The estimate turned out fine. The person that came out did follow up and he was the most attentive. The bid they gave us was the highest that we received.

89-Paint ? we will never use anyone else! We had several rooms painted including ceilings. Customer service was excellent. They provided an interior decorator to help us with color selections and they were ALWAYS on time and friendly. The completed work was perfect and our home was left as neat and clean as it was when they arrived. Bottom line ? a professional job, done by professionals at a reasonable price. Bravo 89 Paint! And a big thanks to Ethan.

There were some problems with supervision and the final walk-through. Their was price was decent but the service was only average/almost below average.

Overall it went extremely well. I was able to schedule a consultation very easily, and the rep. arrived right on time and gave me a estimate very quickly. The service came with a free color consultation to help pick the proper colors. Once the work was scheduled, the workers were prompt, did the work efficiently and kept my house very clean in the process. 89-Paint was very receptive and able to accommodate my last second changes. Once the main job was done, they came back out to my house to do a follow up and came back twice for final touch ups. Overall I was very satisfied and would use them again in the future.

89 paint gave us a fair price, came when they scheduled, were careful and professional, communicated well on the job and from the office and were prompt with touch up and final inspection. We would recommend them to anyone and will use them again. They are our painting contractors for as long as they continue to perform as they did this time. We have actively recommended them to our our historic church for exterior work it needs. ,

First off, let me start by saying that 89-Paint has exceeded all of our expectations. They are hands down a fantastic company. In fact, I have personally known Ethan for over a decade and he is the nicest, most down to earth guy you will ever meet. His employee's are always professional, courteous, and on time. Whenever we need painting done, they are the first company we call. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for only the best.

On May 21, 2012, 89 Paint caulked open joints, painted trim and shutters on my 2-story home. After the caulk dried, it was darker than the color of the siding. The coordinator asked me to wait until the caulking had cured to see if it would lighten in color. He emailed on May 30th (initial follow-up) and I informed him that the color had not changed. On June 28th, I emailed him (since I had not received a follow-up) and requested that he call me so we could bring closure to this job. He responded on July 2nd and again on July 7th. On July 12th he promised he would call to schedule a time to meet - he did not. On July 24th, he contacted me by email and requested to return on July 26th to apply samples of paint color. After several attempts they could not get a correct color match (I was assured they could prior to agreeing to this process), it was decided that they would have to paint the entire exterior. They returned on August 21, 2012 to paint the exterior, it rained before they could finish. The coordinator expressed his concern that the heavy downpour would wash away the last portion that was painted. They left before the rain ended. I contacted him by email on August 23, 2012 and informed him that the rain had washed away the paint on the side of the house that was last pained (this consisted of approximately 15 boards). A month has passed and I have not returned heard from 89 Paint.

Visited on 6/28 to provide estimate on painting interior. Advised my husband he would email estimate, still have not received estimate and decided to go with another contractor.

Overall our experience was excellent with 89 Paint. Our contact person, Jason Sapp, was very professional and knowledgable about this job. He was punctional on the day he came to give us an estimate and the job was started within two weeks. He communicated throughtout the whole project and never left us in the dark. At the completion of the project there were a few areas we thought needed some touching up and it was done promptly. We were very pleased and the job was better than expected. The only dissappointing thing was some paint drips, brush marks, and a paint "footprint" that dried on our asphalt driveway outside of the garage. Maybe next time some more tarps could be put down to protect ones personal property. I am sure over time the paint drips, etc. will weather away.

These guys were great! Needed to paint the exterior of my home to cover a really sick pea green color the previous owner put on. I needed to get it done quickly...weather was on the verge of being too cold to paint. They scheduled quickly, wasted no time on the job, did a wonderful job, were very pleasant to work with and gave me a great price (I had about 6 estimates.) I highly recommed them! I'll be painting the entire inside of my house within the next few months and will be calling them again.

Very pleased with the work that Jeff and his crew did. The process was painless and the results were excellent. The crew was very nice and they cleaned up at the end of the day. The workmanship was excellent. I received 4 estimates and their estimate was very close to being the lowest (2nd lowest). I would highly recommend these guys!!!

Apparently some have had a good experience with this company. I have not. Requested an appointment for an estimate online and heard nothing. Submitted a second request after a reasonable wait and received a contact right away. Met with a representative and a carpenter on Friday, November 11, 2011 for about two hours. I received an estimate on almost everything except the carpentry work. I indicated the estimate as far as I was provided was acceptable and within the range of what I was expecting the work to cost. I was told I would receive an email the following Wednesday with the estimate for the carpentry work so I would have the full estimated cost for the job available before proceeding. I have never heard from this company again. Because of having a great deal of work done, I felt I needed to work with a company I would not have to beg to communicate with me. Based on my negative experience with 89-Paint, I made the decision to subscribe to Angie's List. Thankfully, I was able to find a much more responsive company to work with.

Jon came in and gave us the estimate. We figured out what colors we liked and then he did everything else. They were clean, professional and the job looks fantastic. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

They came on time and painted 2 of my bedrooms. They were professional and cleaned up well too.

We used a Groupon to initially pay for the services. That is factored into the spend amount. If we actually got the total value of the Groupon as advertised, the spend would have been more like $800. (We had checked out Angie's list before purchasing the Groupon.) He came out and spoke with my wife about the work and the charges that would be included above the Groupon. My wife liked him from the start and agreed to give him the work. The workers arrived on time and worked late, but the owner who did the estimating did not do the work himself. The workers (2) did not finish that day but scheduled to come back within our availability the next evening and finished up. The work all looks very well done. There was slight damage to an old piece of furniture that the workmen moved (without disassembling) due to its weight and sliding it along the carpet. The workmen were very friendly. They communicated with us as well as they could, but English was not their first language. They may have tried to cover up the furniture damage by replacing the furniture with the piece in place. Since the damage could be hidden and it was not an important piece (will likely be disposed of when we next remodel), we chose to let it go and not ask the owner to make any adjustments when he asked about it.

The entrance to the house had white painted wallpaper that was beginning to crack and flake off in a few places. The wallpaper seams were visible in other spots. Casey, the sales rep. and manager, told me that the cost of the job would double if they removed all of the wallpaper. Apparently wallpaper can be a real nuisance to remove if a lot of glue has been used to attach it to the wall. A cheaper solution, Casey said, would be to patch up the rough spots and paint over the wallpaper. He said that contractors sometimes apply wallpaper if there are cracks or other problems with the underlying plaster. In my case, he would be referring to the contractors from 1960, the year in which this house was built. Casey also painted samples of the colors that I had chosen on patches around the house. The patches were roughly 8" by 8". The bedroom trim looked too dark, so I chose something lighter. The bathroom color was too yellow, so I chose something more neutral. His practice of painting samples ahead of the final job is a good idea. On the back of the contract under Customer Responsibilities there is a section about the customer being responsible for moving furniture except for large items such as sofas and beds. The customer agrees to pay the contractor $55 per man-hour if the customer does not do this. Casey told me that since I did not have a lot of furniture, they could help me move furniture at no extra charge. He said that sometimes they show up at houses were it takes hours to move furniture, so that's why they have that section in the contract. I was able to move everything. The painters arrived ahead of time (6:50 AM), two guys from El Salvador. Casey showed up at 7:05. I had told them that the 7 AM starting time was all right with me. One painter spoke very little English; the other guy had been in the United States for 18 years and did speak English. On the first day, a third guy (from the US) did lead paint testing. They told me to leave the house while this was going on. I arrived back to plastic strips across the front and back door saying something like, "Danger: Lead Paint Removal." They also did painting prep. on the same day and painted the wood surrounding the exterior of the front door. On the second day, Saturday, they finished everything in eleven hours. They obviously did not want to come back on Sunday, but Martin, the guy who spoke English, told me that they would come back on Sunday if they needed to (assuming it was all right with me). Casey asked me if everything was all right after the job was done. They painters had missed painting eight stair railings. I noticed an alligator type of pattern on the front door and places where the painted wallpaper was "bubbling up" from below. Casey and Martin returned on Tuesday to take care of these problems. There is still a place very close to the front door where there is a bubble. Martin had applied a glue to that spot and it didn't work, but the other places are fine. The job comes with a two-year warranty, and the spot is not very visible. I'll just keep my eye on it and get back to them if I need to. Casey said that the customer stays with the same manager during the job for the sake of continuity. Nothing has to be explained to a new manager. He is clearly concerned with making sure the customer is pleased, and for this reason I give 89PAINT an A.

They did an excellent job. They were here on time and they cleaned up. They were very nice and polite. They made the whole house painting experience very pleasant. They had a 5 percent discount for using Angie's List and they gave me the 5 percent on all the work. I would absolutely use them again.

Overall, it was great. They were probably the most professional of all of them in terms of the estimate process but they were also the most expensive. They were a big company with lots of contractors and professional sales people in the whole nine yard. They were kind of a top end of the groups that I was looking at. They were incredibly thorough. It was a free estimate. I ultimately did not choose them. They did a great job. They called me to follow up and emailed me. They were what I would expect from the professional sales person and he did a great job. Their price was right but because they were such a big company, they had overheads and I don't think that they would ever be able to compete with the smaller company that I hired. The company that I have hired is doing a fantastic job and they are equally responsive.

The project manager stopped by every day to check on the crew and see what we thought. They were very responsive to our questions and their painters did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves.

Overall, the job was good. They were very conscientious and hard-working. They came in and started working. There was a very large amount of work that I was having done downstairs and in the master bedroom upstairs, and they helped plan it out so that it was the least disruptive. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I contacted 89 Paint about staining and painting a new fiberglass front door assembly I had recently installed. Their sales representative Jason contacted me and we scheduled for him to look at job. He arrived at the appointment time and we discussed the project. He took information and within a few days submitted a detailed estimate. I wanted to change a few things on the estimate and we were able to make those changes and he submitted another estimate which we agreed on. We schedule to perform job and his painters and himself showed up on time, at which time he reviewed scope with his painters. The painters immediately started their process. The job took 2 days and both days the painters were there they were courteous and very professional. I would definitely use them again.

89-Paint did a fabulous job! From the start to finish I couldn't be happier! They did a very good job! Very timely and professional ! I couldn't be happier!
