I had scheduling problems. I told him the hours that I couldn't be scheduled and that was the time he did scheduled. The washer was outside and he assumed that I wanted him to move it. He said that he wasn't moving it. I didn't ask him to. He needed an additional things that required additional costs, which I was not interested in rescheduling with him. I was able to buy the part at the half the price, and we are in the process of getting it completed.

I called Home Appliance on Monday morning, and was contacted by the technician within a couple of hours by phone. I described the issue (this company was the first that said they could repair a Whirlpool Cabrio washer) and the technician came that afternoon. He described the problem causing the water leak (defective valve) and also told me that the noise coming from the tub while spinning indicated that sooner or later the outer tub and rotor bearing would need to be replaced. He had determined by our phone conversation that the water valve was the culprit, even before coming to give me an estimate. He placed a hold on the one remaining valve through his supplier before the visit! Although he did not push for doing the tub and bearing at the same time as replacing the water valve, I decided to go ahead with that repair as well, since doing them in the same visit would save over $250 compared to doing the repair on two occasions. The repair was accomplished without difficulty on Tuesday, at the agreed price. The machine sounds better than it did when it was new. I will use Home Appliance for any repair needs in the future. I strongly recommend this company to Angie's List members.

Chris came out. He was efficient, on time and explained everything. We needed some parts ordered from Maryland. He came out on Friday. The parts arrived and he came and fixed it the following Tuesday. It worked perfectly. The price was reasonable, for the amount of time. He made two trips here. I would use him in the future, no question.

This is the first time we have used Home Appliance and their performance was outstanding. I contacted them because we were having recurring problems with our 15 year old refrigerator. For a variety of reasons, and mostly due to the fact we couldn't find anything that matched our kitchen set exactly, we were trying to repair it rather than replace. After several attempts by our regular repairman, including a new compressor, we still had no luck. Before assigning the refrigerator to the junk heap and buying a new one I looked for new service providers on Angie's List and found Home Appliance at the top of the list. I called, explained the problems and history, and over the phone I was given a procedure to try at home. to assess the problem. Based on the results we scheduled a visit and ordered a part. When the serviceman arrived he quickly determined that even the new part would not fix the problem. He offered one other solution, but recommended against it because of the age of the refrigerator and the fact that they could not guarantee that it would fix the problem. For all of their time and effort the only bill to me was $80 for a service call. They were able to return the part they ordered so there was no charge for it. The Home Appliance staff was very responsive, exceptionally friendly and the most professional we have ever dealt with. Highly, highly recommended!!!!!

This was my first time using this company. Chris, the technician, schedules his own appointments so when I spoke with him he asked me what the problem was. He listened and was able to troubleshoot over the phone. When he arrived he had the part that was likely the problem so I would not have to pay for a second visit or wait for the part to come in. Chris was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. After a hands-on evaluation of the problem, he explained what the problem was, what was needed to fix it, and how to prevent the same issue in the future. The Angie's List discount was offered without me having to ask and I could not have been more happy with the entire process. Next time I have an issue, I will not hesitate to call this company.

Turns out the machine needed a new transmission, which would have cost $600 & taken several weeks. The technician explained that our stackable unit was pretty much at the end of its life & fixing the transmission wouldn't necessarily guarantee that we wouldn't have any new problems in the near future. He recommended just getting a new unit all together. I was incredibly impressed that he gave up a $600 repair, because it was in our best interest. We did pay for the inspection, but that's all. I would gladly use this company again!

He did a good job. They were professional and punctual. They did the work in the time frame they aid. My wife dealt more with them and it was pretty positive.

With two kids and a fitness trainer for a wife, we thoroughly abuse our washing machines. When it goes down, bad, smelly things back up quickly. Ours just stopped working the other day. After trying to fix it myself, I quickly realized that the issue was beyond my knowledge. I checked AL and looked for someone in our area. Home Appliance Service and Repair was at the top of the list and highly rated. I soon learned why. I emailed in my issue late that night and got a call early the next morning. It's the start of warm weather here in VA and they were a little swamped with other repairs, but they said they'd call the next day with a time to visit. As promised, they called, set an appointment, and even called the night before the appointment to confirm. Charlie showed up on time the next day, instantly diagnosed the problem, and explained everything before he made a move to repair. Ends up our secondhand washer had some improved repairs before we bought it, including a hotwired/bypassed lid switch. Charlie explained the inherent dangers of the bypassed lid switch (especially since we have two kids) and said he could repair it. Unfortunately, he didn't have the parts on hand but said he would order them and call me as soon as they came in. It took a few days for the parts to come in but as soon as they arrived, he was back and repaired the washer. Very friendly, very fast (parts issue considered), and extremely transparent about the process. Would definitely use again the next time something breaks in our house.

Went great he was on time he went right to work found the problem fast and being that it was not my dryer he only charged me half his normal rate

It didn't take long for the tech to determine the problem. He had to order the part but that only took a couple of days. He contacted me within 2 business days and came the following day to replace it.

Dense smoke filled my oven whenever I attempted to use either the Convection or Broil setting. After reading the many glowing comments from Home Appliance customers, I phoned for an appointment. Chris, an amazingly competent technician, was here the next weekday and make some adjustments to the oven fan which rectified the problem. I gladly give Home Appliance a hardy recommendation. Special kudos to Chris who is an outstanding professional, cordial, and capable technician!

My dryer died at 1:00 pm. I called around 2:00 PM. Technician called back between jobs around 2:30. Came around 3:30 and had it going again by 4:30. THE BEST! MY company from now on.

I am fairly new to this area, and I had just joined Angie's List for the first time to find someone to fix my side-by-side GE refrigerator. I have had trouble with the temperatures fluctuating between the refrigerator and freezer off and on for two years. I found "Home Appliance" at the top of the repair list and liked the reviews. Home Appliance also had a 10% off coupon which I used. I had to reschedule the appointment time due to the weather, but Mark called me to keep up on the appointment and called when he said he would-very professional. My ice maker never worked right and I had solid blocks of ice, dripping water from ice cubes, ice cream and fudgesicles that thawed and refroze. I never knew what to find in my freezer. My refrigerator also had temperature swings from cold to warm to cold. Mark installed the new electronic motherboard and we could hear the fan and motor start to work in the frig. Now the ice maker is producing ice cubes in the right shape, and both the freezer and refrigerator are working as they should. What a relief! I am so happy with Mark's fast and efficient diagnosis of the problem and correcting it. He made sure that everything was working correctly before he left. Would hire him again in a minute.

I called for a technical and was told someone would call within 2 hours. I received a call in 15 min. Chris actually came early the first time, after he called to see if it was ok. He is one of the most polite technicians I have come in contact with. Explained everything he was doing very thoroughly. Ordered a part for frig on Friday and came back Monday to install. Would definitely recommend and use again if necessary.

his honest opinion was to replace the dryer and not repair it.

We have used the several times. They fixed an ice maker, our washing machine, a refrigerator and burners on our stove. All of these jobs were done very professionally by Chris.

Repaired the door on our dishwasher. This saved us from having to purchase a new door. |The technician was cordial, clever , and we referred him to another person.

On Saturday of a holiday weekend, our washer stopped working. I was able to reach Home Appliance on Saturday and set an appointment for Monday. Based on the error code, Chris knew what parts to bring and quickly made the repairs. He was very professional, efficient and punctual. I am very appreciative.

5 year old compactor had been repaired 3 times prior to this time. Once by Home Appliance, and because of that, I was given a discount. It turned out to be a very complicated repair, and they had to come to my home 3 times and had to order several parts before finally repairing it. It wasn't their fault, however, yet they charged me for only the original home visit, and only for the part that was faulty. I can't say enough good about this company!!!

They responded quickly to my call, came by and figured out they needed to order a part for a permanent fix and that would take a day. In the interim, they did a makeshift fix. Came back with the part the next day.
