My wife and I decided to do a full tear down of our current kitchen. We got multiple estimates but decided on Quest due to our previous experience and the fact that their estimate was considerably less than other companies. Furthermore, Ryan has always gone above and beyond for us on previous jobs and friends/family have never had issues with the company either. I won?t go too far into details, just the main items, but unfortunately the home was originally not built particularly well and we were concerned about the weight of a large granite island (8x4) on the floors. The floor joists are spaced 24? apart and we didn?t want the floors to sag. Ryan told me they could re-enforce the floors (basement is unfinished) and I was shocked at how well they increased the support, and how detailed the work was done. It completely removed all the bounce from the kitchen floors. One of the most complicated items we ran into was removing soffits from our ceiling. We had three and it made the kitchen feel closed in. We talked to and visited other neighbors who had done remodels with the same model home and none of their contractors knew had to remove these soffits. Ryan was able to work with me to figure it out. This was a major task though, it entailed ripping out the whole ceiling, re-routing 3 large pipes from a bathroom above the kitchen, and then re-enforcing the floors around the new piping. Not to mention, while we were at it, we had to build out a soffit on the main wall to accommodate venting of a new chimney hood, no easy task here either. All throughout this, Ryan stayed calm, accommodated the additional/ad hoc requests, and didn?t try to take advantage of me by running up the price in the middle of a remodel. Now, with any home remodeling project, and I?ve done many at different homes, nothing every goes perfect and there are always hick ups along the way. So Despite Ryan?s best efforts, we still ran into some issues. I certainly don?t like delays or issues any more than the next person, but I feel it?s in these situations that you get a good feel of the type of contractor you?re working with. And, once again, Ryan impressed me by stepping up in these situations. He corrected every issue in a timely fashion to my satisfaction, and ate the cost on some items that were out of his control. A lot of contractors would have tried to charge me extra, or told me I was being too picky or difficult, or argued with me, I had no experiences like that with Ryan. In fact, he was texting with me many times late at night and on weekends. That type of commitment to his business was really impressive to me. I could go into more details, but bottom line, the kitchen came out beautiful. I think this is evidenced by the pictures that I?ve attached. My sister in law has already inquired with Ryan after visiting and neighbors have been amazed by the changes. Overall, I would highly recommend Quest and Ryan. Ryan takes his business very seriously and his company reputation means a lot to him. I kept asking him why I never see his advertisements in magazines, it turns out all his business comes from referrals. Evidently, other customers are as happy with him as we are. Once I save up some money, I?ll be calling Ryan again to finish off the basement for me.

Quest remodeling does an excellent job. Ryan is polite, knowledgeable, and delivers value for your money. I've completed several projects with Ryan; have a few that he's working on now; and a few more on the list. I would highly recommend Ryan and Quest Home Remodeling.

Everything went very well and looks great. Ryan the owner stayed engaged with us and answered all of our questions and concerns. His crews were very polite and doing an excellence job of cleaning up everyday.

They are the best company that I got from the list that I was looking at. They are very fast and very responsible. They gave me the quote within the next 2 days. They sent a whole crew to come and look at the house and do a lot of measurements on the second day. The next day, they gave me a call and provide me with the quote.

Ryan provided recommendations for shower details and recommended tile design for shower walls and floor that was perfect. He also suggested a 4" horizontal decorative tile strip and a marble topping for the shower base that really enhanced the look of the shower. Ryan upgraded the plumbing connections without additional cost. The new fan, which we provided, required some ceiling modifications that resulted in some increase in cost, but the costs were nominal. While we provided the paint, the paint job was excellent. We are using Quest for some additional outside work - a new porch and a drain to accommodate run-off to start soon.

Ryan was able to schedule a visit to evaluate the project right away. He makes himself available on weekends and will work around your schedule. Although his company specializes on roofs and windows, they also do a variety of jobs well. I know this was the case from the beginning because I spend some time reading about patios and decks before talking to him, and he knew all the requirements, options, and pro / cons of doing things a particular way. It is apparent that he takes his job serious and studies to focus on doing the best job. This is the best example of his professionalism. He returned an estimate to us within 3 days and the price was very fair. He and his crew started work within a week and made every effort to work unless the weather was really bad outside. They requested to work on weekends to make up for rainy days and get the work done on time. He supervises the work directly and does the job himself frequently. He uses the best materials and will even take pictures for you to know that the hidden work is done right. During the work, responsiveness is critical. Ryan can always be reached by phone. We have an 125 year old Capitol Hill row house, so there are a few surprises during the project. He will contact you for your opinion if a decision point or problem arises and present potential solutions. The quality of the work is apparent, I know things were done the right way by how nice things look and feel, but also assuring is that Ryan always keeps you in the loop during the project. I would hire him and Quest again without reservation and would recommend his company to others.

Excellent - no leaks or other issues for 2+ years.

The owner of Quest Home Remodeling, Ryan Doan, has been fantastic in every interaction I?ve had with him. He has worked on my roof and installed new gutters/gutter guards for me. The great part about Quest is that they perform multiple services and perform them very well. I?ve been so impressed with their work and prices that I plan on having Ryan install new windows, redo my deck, and possibly update my kitchen. I?m the kind of person who likes to always get multiple estimates on a job. In every situation, Ryan?s prices have come out better than competitors and he is always extremely honest about what makes the most sense. Like everybody else, I try to be very conscious of a budget for home repairs and upon discussing this with Ryan, he has actually talked me out of doing unnecessary upgrades that he didn?t feel was worthwhile. I was really surprised that he didn?t try to sell me on additional services and that he was honest enough to say ?save your money, it?s not worth it?. I really trust Ryan and feel like he takes care of his clients. I have spent a lot of time talking to Ryan about his staff and the quality of work they perform. I have even ventured into the reasons why Ryan has hired his work crews. This would ordinarily be considered prying, but Ryan was very graceful in answering the questions and explaining his staff?s level of experience and how he personally looks at an employee?s previous work before hiring them. Overall, I would 100% do business with Quest again and I?ve recommended them to friends who have used his services and been just as satisfied.

Ryan and his partner Chan were very helpful in explaining the process and were great at providing options for floor plans. The final plan met all our needs including our budget. We were provided with a contract and payment plan prior to the work beginning. Overall, our experience was positive with limited headaches. If there were any miscommunications, they met us half way and were fair in dealing with the issues. They were very attentive in answering questions and discussing any concerns or questions in detail with us. They even responded to e-mails on a Sunday (late evening)! If a worker did not complete something to the Ryan or Chan's satisfaction, they were personally at our home completing or fixing things to their expectation. They were attentive and dedicated to the job from start to finish. Overall, this was a great experience and we are extremely happy with our addition. We would and will hire them again in the future.
