Description of Work: The company's estimate to complete the work that I wanted done was much higher than I expected, so I had them remove rose bushes and do some weeding instead. AJ and his crew did a great job with these tasks, but I was disappointed by the high estimate provided to me by the company.

Description of Work: They did a very good job of removing thick English ivy, however, there was an issue with the way in which they filled some holes in the yard. Specifically, they used broken cement pieces and rock along with some dirt from their truck when we asked them specifically to use only soil.

Description of Work: Yard winter clean up, pruning of shrubs and small trees, lawn edging and distribution of 1000 sq ft of premium mulch. Cleaned up and removed all debris. AJ and his crew arrived when promised and immediately went to work thoroughly and diligently. My wife and I spoke with them as work progressed and we thought of things we hadn't thought of earlier. They were courteous, understanding, patient and helpful-- even making suggestions about things we didn't think of or believed might be beyond the scope of the contract. When they drove off that afternoon, they left beyond a beautiful landscape -- much better than we expected or could have hoped. The team worked hard to produce those results and AJ's leadership and guidance were evident throughout. To say that we were pleased is an understatement; we were elated!

Description of Work: Envirogrow took my list of spring yard clean up help requests and sent a team ready to work through everything. The team was prompt, courteous and willing to do the tasks on the list as well as the additional requests I made after they arrived. Everything looked good enough during our walk through at the end of the day, but the next weekend when I returned to garden, I found a lot of leaves still inside the bushes and weeds coming through the mulch faster than I could keep up (even though I had requested pre-emergent weed killer on all the beds). The edges they dug were a bit uneven and instead of planting the grass seed, they spread it on top of the dirt, so none of it grew. They were responsive when I called and gave me a slight discount on my overall bill, but next time we will hire someone whose work will be better than what we can do on our own.

Description of Work: By the time they came out the weather had changes to cold and was not conducive to growing new grass. They also did not do what I originally ordered and then tried to bill me for work I had not authorized. Work crew appeared to be unorganized and anxious to finish and leave. I waited until Spring to see it new grass appeared but very little did. Have hired a new company.

Description of Work: Spring clean up of my front and back yards. I have a townhouse. They were very responsive and did an excellent job. I plan to use them again.

Description of Work: The team was tasked with a spring clean out of my back yard (townhouse)which was full of weeds and tree volunteers. They were efficient in the clean-up. My only concern was that they did nothing to remove the roots of these weeds and so they were back the following week. They did however do what I asked them to do so I have no complaints. They could have gotten future business if they had communicated how they could stop the weeds from coming back.

What they did was fine but they were asked to leave the residual and we don't know whether the absence of any residual where we told them to place it was because there was no residual or because they made off with the residual, because they didn't communicate anything.

Description of Work: Aerated and overseeded our lawn in the fall. This spring and summer we have really be able to see results of what they did in the fall. I'd use them again.

Description of Work: They were a little too quick & were ready to leave without asking where I wanted the lawn seeded. So I had to stop & ask if they had done certain parts. I really don't blame them for the poor results. The Va. soil is horrible plus the weeds seem to take over before the grass grows. Now I am working on the lawn & it is a real challenge. So don't judge by what happened with me. I sprayed the tree box with Weed Killer & it was just weeds. Therefore I dug up the whole thing, removed the stones & trash & planted grass seed. It is coming up, but daily, I have to weed.
