Description of Work: Initial consult went well. Provider was responsive. Told him there was one week when service could not be performed. He called me with message. I called back and left message. But he never got back to me so I think he may have underbid the job and was not anxious to complete it.

Description of Work: Met with contractor and showed him the shower. He stated that it would be a fiberglass pan per the coupon. I also asked him to price out replacing the floor tiles in the rest of the bathroom. He was also to price out some soffit vents. He stated that he would call me. When I checked the coupon I confirmed that it stated that it was for wall and floor tiles, which meant to me that it should be a tile shower floor, not fiberglass. I sent him an e-mail message via Angie's List to that effect and suggested that we talk about that. Never heard a response from him and I have another contractor who is willing to do the work right away.

Description of Work: Installed a new toilet and a couple other jobs my family had for him. First rate job on everything he did, and the attitude was FABULOUS too. I will be using them for future projects!

Description of Work: Painted living room, breakfast nook and kitchen, including ceiling and crown molding. They were very neat and cleaned up when finished. My only complaint is when they fixed small imperfections in the plaster board, they did not let it dry and sand it smooth before painting. The nail holes looked worse then before they spackeled. I would recommend they come in the day before painting and do any required repairs and then come back the next day to paint.

Description of Work: When I purchased the Big Deal, I was getting ready to move into a new home. I didn't want the deal to expire, so I purchased it thinking I'd use it for my son's bathroom once we moved. When I contacted Mr. Sipe, he told me to go to Lowe's or Home Depot to pick out the tile I wanted to use, and gave me the price allowance. I tried bringing several samples home to try, and my son and I didn't like any of the choices in the price allowance. My son said he'd rather keep his bathroom the way it is.

Description of Work: I called Commonwealth renovation before I paid to get some questions answered and didn't get a response so I went ahead and paid to see if they would respond then. I didn't hear anything from him after calling several times. Then I called Angies List and yall called him then he called and left a message on my answering machine and I called him and again no response. Sheesh!!!!!

Description of Work: They retiled my hallway bathroom and replaced a tiolet. They did a fine job. Would use again.

Description of Work: Came to give me a stamped concrete patio estimate two months ago. Still waiting for the estimate and the call back.

Description of Work: I was very pleased with both visits. The first was the attic inspection. Very thorough, with a follow up showing me the problem areas. A written report followed via email including estimate for repairs (insulation for areas of the attic that were missing it; repair of knot holes; repair of chimney cover that had come off). The second visit was to do all of the above repairs. Again very thorough, with a walk through of everything that had been done. Very willing to answer questions, give suggestions and offer alternatives. I was very happy with the work done, and the gentlemen were both very nice. I would definitely call this company again, and recommend them to friends & family.

Description of Work: I had an assortment of small jobs--fixing a door lock mechanism, putting on a new door knocker, fixing a light, etc. It turned out that the door knocker which had been bought in Europe used metric. He went out searching for the part we needed . I was so pleased with this company.

Description of Work: Gutters were cleaned, but the leaves were left all over the yard, driveway and flower beds. He said he would pick them up for an extra charge. Totally unhappy with the results.

Description of Work: The company cleaned the gutters on our 2 story house. I had no problems with the quality of service, but from the beginning the communication was an issue. We bought the deal and were told by Angie's List that the company would respond in 2 days. It took over a week for the company to send me an email; I then had to call them to schedule the appointment. It then took two additional days for the company to call me back to schedule the appointment. The appointment day came and went with nobody cleaning our gutters. I called the company the following week, in which the owner told me that a local marathon blocked them from getting to our house and he forgot to email me to let me know that they did not clean the gutters. If the company had better communications with the customer I might opt to use them again, but it was just a miserable experience the first time around that I would just rather not use them.

Description of Work: He came for an estimate and the job instead of being $6000.00 plus the discount was all of a sudden $12000.00 with the discount . Not according to the write up at all . He did tell me that I could get a full refund which I did. The discount was for a 2000 sq ft roof and he said mine was 4000 sq ft. . Just didn't feel right so I cancèlled the deal and went elsewhere. Angie's list write up was wrong also in their description so that was not his fault and it was subsequently corrected . Just a very disappointing experience and makes me suspicious of all the other big deals I see.

Description of Work: This was a coupon redemption. They communicated well, arrived on tine, did the grout restoration and cleaned my slow drain. They did the drain as the coupon was for two hours and the grout restoration did not take that long.
