Showed up as agreed, was professional, did extra small job on shed.

We initially contacted C. L. Wright at the end of September. Mr. Wright came over right on time to look at our problems and give us an estimate of repairs. He quickly gave us an overall view of how the work would be done in two sections- first replace the two skylights and fix the roof, then replace the gutters. When we told him we would also be having our siding repaired and getting the home painted, he gave us excellent advice on how best to get everything done in the most efficient manner. He really helped us more than he knew. Once we had been given a timetable for the work by JoAnne, mother nature decided to rain for a solid week, during which time JoAnne kept us updated daily on what her new schedule would be. Although I am sure she was very frustrated with the rain, she was always super nice to work with and happy to help us in any way possible. Finally the rain let up and within one day our leaks were fixed and we had two new beautiful skylights. After the roof was done, we had our siding repaired and our home painted by another company. As soon as they were done, C. L. Wright came back and installed our 6" RainPro gutters- super strong and look really nice. The day after they were installed we had a light rain and they worked great. I highly recommend C. L. Wright for the quality of both their roofing and the gutter replacement, for the excellent pricing of their work, and most of all for the quality of their service- you just don't see service like they have very much anymore!

He completed the work on the same day he visited for an estimate. He did a good job and they were easy to work with

Not much to say here except AMAZING JOB, and the price was unbeatable. Will hire them from here on out for any roofing job if the quality of work on this job is an indication of what to expect in the future. Based on the other reviews here, I would say that it is. C.L. Wright Roofing replaced my entire roof, including large damaged areas of sheathing, rebuilt one roof valley entirely where it had been improperly constructed and installed 2 new attic fans and 2 Sun Tunnels above my kitchen. Roof was in pretty bad shape. The crew really hustled and worked up until dark the first day. They charaged very reasonably for the "extras" and additional sheathing needed. They came back a few days later to install one exterior board so that I could paint it properly. I like the fit and finish of the flashing around my chimneys and the attention to detail. Months later, after I had replaced the fascia boards, they installed a new gutter & downspout system. I think CL Wright provides excellent value for money. They may not be the least expensive (nor the most expensive) but I think the quality of their work is superior. But who wants a cheap roof anyway? Overall, I found this firm very responsive, pleasant to work with and fairly priced. I am very pleased with the results of their work on my house.

We can't say enough good things about Mr. Wright and his employees. He gave us an estimate that was half of what another well known contractor had given us and included additional items (not to mention a better product) that the other contractor said we didn't need. But after speaking with Mr Wright, he explained why this was needed and we realized the other contractor was just trying to cut corners and still overcharge us in the process. We really appreciate his honesty and integrity, as this certainly seems to be a lacking quality in today's world. They showed up when they said they would and completed the job in just a couple of hours. They cleaned up everything when they left and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Mrs. Wright even sent us a thank you card for our business! What an unexpected and delightful surprise! Too bad more companies don't operate like this. We would highly recommend C.L. Wright and would definitely use them again in the future. They did an awesome job and we can't thank them enough!

Keith Brown was our technician and he was professional, polite and did an exceptional job. He explained what needed to be done so there were not surprises. Everything was done as he said it would be and the job was finished in only two visits.

Work crew came on agreed date, but later than planned. Workers discovered unexpected damage, additional supplies were gotten & job was completed in satisfactory way. Site cleaned well.

We first used this roofer after one of the last hurricanes to replace six roofing tiles that were blown off. It was a good first impression. When it came time for a total roof replacement, I called them for a quote on the roofing and gutters (the gutter job had been botched by a previous "General contractor" that "merely sub contracted the three jobs (Siding, gutters, and two door replacements.) C.L. Wright completed the job as scheduled the first time. (Took the last roofer two tries. Leaks at the three foot section of the lower roof that extends past the two story section of the house had to be redone by the last roofer.) C.L. Wright was backlogged with work (they must be doing something right...) but they kept me informed of the expected job date and weather delays. The gutter job won't start till the last week of this month... The quoted estimated price was $4,800 but this is an OLD house (one foot rafters, roofing boards instead of the plyboard used on newer houses, and I expected board feet of roofing boards to run over costs.)

Ten-year-old vinyl gutters were leaking at the seams and undersized for the amount of water they had to carry in a heavy rain. C. L. Wright came out and sized up the situation and recommended their 30% larger seamless gutters and downspouts and gutter-guards. A question arose about how they would deal with any facia board damage found after removing the old gutters, and they responded with a satisfactory explanation. After accepting their proposal, an installation date was set. The installer arrived on time, but was unable to finish in one day. He returned the next day (a Saturday) to complete the job. A small problem was discovered over the weekend when we had a major storm. After contacting the company on Monday, they sent the installer out the next day to resolve the problem satisfactorily.

Very happy with all aspects from the estimate, written in 2010, and the job which was still billed out with the same price after three and a half years.

Excellent all around service. Replaced a gutter and part of a leaking roof. Very pleased overall.

Working with the Wrights was an absolute "painless" experience. Everything from the original estimate to completion of the roofing job went as smooth as silk. The crew that actually did the work was fantastic. Roof looks great. I've had two of my close neighbors to come by and compliment the appearance. One of the things that stood out for me was the great communication between their office and myself. Sometimes by phone, sometimes by email but always prompt and clear. Cleanup of the old shingles and paper was A+. Except for the new roof you couldn't even tell they had been there. I highly recommend this company. I didn't rate the price of the roof because I didn't get any other estimates. I knew from the comments here on Angie's List and from personal interaction with the Wrights that I wanted them to install the new roof on my home so no other estimates or price considerations were necessary.

CL Wright responded quickly to my email and told us when they would be available. They showed up on the appointed day and did a great job. The cost was less than I was expecting. Would definitely use them again!

The product and workmanship was excellent - The work was done with concern for our landscaping, cement shingles are heavy and if dropped to the ground would have done a great deal of damage - We were and are very pleased

Everything went well. The company communicated effectively prior to and during the installation. The crew arrived on schedule and performed the work as expected. A little hiccup when almost $1,000 more work had to be completed than originally expected, but there was no way to avoid that. It was handled professionally. I am also impressed with the clean up; there was not a trace of debris or trash on my property afterwards. The finished product looks great and I am feeling very good about the workmanship. I'm 100% satisfied! I do have a suggestion in terms of processing payment. In today's age, it would be much more customer friendly to accept credit cards as a payment method. I had assumed this to be the case with CL Wright because... well, it's just a given for practically all the businesses I deal with. I can't remember the last time somebody told me "sorry, checks only." I could have gotten so many rewards points for that purchase, which would have been really good for me. Just some food for thought...

Called him back to see what he could do and he didn't offer much help. I'm turning to another person to replace the gutters.

Mr. Wright runs an excellent company. He provided an estimate in a very timely fashion (the last of 4 contractors contacted) and even provided a cover for the hole when none of the other contractors did. That was enough to convince me to use him. The estimate was in the middle of prices obtained. We scheduled the work for a few days later on a Monday. Sunday evening, Mrs. Wright called to confirm the appointment which I appreciated very much. The repairman arrived on time , actually a little early, We are extremely please with C. L. Wright Roofing and will use them again.

Everything went as advertised. Mr. Wright arrived on time for the estimate. They were able to schedule for the date that worked best for us. The supervisor came to my door on time, provided his contact info, and the roofers got straight to work. Very pleased with the results. Cleaned up all materials and waste when the job was done. When our garage requires that the roofing be replaced, we will definately know who to call. Everyone at the office and at the house was very courteous. Highly recommeded!

As so many individuals have found, C. L. Wright Roofing is an excellent company and when you do business with them, you get not only a professional and high qualify job, but excellent customer service. Charles Wright and his wife, Joanne, as well as their employees are great, they know their business, do an excellent job and charge a reasonable price. This is the second time I have used Wright Roofing and they didn't disappoint. They did the work on schedule, did the necessary preparation work (blocked and painted), installed everything very nicely, made a slight modification I wanted and excellent job of clean up. If you are considering any roof work or gutters or even an attic fan, I strongly suggest you check with C. L. Wright Roofing. The qualify of their work is tops and their price quite reasonable. I highly recommend them and definitely would do business with them again.

Because my wife and I had once had a very bad experience with a roofing contractor in Northern Virginia, we were naturally a little apprehensive about what would happen this time. We specifically asked in advance whether the company uses illegal immigrants to do the work. Mr. Wright said no, but he was honest enough to add that in his opinion, the roofing business could not survive without foreign labor. And, in fact, the two men assigned to our job were both Hispanic, one of whom spoke enough English to answer our questions. Both men worked hard over the three days required to complete the job. They did not damage any of our trees or bushes -- one of the issues we were worried about. Mrs. Wright had cautioned us that replacing the skylights might cause some damage to interior plaster, and this did happen, although it was minor. Under the contract, the company was not responsible for this damage. To the company's credit, the job foreman (who came to our house on the first day of work before the crew arrived) brought with him some sheets of plastic to help collect dust and debris in the attic. Per Mrs. Wright's advice, we had already laid out some sheets ourselves, but the additional sheets were most helpful. We were also grateful that the crew was able to repair a defect in the garage roof after the old shingles had been removed -- a defect we did not know about. The company only charged us $40 for the additional materials. Mrs. Wright stayed in touch with us prior to the job to let us know how changes in the weather were affecting scheduling of the work. As it turned out, the timing was perfect; all three days were clear. As for cleanup, the crew did a nice job. They even cleaned the leaves off our gutter guards.
