BLT Kitchen & Bath

BLT provided two fast tracked kitchen remodels in our rental properties in one of our markets. They removed the old cabinets/countertops, installed new cabinets, installed new quartz countertops, provide new kitchen faucet, replumbed sink, and reinstalled our appliances. All in two working days! Very efficient. Our staff and residents were thrilled with the results. BLT performed a full kitchen remodel for us. Overall, we were very happy with the result and the price, though the process was a bit longer and more painful than we were led to believe initially Pros: 1. They did it 10k cheaper than the next closest competitor and that was with new cabinets, not just refurb or painting that others offered in their estimates 2. Work quality was fantastic. Everything was correct and exactly as we envisioned. 3. They gave us feedback on design choices to help us avoid design pitfalls without pushing us into anything we were uncomfortable with 4. When issues came up, BLT ate the cost and stuck to their original estimate. They did not nickel and dime us. Cons: 1. The process was a lot longer than initially promised. We were told 5 days from Demo to completion, while the actual timeline was more like 6 weeks, including 2 full weeks with no sink or appliances that found us washing dishes in the bathtub. 2. Communication was often lacking. We were not always clear on when workers were coming over, and had trouble getting questions answered from the project manager. Overall, I would recommend BLT. They did quality work at an extremely reasonable price. While the process was not what we had hoped for, we will have the kitchen for years to come and are very happy with the final result. I do think the process problems were due to them taking on our project during a period of high growth and that they will improve.

Overall we had a good experience working with BLT kitchen and bath remodeling and their subcontractors Counter-vations. Our original consultant Rochelle went above and beyond from anyone else we interviewed before signing with this company. She spent more time with us in our first consultation than 4 other companies combined. She made suggestions for the layout and really helped my vision come to life. The owner Bob was very hands on and helped ease my fears taking on this enormous finance and project. I can not say enough how wonderful the work Counter-vations provided. The crew was always respectful, professional, and did amazing work. Communication between the design company, the subcontractors and myself did have some let downs and I felt that we didn’t always have a plan for the day to day and what to expect. There were some problems with the renovation making it go much longer than originally estimated. However, when problems did arise solutions were found and overall we were happy with everything. I am in love with the final product.

12 weeks later the job is still not complete. They started tiling without a shower pan installed. Painting the room when not ready. Have holes in my walls and the floor, plumbing fixtures not installed. Asked countertop installers if they were going to install fixtures and they said no sir the plumber will, Tunde is saying I wouldn’t let them and that a lie. I was suppose to get a custom vanity 73” in length instead last minute change three standard cabinets and two fillers, the custom tall cabinet that was also to be built last minute change to a standard cabinet. Tiling is not completed, toilet not installed and can’t until tiling is completed and that cannot until shower pan and shower are complete. Recessed light not installed, outlets not completed sanding not completed, painting not completed and I have given them $15,400. I told them I just want a refund of $8000 so that I can pay the new professional procured to finish their incomplete job
