Cole Electric of Va. Inc.

Mike was here from 8:30a.m. to 6:00p.m. with a 1+ hour lunch, a 20-minute visit with our neighbor, and much of the time visiting with us and telling us stories of his former helper, the cruises and trips he and his wife take, etc. We knew the minimum was $125.00 just to come down here, but was not aware it would take more than a couple of hours to do the job. He informed us this work should not be rushed. My husband was in shock when Mike presented him with a $1,080.00 bill. When Mike saw my husband's reaction, he reduced the bill by $100.00. He left the cuts in the wall and informed my husband that a drywall man that he knows would be contacting us to mud and paint the drywall. We don't know what the going rates and times are for extending a cable behind the wall, but this seems VERY excessive. We had used Mike's business years ago and were satisfied with the electrical done for us, but that was done by one of his workers and was not excessive in price. Needless to say we were very disappointed this time.

Could never get in contact with or receive a call back from the provider.

Overall I had a very good experience with Cole Electric. As soon as I sent a message for a quote request I heard back from Andrew. He was extremely flexible with setting up a time to come give a quote and even came by an hour before they normally do service calls just so that I could get to work on time. He was courteous and friendly - very quick to put together the quote. Once we agreed to the quote it was very easy to set up an appointment. Andrew showed up as agreed and got right to work. Everything was done very quickly and very quietly - he was finished within an hour and a half or so. Very friendly and professional. I would definitely call Cole Electric in the future for other needs.

I called Mike Cole around 4 in the afternoon when I realized my fish pond pump was not working, and would not reset at the circuit box. He came immediately (since the fish were in danger), and fixed the problem right away. He ended up working into the evening, and even had to come back the next day to finish up. I was very impressed with his responsiveness and professionalism. I ended up hiring him to do some more electrical projects as well (changing lighting, adding outlets, etc.) I will definitely call him again for more projects!

They know what they are doing, are professional and polite, and arrive when they say they will. Obviously, we like the way they do business since we have had them at the house for projects multiple times.

Fabulous! Andrew was prompt, professional, courteous, kind, explained things so that I could understand clearly what the problems were. He made a few suggestions and offered a few options for consideration. He tidied the work areas thoroughly upon completion of the projects. I can't say enough good things about this electrician and the service call and company. Bravo!

The individual who came and did the work, worked really hard. I've never seen anybody work as hard as he did. My opinion is really about Jeff, who is one of their main people who does the job. He worked tirelessly to get it done and then later when some of these lights went out, he actually came and replaced them. I was pleased with him. I can't tell you about the company itself but he sure has been diligent in helping me. We checked out a lot of other company and they seem to be reasonable compared to other individuals that gave us the estimate. One had a really fancy design for the whole yard and it was like $15,000 and we said, "No way. What about these light right around the house?" and it was $9000 so this choice was a much better deal. He did a great job in putting everything in but the light bulb seemed to be burning out. He did a great job in digging, putting in the line and putting in the lights. A lot of times there are other jobs and it takes him a while to get here.

Person arrived at appointed time and was friendly and cooperative. Problems were resolved in a timely fashion.

Leader (1st) garage wall plug shorted on a Sunday and because it fed the other 2 plugs (along with the freezer, TV, phone, and a seperate fridge), I called Coles. He said it would be $125 to come out on a Sunday so I figured around $150 to replace the wall plugs. He came out, replaced the 3 plugs and the tolal I paid was $250. All I could think of was it must be $125 to come out AND $125 for the work. He could have told me the extra cost up-front.

I was pleased with their work. They were on time, gave me an estimate up front, and stuck to their original quote. They also gave me an estimate on some other work. I thought it was too high, but they brought down the price and I agreed to service.

Mike spent quite a bit of time doing it, I didn't think the time was exorbitant but it was a bit more than I wanted to spend. He did an excellent job.

Contractor contacted me within several hours of initial call. Following day, electrician came by and provided estimates based on the features of the fan we opted to use. Unfortunately, this pricing came in a bit higher then I was expecting. Several days later I came across a fan in a local retailer that met all my needs and was at an attractive sale price. I re-contacted Cole Electric and asked if they would adjust their quote to cover just their labor and other materials needed to do the job. They did this, readjusted their quote and performed the work a day later. As before, the end result was excellent customer service, a willingness to work with the customer and a clean professional installation. I was very satisfied.

Jeff came out on time and was very professional. He first tried to find the break in the wire that was causing the short. He was unable to find the break so he ran a new line. I will be call ing them again if I have any other electrical issues.

We have used Cole electric a year ago and they were great. However, we had an 8AM appointment scheduled with them today. They never called to reschedule and just never showed up. I called once at 8:45 AM and again at 10:00 AM. Currently, it is 10:30 AM and they never called me back. I consider this a deliberate and offensive act on their part and I will lot be recommending them again to anyone!

The work went well. Mike, Jeff, and Robert were punctual, courteous, and professional. They are experienced working with older homes that have a combination of old and new wiring throughout. I highly recommend you give them a call the next time you need assistance with electrical issues.

Work was professional on time and quick. I could have bought the parts for less, but I needed the expertise. I've used them before, I would use them again and I would recommend them with confidence

Over all, very well. I called on 7/20 for an estimate and received a prompt call back from the owner. We arranged to have the work done the next day. I discussed the job with the owner, Mike, and he made several suggestions which made the installation better and a little less expensive. On Saturday, the electrician, Jeff, called about 15 minutes prior to arrival and showed up on time for the work. He was extremely neat, covered all the bedroom furniture, thoroughly cleaned up after he was finished and answered every question we had along the way. Overall, Cole Electric did quality work at a fair price and we will certainly use them again.

Jeff was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He was on time, punctual, and polite. The price was a shock, but well within reason; electrical work is just plain expensive,but worth every penny for peace of mind.

Two electricians arrived at 8:30 am, on time. One left right away and the electrician who stayed and did the job took his sweet time. I had to go to work at 11:30am. So my husband stayed. At 11:30 he only had two dimmer switches to install. At 3:30pm when I called home, my husband said he was still "working." At that time we were presented with a bill for $932! No itemization. Just "labor and materials." I have used this company four times in the past several years to install fixtures and repair the motor to an attic fan. I was appalled at this charge and did speak with the proprietor over the next few weeks. He eventually rebated me $119: $19 for a switch he didn't use that he said cost $40 when I questioned the original bill and a $100 labor "discount." AND I had two holes in my ceiling and a hole in the wall from the new fixture that I had to hire a drywall/painter to repair.
