Charles came out and gave me an estimate on a new roof and gutters. He was not pushy, explained the types of shingles and helped pick quality for my budget. He explained exactly what they would do and then did it. We are very pleased with the looks of the roof and the gutters which were a great improvement over the ones that were there. The gutter price may have been on the high side, however, they are excellent quality.

In response to my call, Mr. Wright came out to the house to evaluate my leaky roof and recommend a solution. The solution recommended addressed the problem without reroofing the entire house. The recommended work was performed on the agreed upon day. The technician was polite, explained what he was doing and did an excellent job in the repair and clean up.

Mr. Weight was very professional and helpful during the consult. Keith the technician was also very friendly and informative.

On a windless day, a 30 foot tree in our back yard decided to fall towards the house. That tree did little or no damage. However, it took down another tree closer to the house which fell onto a small pitched roof over our garage, narrowly missing two outside HVAC units. Charles Wright visited later that day and we had a written estimate by the next working day. Downed trees were removed by another company. Within two weeks of the event, three different trades from C.L. Wright worked on successive days and repaired damaged woodwork, replaced damaged shingles and installed new guttering. We are very satisfied with the quality of workmanship and service received. Actually, the finished job looks better than the original! Thank you Charles, thank you JoAnne.

This company - and everyone we dealt with - was very professional and responsive. They kept appointments, arrived on time, and performed the work as stated. They did the job quickly and efficiently and cleaned up very well afterward. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and have had no further problems. They had to replace a portion of the roof versus patching a section and we will probably use them in the near future to replace other portions of the roof (the whole roof really needs replacing but we can't afford to do it all at once!). We have had repairs on another section of the roof and had to call the company back two and three times when it continued to leak - not so with Wright Roofing! A very smooth experience from start to finish.

The employee arrived on time, consulted with me about the work and then completed everything to my satisfaction. I would definitely use this company in the future.

We had a very old barn roof that needed to be replaced. 7,300 sqft. They came in, removed all the old tin, repaired rafters and slats as necessary, put on the paper, the shingles, vents at the peak, guards at the bottoms, and did it all in 3 days.....amazing. all the debris was cleaned up and old nails picked up from the ground and hay loft. Their price also beat, in some cases by a lot, all of the other bids we had received.

I was very happy with his service and he was very friendly. The appointment was made and he was there when he said he would be.

When I interviewed roofers for the job, C. L. Wright and one other experienced roofer / roofing company owner inspired confidence in their knowledge and skill. Wright had the best price on my first choice in shingles, and the best estimate overall among the roofers who submitted estimates. Some of the ouffits that sent sales people instead of roofers have good reputations, but I prefer to talk to an actual roofer about the project while he is looking at the work site. The company's office operations are managed by Mrs. Wright. Scheduling and communications, (along with other functions the customer does not see directly), are handled with apparently flawless efficiency. There were zero delays and misunderstandings throughout the process. Roofing operations were also conducted efficiently. The field supervisor gave me his cell number at the beginning of the day in case of problems or questions. I did not need to use it because the job foreman was able to address any questions that came up. It was evident that the crew members worked effectively together and the work was coordinated so there was no down time waiting for one phase to finish before another started. They finished the job in one day with daylight to spare (in December), even though carpenters were doing some repairs at the same time. Cleanup was swift and thorough. The top ridge-cap shingle on a spot with an unusual pitch loosened up the next day. The field supervisor came out and repaired it the following morning. No other problems have arisen. If we ever need roofing work done in the future, I will call Wright first.

The crew showed up on time as promised, the job went smoothly, and every scrap and nail was removed before they left. Excellent, friendly, hard-working crew. The finished product looks great. There were no surprise charges or issues, we are 100% pleased with the job, employees, and value. I would definitely use their services again and refer them to friends.

Keith (technician) arrived within the stated window. He worked independently, but he was friendly and happy to answer questions.

A crew arrived (4 men) and pulled off the old vents and put on the new ones in several hours. Some of the shingles that covered it was not the right color, so they could not finish. Someone came back several days later and finished the job. It looks very good.

Mr. Wright saved me money by giving me advice (and literature) that no other roofer had bothered to mention. Everyone involved was prompt, professional, and a pleasure to work with. They kept me informed every step of the way and even came back and took care of a couple of small follow-up items in the rain! The workmen were very careful with the new paint on my house and left my yard clean. Overall, I am very pleased.

Wonderful! Everything went very well from start to finish. All the people were very professional, answering my questions and letting me know of any issues I needed to be aware of for the future. This is a really great outfit! You should definitely give them a call for anything roofing related. The initial quote was right on target. I felt like I got more than my money's worth. I'll sure be calling them when the roof needs replacing.

Installer was on time and pleasant to work with.

We had a leak around the flashing near our skylight. Also wanted to have two new skylight installed as part of the job. After reviewing Angie's List for roofing contractors, I called the top 3 with A ratings for estimates. CL Wright was not the lowest but all were in the same cost area.I decided to go with them because Mr Wright personally came out for the estimate at the exact time scheduled, he really seemed to know what he was talking about, and the reviews on here were mostly excellent. The job was set up and completed on the day agreed and done in a very timely and professional manor. Mr' Wright's brother also did some punch work for me on one part of the job that still needed work--including running to Lowe's for matching shingles at no extra cost. New flashing was installed around the skylight area and two new Vellux skylights were installed. We don't have a leak anymore and the skylights are awesome (compared to the old bubble type), nice seeing the moon and stars shine into the dining area again. Throughout the communication was great and they even sent an "appreciate the opportunity to perform the job" card at the end. Nice touch. One of my best experiences with a contractor ever. Would recommend them for any roofing needs.

From the prompt initial contact to the honest evaluation of the problem, the company was professional and enjoyable to work with. We ended up not needing to use their services as the issue was not with the roof. They did let us know what the problem was and how to fix it. I have added CL Wright to my list of services companies and will use and recommend them going forward.

Mr. Wright was very professional, informative and reasonably priced.

Mr. Wright Came to my house at the agreed-upon time and took measurements for the roof. We also discussed replacing six skylights and doing some gutter repair work as well. I received the estimate in the mail a couple days later. The price was a bit higher than other estimates I'd received, but I liked him and his reputation on Angie's List. The estimate, however, did not include any information on the skylight replacements. I mailed back his proposal (signed) with an addendum including the price of the skylights we had discussed, along with a $5,000 check for a deposit. I also requested a 2% cash discount. He doesn't require a deposit, but I thought it would be appreciated. A couple days later he calls me. He says the prices he gave me for the skylights did not include installation and that my offer was low and they don't offer discounts for paying in cash. Fair enough. He said he would return my check and send me a new proposal. 10 days pass. No proposal and no returned check from CL Wright. I was still interested in doing business with him, so I call him back. He assures me AGAIN he will be sending a new proposal and not to worry about the check as it has been voided. 7 days have now passed since this last conversation. Still no proposal from CL Wright and no returned check. The check hasn't been cashed yet, but it will cost $40 to put a stop payment on the check. They may be great roofers (I couldn't say), but it just seems like a huge red flag when a company or person treats you this way that should warn you about doing business with them. [Update: This is my response to the service provider's comments below] I'm sorry we have gotten off on such a bad foot here and it all could have been prevented if only YOU HAD BEEN MORE PROFESSIONAL in your dealings with me. - I am, of course, sorry to hear about your losses. Contrary to your comments below where you blame me for not enquiring about your family matters as the cause for a 17 day delay in getting back to me with a complete proposal, I called your company TWICE and spoke to Mr. Wright both times asking for the proposal. If he had only informed me there was a personal issue and his response would be delayed, NONE OF THIS would be occurring. Instead he just did not respond. - You imply I was disingenuous by being 'friendly and cordial' to you after having written my unfavorable review. Wrong. In fact I assumed Mr. Wright HAD read the review at the time he delivered the final proposal. I was greatly encouraged that he was, after all, a professional. A professional that recognizes that a dissatisfied customer is a company's greatest opportunity. I was happy to get his proposal. Your final proposal was perfectly acceptable to me and I signed it that night. - The very next day (after apparently reading my unfavorable review), I received a call from an obviously agitated Mr. Wright. There were a lot of "You don't know me"s and "People like you"s thrown out. I, as you reflect in your comments, said I still wanted to do business with you and that I would remove/ammend my review as the project progressed. It was to no avail; In no uncertain terms I was informed that you were rescinding your offer. - Angie's List lets customers rate providers on 'Professionalism' - not on 'Personalism'. Again, I'm sorry about your losses, but that's a conversation to be had in person (or by phone), not to be used as an excuse on an Angie's List review. I know, it's hard to hear. All I know about you is our business relationship and in that, you have failed. - A professional would use this situation as an opportunity to create a positive customer experience. A non-professional would stamp their feet, take their ball and go home. Which category do you see your actions falling into?

He was very prompt, courteous. And seemed very honest and knowledgeable about the state of my roof and what is needed to repair it. We haven't made a final decision yet, but I would call him if we decide to get a new roof.

I kept putting off getting estimates on the roof and gutters, but both badly needed replacement. I got three estimates, and all were within several hundred dollars, so I felt good about the price (though C.L. Wright's estimate did end up being the lowest by a few hundred dollars due to discount offered by Charles for doing both roof and gutters at the same time, though the jobs were invoiced separately). Charles Wright came promptly for scheduled estimate appointment, took over an hour for complete inspection and then we discussed options and he answered my questions for another half hour. When he left, I had a written estimate and other materials in my hand. After one week, I made the decision to go with C.L. Wright because it is a local company (since 1987), does much work in my neighborhood, the price, the ease of contact (phone calls promptly returned, etc.) and overall good feel for the family-run company. Work was scheduled within several weeks and completed within a few days (it was a large job). The work was done efficiently and professionally by all . . . I was kept informed in person each day as to the schedule, the work being performed, etc. All were polite and friendly at all times. Roofing work is loud and messy but everyone made things as easy as possible for me. I was extremely pleased with the outcome, and the new roof (and new gutters which followed two weeks later) have markedly improved the appearance of the house. JoAnne Wright handled all billing and scheduling and everything on that side also went smoothly. I would like to thank C.L. Wright for making a process I had long dreaded as easy as possible for me -- spending that much money is obviously a major decision and investment. I know I improved the value of my home. I recommend this company most highly.
