Five Star Maids

They were very late arriving and rushed through the survice. It was four girls and they spent about an hour which I don't think is enough to do a deep cleaning. The rugs were wet which I didn't really understand.

Overall, it went well. I was given a two hour window in which the team would arrive. As I had an afternoon appointment, they were on the back end of the two hour window when the team arrived. They immediately began work in the upstairs bedrooms, baths and kitchen. I was allowed to do an overall inspection of the upstairs as they began to clean the remainder of the first floor. The team did a very thorough job, everything was cleaned (including the knick knacks around the house).

They arrived at 3 even though we had an appoint at 11. They did apologize for being late, but they just 4 ladies came and they worked for 1 hour. They do have a disclaimer that warns that they might be late but 4 hours excessive. The Deal was 6 labors, so they still owe me another. I called and left a message at their office after they left but haven't heard back yet. I looked under the bed and noticed that the hardwood floor was covered in dust as well as a table in the same room.

They were very accommodating in letting me know the difference between a regular cleaning and a move out cleaning and that they were unable to do the move out cleaning. They informed me I could get a refund for the deal.

I used an Angie's List Coupon and hired Five Star Maids to clean my home. They communicated well to schedule the appointment and they did a fantastic job cleaning my home. The time they need to spend on the job before mine went way over, causing my appointment to be pushed back later than expected. However, they stayed in contact with me during the delay so I knew when to expect them. Once they arrived at my home they were courteous, very efficient and id a great job. I will call them again.

Overall they did a good job. I have dogs and they did a quality job on the floors and furniture. It was a little difficult to get someone on the phone but they arrived as scheduled and were very professional and thorough on the job. I would have liked them to sweep a bit more thoroughly under the furniture (I have hard wood floors) but that's a minor quibble. I'll use them again in the future.

I purchased a deal for $150 for 6 hrs of cleaning and there were ways that you could break it down. It went great and I decided to hire the company to come weekly to clean my home. I have a 4 bedroom home and they did an excellent job cleaning the house. I pride myself on keeping a clean home but what they were able to do is amazing. I have three children, 2 dogs, a cat and they get it really clean. What they do every week helps me to keep my sanity! Also they are very responsive and communicate well when there needs to be a change in scheduling or if they can come early or have to come late. They come every week and vaccum, make beds, dust, clean kitchen, clean bathroom. My shower has never been cleaner!

They arrived at appointed time, bring their own equipment and supplies and as stated above the results are very satisfactory. Just expensive.

nI called their main number and left a message for them to call me back, which they did the next day. I told them what size house I had and the animals that live here; I even received a senior discount . The girls (4 of them) come on time with their own equipment and started working right away on the day we arranged; two went upstairs and the other two worked downstairs. They have set a schedule to come once a month for me and have showed up on time and done a wonderful job of cleaning. They work non stop for about three hours; they do not take any breaks until all is done. I would recommend them to anyone.

they were prompt, dusted, vacuumed, swept, damp mop kitchen and baths, cleaned tub, sink, toilet, wiped down cabinet doors in kitchen. very thorough. would call on them again. she was put on bed rest right before the birth of baby, and was getting overwhelmed, at what was not getting done....did not have time to do myself, with work and all, so i did the next best thing! ;) wonderful company, you will not be mistaken.

the price for service is decent but attention to details would be appreciated. had to point out to the them were the cobwebs were collecting and they don't vaccum the stairs. has never cleaned the bathroom tiles.and three items during cleaning process were broken. employees are trustworthy to let inside your home. rarely do they show up at appointed time, but thats understood since they might be held behind in previous job. no offence to the employees but better training would help in quality of service. i've requested the same "team" to come and clean the house with the same members but each time 2 out of the 3 members will be new. each time the quality of work is different. i do tip them after their service. as of now i got used to their services and after joining angies list i am thinking of switching services to more qualified company.

Overall, it was a good experience. They were not able to come at the time appointed due to a delay but they did call me and let me know that. The experience was good.

they came in, and started. Worked their way form top to bottom. They were nice and even asked if their was anything else that they could assist me with.

dThe crew at Five Star arrived, and scrubbed the house so well, my Wife was impressed, and took me to dinner she was so excited. Five Star cleaned the bathrooms using some combination of products and steam cleaning that safely removed ALL of the spots on my shower!. I have had 3 other local cleaning companies from the area, and no one has been able to get my shower clean like Five Star did. I had paid some franchise company over $300 to do a deep cleaning, but did not have the attention to details as this company. I have signed up for weekly service with Five Star for a reasonable $104 (they offered me a discount for Wednesdays, and I took it) The owner and I played phone tag for a few days. E-mail is much easier to reach them. I read the reviews, and saw some people upset by delayed return calls, but with most reviews positive, and my Wife being so happy, I would definitely recommend Five Star, even if you play phone tag for a while. We even get automated reminders via e-mail (make sure they have your e-mail correct) which really helps because once out old franchise company went and we forgot the appointment.

The owner returned my e-mail within minutes even while on vacation with her family. The crew arrived the next day and did a fantastic job. I have used other local cleaning companies, and this was by far the best, easiest experience I have had. I was a little disappointed when the crew was 15 minutes late, but I understand that they cannot rush their prior job, and they accommodated my rush request.

On our second request, the provider did not return phone calls or emails, and only with a voice mail threatening we'd be returning our voucher, then did they actually respond. The woman who answers the calls is rather unprofessional and speaks only broken English. "Too busy to return a call" should not be in their vocabulary.

I was satisfied with their service. I sent an email to them with my feedback and specifically the things that I had noted in the email was that when they came here they did not identify themselves as a part of five stars nor introduce themselves. They just said that there were here. I wasn’t pleased with the bathrooms and much specifically the bathtub and the left by just saying goodbye. After I sent them the feedback they were very nice and they called me and apologized and also offered me another free cleaning. She said that the feedback that I gave was pretty much what other people had told them. They did a nice job but didn’t do things what they could do better.

I had no problems with them and everything went as expected.

I called them for an estimate and explained that the house was brandnew...so the girl I spoke with mentioned they could possibly not charge me the full price for first time visits but she would get back to me to let me know for sure and exactly how much it would cost. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM! This was in February 2012...still waiting for the phone call :) In all seriousness I found someone else to clean my house...she charges A LOT less and does a great job.

I called Five Star Maids and they came when arranged. They had to add me to their schedule but they were very accommodating. They came with a crew of four and quickly worked through the house. They worked professionally and quickly and quietly. All went well and my house was ready for our out of town guests.

Very responsive and customer-oriented. Great communication, professionalism and quality.

They were really great. The cleaning quality was very high. We didn’t continue using them because the price was a little high for ongoing, repeated visits. They were very willing to craft some kind of customized schedule and only do parts of the house. If we used someone, we would go with Five Star Maids.

They have outstanding customer service. They are prompt. They are thorough, and they are well-staffed. Their pricing is very reasonable.

As above, they were very professional and thorough, yet were able to be friendly and personable too. Did a wonderful job on my VERY messy home. They were also very fast!!! Will most definitely have them back!!!

The office staff was very nice, came out and did a survey of the house before giving me a final quote. I really liked that it was a free estimate and the person who came out was very nice and friendly. However, that is where the good experience ended. The cleaning crew, comprised of 3 individuals and a lead, came on time and were accomodating in terms of last minute rescheduling. However, the quality of their work was very poor. I received a call after 2.5 h that they were almost finished, which was surprising because it is a large house. When I arrived, I realized right away that it was a hurried job. Dust was still on baseboards, the floor had streaks, and all cabinets (kitchen and bathrooms) still had grime in them. While the lead was nice and tried to get the others to redo the work, the workers at one point decided they were done and went outside. Their lead had to redo most of the work on her own. This was not only an example of bad management, but very uncomfortable for me as the customer. I should not have to show them leaks under sinks - as professionals, they should see these things. They also came unprepared: if we did not have a step stool in the house they would not have been able to reach the light fixtures. They did not have strong enough solutions to thoroughly clean an oven door. After they left and we moved in, the more time I spent in the house the more examples of their lack of detail and attention I noticed. It was a really disappointing experience. I will be looking for another service for a monthly cleaning job, but I cannot say I will work with Five Star Maids Again.
