H C Swoap

We contacted Mr. Swoap and he answered the phone our first attempt at contacting him. We set up a convienient time for him to come to our home and view the area we wanted finished and tell him what we wanted for the room upon completion. He took measurements and asked us questions about what we wanted in the room; he took detailed notes. About a week later, Mr. Swoap contacted us and said that he had completed a schematic and estimate for us based on the information that we gave him during his first visit. We set up a second visit to view the details and price and at that second visit, we were pleased and paid him 10% of the total price of the project as a down payment. About 2 weeks later, materials were deliviered and renovation began. We gave Mr. Swoap a key to our home and he assured us that while work was being done on the home, he would be the one to let people in and out. On several occasions, we would come home during the construction process and Mr. Swoap and his associates would be working on the house. At times they stayed until 8:30 pm trying to meet the deadline set of 2 weeks. The entire project took 2 weeks to complete and passed building inspection the first time. We are very pleased with the outcome of this project as we have changed our house to be a 3 bedroom house with an office whereas previously it was just a 3 bedroom house.

The quality issues, you would think it would be right from the beginning, I got my insurance involved in it, and I don’t know why it was such an issue from the beginning. The final product was not a good product. I expected a higher standard, the quality was off. The walls should be flat and straight, and they weren’t. November was the final correction I believe.

He did a really good job. He was very easy to deal with. He showed up on time and did good quality work. The work was done pretty quickly, in about a three-week period.

I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work. My wife and I were never inconvenienced. The workers worked during days we were not at home. They were very clean and didn't took care of my home. The price was reasonable especially considering the quality of the job. I'm considering hiring him in the future to build a garage.
