based on the experiences that we have had.

All work was done professionally and on time. I was pleased with all of the sub-contractors. The plumber returned to adjust the faucet promptly.

I was very pleased with the job they did. The countertop looks real nice and they measured it just right. The store was very helpful in picking it out. They were professional, courteous and the price was right.

Home Depot was very skilled in the installation of the new door. They installed it in record time. The clean up was minor because the mess was minor. The door really adds a touch of class to our home.

We have had great service with this place. This was definitely the place to go for home improvements. They were willing to help me because they wanted my business and they treated me with respect. They were very responsive to my needs and they knew how to get things done properly. They also guarantee their work no questions asked.

What a crew Home Depot had. They didn t waste any time setting up and making preparations for the big job. They were very careful in the moving of all of our really heavy furniture in which we agreed on a moving crew with the installers. They were polite and very respectful. They were very tidy and they did a wonderful job.

Home Depot did an awesome job. They spent a lot of hard work and dedication to our home. They made me feel like my home was so important to them. When they left, you could see the dedication for the job that was completed.

Home Depot provided professional, friendly, courteous and customer satisfaction service. They did a great job on my floors. They did the work in a reasonable amount of time and I was satisfied with them.
