The decking people were great. The guys that put in the walkway were good but we felt we had to stay on them. They had to come back twice to fix things. We dealt with John who is an excellent salesman. He was great in getting us to sign up right away. However, after the work was done we never heard from him again. I tried to contact him various times and he never answered us. I finally had to deal with the owner.

Everything was excellent. We now have the finest looking chimney in the cul-de-sac. I have no hesitation in recommending American Masonry Services (of Falls Chuirch, VA) for chimney repair and maintenance. They are efficient, skilled and above all, reasonable in costs

I contracted with American Masonry based on cost and favorable information on previous work they had done. I also viewed the presentation they have of some of their work on their website. The bottom line for me was the quality of the work they did for me. They are very knowledgeable about working on historical properties and how to achieve appropriate matching for old brickwork. They were able to obtain used brick for the patio to create a weathered effect on my patio work. I found them to be very easy to work with and am happy to give them high marks all around.

I had scheduled an estimate with American Masonry. We had an appointment scheduled in which the rep did not show up. I waited about 30 minutes after the set time and then called to check the delay. The informed me that it was raining and he was not able to come out in the rain. This may be understandable, however he did have my phone number and chose not to call to tell me he would not be coming. I was very disappointed and chose not to use this company.

Mr. Honeycutt and crew arrived around 7:00 am each day. The job was completed in approximately 2 1/2 days. Despite Mr. Honeycutt being in a leg cast, he oversaw each day's work. A few days after the work was completed, we noticed the wrought iron handrail was not thoroughly anchored. It was resolved by American Masonry in less than 24 hours.

From the get go, they had all the bases covered. Jack clearly explained the proposed work and followed up promptly with a written proposal. They proposed 3 to 4 days to complete the work. My concerns were for dust control and the possibility for collateral damage to our old metal roof. The first thing they did was set up scaffolding at the side of the house and bridge over to the chimney at the ridge, thus eliminating any traffic on the roof slope. Next, they set-up a plastic tent in the basement and sealed all the chimney openings. American Masonry provided all materials and equipment, as well as labor, to complete the work. Their crews were well disciplined and worked very efficiently. It was heavy dirty work. They made it look easy. All debris was removed and they left the site clean. Everything went as scheduled. We can now keep the furnace running with thermostat set back and burn the wood stove for extra comfort.
