CCI WOOD FLOORING SPECIALISTS

Terrible. Sweet talker, Betty Crocker. Takes money and does a terrible job installing and refinishing wood floors. Initially I declined his quote as he kept trying to talk me into getting wood that I did not want. Finally he found the wood size I wanted. He had two stains from which to select. Natural STAIN and gunstock STAIN. Nothing else. We picked natural. Gunstock was too red. I asked him if he could lighted the natural stain. He said yes by using a water based STAIN. I Google water based stains and noticed that they show lighter than oil. So I thought great! A good water based stain that would be slightly lighter than oil. Not what we got. He simply put 5 clear coat of poli. He did not have us approved the new color before it went down. He said I approve water based STAIN. I did not approve CLEAR. I assumed it was STAIN and not clear. The floor looked green and grey. Ugly. I told him we wanted it fixed. He said he needed to ask his stain guy for advice and that they would come by to see if they could fix it. 4 days passed. He lied. Never came by. Our other contractor was here 8-8pm. Never saw him. Then he said for 1200 I can put an ambering oil on top. This was supposed to eliminate the green tone and darken it to a more amber look. He said he did a screen and coat. The floors look horrible. They are amber in some places. Green in others. You can see circular sanding marks from the screening. He barely screed the floors and did it improperly. They are splotchy because more oil was soaked up than other. He said it was wood grain. Lie. They are gritty to the touch. And he did not touch the stairs because I put down scotch tape as a test. Crap job. Sweet talker. Rushes jobs. Little selection. Now I have to pay $4500 to fix it. The new contractor noted that the job was terrible.

You get what you pay for. We had CCI refinish our hardwood floors throughout our house. They were very reasonably priced, but the work was very sloppy. Urethane was dripped on our carpeted stairs, and they got the wood stain on the baseboards and other random spots throughout the house. When we pointed out the stains on the carpet to Mr. Stallings, he initially denied what the urethane stain on the carpet was caused by his workers. Later he tried to remove the stain and ended up making a bigger stain on the carpet (on this occasion, a worker actually entered our house without permission). When we pointed out the spots on the baseboards and the stair spindles, he said that you should expect to have to repaint after you get your floors refinished. We also paid extra for custom wood vent covers that were installed on the floor. We were told that these vents would have a damper feature. However, when they installed them there were no dampers, it was just a vent cover. Mr. Stallings said that there's nothing we can do about it even though we had paid for a functioning dampers. Overall, very bad experience.

We just moved into a new house and decided to replace the carpet in the master bedroom with wood flooring to match the rest of the house. We were already installing a fireplace in the room and the general contractor provided us with CCI as a potential option for installing the floor. The owner, Jimmy Stallings, worked with us initially and was very creative in giving us ideas on design. We had originally planned to match the existing floor in design and color, but due to the larger size of the room Jimmy suggested other designs. He had a good sense of style not only in the basic floor design but also border options and the side hallway leading into closets. The price was reasonable compared to wood floorings we had installed in other houses and because of his creative ideas and follow through we did not pursue other suppliers for bids. Jimmy gave us a cost estimate for different options showing us where we could reduce cost including shipping. His crew did an excellent job. They were professional and we soon realized very experienced. We were bit nervous about the herringbone since we had not installed that design in the past but it looked great from the basic flooring to the border trim to the final coatings. The stain matched perfectly with the other wood flooring in the house. Jimmy called frequently during the 3 to 4 day work period as follow up. We have received many many compliments on the flooring and would highly recommend CCI to others.

It went well. CCI is our go to floor guys. Jimmy and all of his crew are terrific. We have used them to install floors in our house, refinish floors and repair floors. Highly recommended.

They were very prompt in coming out very quickly and getting everything done very quickly. They were easy to deal with. The quality of the work wasn’t what I had hoped for, though. The floors have areas where the wood isn’t nailed down properly and it bounces and moves around. I think there need to be some repair work done, and it’s only been a few months. I would use them again only if they come out and do the repair. I am yet to contact them for that.

They were immediately available and got going in a very short period of time. I was under a time crunch. They did a decent job. There were probably a few things that I complained about. However, all in all I think they did a pretty good job for the money that I spent.

All the workers were professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, kind, and all were very hardworking. There really isn't anything else to say; they were terrific.
