Description of Work: This plumbing contractor replaced a tank hot water heater with a tankless unit, replaced an older sump pump with a new unit and a battery backup system, and enlarged an outside drain to handle rain water runoff. The work was performed well and with great customer service. The contractor's price was a little high, but the customer service more than made up for the slightly extra cost.

Description of Work: Joey Snider reviewed all crawl space vents, exterior spigots, and water valves to prevent frozen pipes. Later, one of his plumbers repaired a toilet, insulated an opening, and replaced an exterior faucet. All work was handled well and professionally.

+ 0 moreThe plumbers who respond are not only professional, but highly personable. I've used them for this project, to put a tub in my 1/2 bath in the basement, and when I had a plumbing emergency. I would not use any other plumber at this point. Kudos also to the fact that they are dog-friendly! As for this review, when I purchased my home in August 2010, the then-current homeowner had Snider put in an anti-bacterial light and whole-house filter. The house is on well water and - rather than dumping chlorine into the well for sterilization - the homeowners had the light and filter system installed. I'm not familiar with prices, but the price seemed a little high, but well worth the peace of mind knowing the UV light system kills over 99% of the bacteria. Another great side effect - no chlorine taste or smell from chlorine in the well, and no need to figure out when and how much chlorine to apply.
Description of Work: Replaced UV antibacterial light and whole-house water filter.

+ -1 moreI have used J.R. Snider several times and they are consistently professional and personable. I had a 1/2 bath in my basement with what appeared to be a rough-in for a tub drain. Mr. Snider came out and provided an estimate on the spot. I had two other plumbers do the same. One was several hundred dollars more, and one never provided the estimate - they simply disappeared off the face of the earth after visiting. Snider's price was much less than I had anticipated. My only complaint was the low-quality shower/tub spigot and control handle. I actually went out to the local super store and bought my own pieces to put on in place of what Snider provided. Granted, however, I told Snider I wanted the tub for a low price and they delivered.
Description of Work: Rough-in of a bathtub, including placing bathtub, adapting drain in basement floor, and rough-in of shower and tub plumbing.

Description of Work: We were without hot water. Our water heater was over sixteen years old and a propane, power vent system. I had tried some other plumbers but the LPG and power vent system seemed to be a problem, requiring up to a week to obtain. I called J R Snider, the operator took some notes. set up an appointment in about two hours. Their plumber was here in an hour and a half. Gave me option of repair or replace. He was able to give me an installed price. The replacement water heater was here in about an hour, and after about five hours since my call to J R Snider, the w/h was installed and we were enjoying hot water again.
