Working with SciFi could not have been better. It was the only contractor in the area willing to take on the entire project of installing propane tank, running a gas line and connecting a new range, and installing a generator for my home. Marshall, Steve, and the crew did an excellent job, What made working with them such a positive experience was the timely communications about every aspect of the project. Due to the pandemic, the generator was backordered; but, because they kept me up to date, there were no surprises. SciFi shows a clear commitment to doing quality work and customer service. I highly recommend SciFi, and will gladly call on them again.

If it were possible I would give SciFiHomes 10 stars for the work they did installing my Cummins generator. Before the work even started Tony and Marshall were willing to talk at length with my family members explaining the project and the contract in detail. Once the installation began, the crew worked efficiently and carefully, minimizing the disturbance to my yard and 200 year old log house. Tony explained the operation of my beautiful new generator to me once it was installed and assured me that I could call him or Marshall at any time with questions. So now I can face any weather forecast with confidence, thanks to my Cummins generator, Tony and Marshall and the entire SciFi crew!

Tony, Mashall and Steve were all very professional and knowledgeable. They patiently answered all my questions and always returned my calls, came when they said they would and stayed on schedule. It was cold, windy and snowing when they installed my generator. Their policy is, if the roads are open they work. I would definatly recomend them

Very flexible and easy to work with. I hired them for a project at my WV home, which is an hour away from their hq. They braved their way up my unimproved road during the middle of winter, after their van wasn't able to make it up a very steep hill covered in ice. Also, when none of the other propane providers in my area were willing to deliver and set up four 120 gal tanks for my generator, these guys got it done. They are very friendly and very professional. They know their stuff. I was trained on my Cummins generator in 20 minutes. I recommend them.

They completed work on schedule despite some bumps in the project. Reached out to our solar installer to insure there were no conflicts between the two systems. Inconvenience to us (power outage) was explained in adavance and kept to a minimum.

I interviewed 5 companies for this job. SciFi Homes had the lowest price and the best product, a Cummins. This project was completed 4 months ago, and we've lost power several times since. The generator has operated exactly as it is supposed to. In addition, the installation was done very cleanly. You can tell they take pride in their work. Would definitely recommend them.

Marshall and Tony are the owners of SciFiHomes Inc and do all of the work themselves. They are knowledgeable, professional and highly responsive...24/7. They kept me informed of their schedule and did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. You can't ask for anything more of a business or a contractor. If you need an emergency generator, these are the people you can count on to do a superb job.

Very clean installation, done on schedule. They even cleaned up some issues with the existing two 200-amp electrical panels (now sub-panels).

Our old Generac home generator had died and we received several estimates for a new home generator. We decided to go with SciFiHomes, Inc. based on the fact that they could install a Cummins industrial/military grade generator into residential homes. The real selling points were that we would be receiving a high grade generator that is extremely quiet compared to the competition. Tony and Marshall are Master electricians who are ultimate professionals in customer service. They were punctual in their visits (initial site estimate, install, and inspection) and thoroughly explained how the process would unfold. As Master electricians, Tony and Marshall are extremely meticulous and I've never seen a more cleanly wired electrical panel box. During the install they noticed that the top cover to the generator had a slight scratch/dent from the delivery. They said it was under warranty and would order a new top cover. I told them it was minor and that they didn't need to, but they still followed through and came out later to install the new pristine cover. These two guys are throwbacks to another era, who pride themselves in customer service. They're definitely not the traditional "in and out" contractors you normally deal with in northern Virginia. Because of this, I'm contracting them for all my annual service maintenance. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality workmanship of SciFi Homes, and even more importantly, the quality and quietness of a Cummins home generator!

I bought a home that had an old breaker panel with wires everywhere and an extra breaker panel added for the HVAC. Tony and Marshall combined the two old breaker panels into a new breaker panel that was switchable for a generator. The replacement included installing a a new switchable breaker panel, a sub-panel so I would have extra breaker spots, all new breakers and a connection to plug in a generator outside the house so I wouldn't have to run extension cords. They arrived when they said they would and the work was well done and has had no issues. The only thing I wish they had done that in no way detracts from the excellent work they did would have been to confirm the existing labels on the breakers . I would definitely recommend them.

Ditto to what Jerry D. said. I had 22KW Cummins installed. I haven't had a power outage since, but the auto tests have occurred without incident. Great guys and great service.

These two guys are the best! We had a Cummins 20K generator installed just in time for several short power outages. Tony and Marshall were punctual and efficient. They completed the project on schedule and instructed us on the operation of the equipment. Should the need for like services ever occur in the future we would definitely use them again.
