Five Star Maids

I used Five Star Maids for bi-weekly service for many years. Lore and her teams do a great job, and are wonderful people. They would straighten and clean, make beds if I needed it, and everything was very shiny. If I felt that they had missed a spot, they either came back to redo it or gave me a credit on my account. They were always very responsive when I had additional needs or needed to change scheduling. The only issue that I ever had with them was dealing with my dogs during cleaning - I know they are busy and moving quickly, but on a couple of occasions, my dogs would be overlooked and either left outside, or allowed to escape through an open front door. I recommend to anyone who doesn't have pets, or who has pets that are kenneled during the day!

We couldn't get scheduled when I needed to so I am not going through with the deal. They responded very quickly.

It was easy to set up an appointment, and I received email reminders prior to the date of service. There were three people on the cleaning crew, and they did a thorough job. I was quoted a reasonable price for ongoing cleaning (bi-weekly and monthly) and chose to have them visit once a month. Quite simply, Five Star Maids has very good service and prices, and I've already recommended them to other friends.

When the workers left they told me that someone from the office would be contacting me with pricing for weekly or bi-weekly cleaning, however I did not hear from anyone. When I called a week or so later, an office girl told me that the cleaners should have left a quote. She assured me that someone would get back with me in a few days but no one ever did, nor did they leave a message. At least a month went by before I received an email reminder that it was time for me to schedule my next cleaning. Unfortunately, it was too late by then for me to have any interest in using them again.

The 3 young ladies did what I ask, dusting, vac & mopping. Wiping down guest bath and kitchen. I was pleased with results. However, I do feel it was alittle costly. Overall, I would recommend.

With 3 girls cleaning, they finished in about 2 1/2 hours. I felt they did a good job for a regular cleaning. But this was suppose to to be a spring cleaning, which was listed as over $400. I did not feel they did a $400 job. I paid $199 and felt that would even be too much for their services. They were so fast that missed little things.

What I did find when I came home was not as detailed a clean as I had wanted. I didn't find that they went behind the toilets on the floor to clean those...a lot of dust collected around and under our old heating radiators which are located in every room. The fridge was done but items are not wiped off in the fridge. Our oven is new so nothing to report there. I think if you hire them then you need to be very specific or be home while they clean to check on the. Maybe I am just too picky after having a cleaner come in once a week at my old house.

They cleaned well enough, but I have cats and their hair plus the kitty litter dust is everywhere in spite of cleaning daily by myself. The crew would clean the great room but would not clean under the sofa, chair or coffee table that rolls. I have wood floors and this furniture moves very easily. I have mentioned this many times to the crew but they still would not clean under these items. Furthermore, in my Florida Room where the cats have their pans, the crew does not mop that floor; they vacuum only. I have a 1700 sq ft house and the crew of (3) stay less than an hour. In the beginning when they started a few months ago, there were (4) on the team and they stayed at least an hour and a half. I called and told them I was canceling my service. They have since contacted me and assured me that this will be taken care of on the next visit at no charge - we'll see. They returned to clean on 6/10/14. The crew stayed about 1 1/2 hours and cleaned again. However, I was not satisfied as I discovered again they are not cleaning under cabinets that are set off the floor and easily accessible to clean. I called back and again told them I did not want the service going forward.

This was the second scheduled cleaning. We agreed to have a monthly cleaning if we could have the same team (blue team) so that we would not have to train and orient the people for each visit. We were told that this would not be a problem. When the team showed up they were all new and my wife had to go over all of the instructions again. This team did not do as good a job and they also caused some damage to the wall on our staircase. They were using a canister vacuum and the girl lost control coming down the stepa and it bounced off the wall and damaged the dry wall. After this experience and the fact that we could not be assured that the same team would come each month we cancelled all future service.

Unfortunately the quality of this last cleaning wasn't up to my expectations. The house was clean, but it was definitely not a "deep" clean and there were areas that were missed all together like the shower in the master bath.

I had to introduce myself and ask each one what were their names. The bathrooms weren't clean to expectations, the dinning room floor was partially cleaned. Bookshelf was not dusted at all.

The "Blue Team," Sophia, Suzanne, and (Name?) did a great job catching me up on my cleaning for company this weekend. They got an idea of what my house involves and I would like to recieve a quote for follow-up services. Thankyou, Brenda

The team was running early so they called to see if it was ok to come sooner than the appointment. Arrived as promised, introduced themselves and went straight to work. I think it was a couple of hours and the house was squeaky clean. Floors mopped or swept as needed. Everything dusted and wiped down. I was impressed with their efficiency.

Overall the house was nice and clean once the cleaning crew was done. I did have some strange residue on my toilet seat - I'm not sure if perhaps it had been cleaned, but the material wasn't washed off? There was one thing that could have been handled better. I had been out running errands. I came home, sat down and checked messages while grabbing a quick lunch. I had a message that they wanted to come sooner, but they did not wait to get confirmation from me. So, I was in the middle of lunch when they arrived and I had to rush around to pick things up, which I had planned to do in the time I thought I had after lunch. There was no apology or recognition of the inconvenience to me - the focus seemed to be on them being able to get in and out ASAP now that their schedule had opened up. Overall things went fine, but I have worked with another cleaning service on Angie's List that was more professional and thorough (doing small but nice things like putting liners in all the trash cans), and I plan to use that company going forward.

They were excellent and professional. They were on time.

It turned out very well. Usually they come out in teams of 2 but for the big deal it was 1 person. they asked us what we wanted done- which rooms or what services- and then they completed t to our satisfaction. They were professional, friendly and confident. I had 3 visits: one was in May one in June and one in July and the approximate cost of the service was $89.

They were awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Extremely courteous, efficient, thorough, and prices were fair I felt! They arrived15 minutes prior to appointment time, and asked if they could begin.........I walked thru the rooms with them, and then they took over. They insisted that I inspect after they were done, and I didn't have one complaint. Rooms were spotless, and will do much more that I required,of course it cost extra, but it should!! I will definitely use them again, and am considering on a monthly basis. I was very excited to find someone who stood behind their work, and took pride in the job they did. So happy I found them!!!!!!!!!!

They show up with a crew of four. And the house is crystal clean.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. My wife was tickled pink with them. She is entering into a contract with them to come every month to do the whole house. We have a big house and the price will be $165 for the whole house. We thought the price was fair. My wife was very, very happy with them. They borrowed one of our ladders and got up and dusted the fans. She said they cleaned it better than she could ever think about cleaning it. We had no complaints at all.

It's a crew of three or four women who are hard-working, focused, and efficient. You can tell them how you want something cleaned--for example, we have a table that you can't use any kind of polish on--and you only have to tell them once. They are very professional. The cleaning they provide--dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming--is quite thorough. They have kept our house in great shape. I can't believe we used to get by without their help. I see that others here have complaints about punctuality or the quality of cleaning. I can say that Five Star Maids has been almost always right on time and the quality of work has been consistently high. The owner runs a very good shop. This is a company you can deal with--they are responsible and totally professional. No one is perfect, but Five Star Maids gets it right 99% of the time and that's a solid A+ in my book. I highly recommend this company.

It went well and very fast. There were 4 ladies and there were in and out in less than one hour. I Thought they did a great job but without the special discount of 50 precent off it would have be way to expensive and I wouldn't pay that much for a cleaning

Fine - were quick and did a decent job.

Work was done by the Blue Team. The service met all our expectations. The 3 workers arrived about 30 minutes late but we were called and told of the delay well in advance. Work was thorough and professional and we would not hesitate to use them again.
