After several attempts they finally appeared for an estimate. A rough estimate was given and later finalized. The cost was over $6000. Discussions occurred about how the job was to be performed in terms of the pour. I provided a picture of what we wanted and they suggested how to do it. The permit papers require the contractor’s name and license number. When at the county permit center I was informed that if I solely applied for the permit I would be liable for the entire job to include all code requirements, inspections and any injuries on my property. The county person stated that the contractor should be on the paperwork. When I contacted Mr. Camporeale, the estimator he became agitated that they had to become involved. In reality it seemed he was upset that his company would be held accountable for their own work. While I was still at the office he contacted me again saying he had spoken with an associate and they were withdrawing their name from the bid. Here yet is another instance of a contractor wanting the job/money but also attempting to avoid having to be responsible for any problems, violations or quality of work. I checked their website and although they may be I did not see any sign of being bonded. Do not allow any contractor on your property that isn’t responsible enough to carry a bond. A bond is for your protection not his and not having one is a red flag that he is not looking out for your interests despite the fact that he is in your employment. The business card for Timberlake Contracting, LLC states “Dog house to a High-Rise”. Heaven help the poor dog.

We have used Timberlake Contracting LLC. The job overall went exceptionally well. From start to finish they were friendly, cordial and punctual. They finished under budget and early. The owner was always there, great communicator. Everything about it was great.
