Just trying to get an appointment scheduled with a lady named April who answers the phone was so tedious and wasted so much of my time that I decided to request a refund and not take my chances with this company. The phone was unattended for days at a time, voice messages and emails were not answered, very unprofessional way to do business.
Description of Work: I purchased a deal on Angie's List for two hours of electrical work at about $170 with the plan to use the time to get my new TV mounted on the wall. The deal mentioned specifically that was one possible use so I was hopeful.

 + 0 moreJames was punctual, thoughtful, courteous and thorough. He listened carefully to the breaker panel problem symptoms, verified them and clearly laid out his recommended plan of action. He explained what he found, answered all our questions and did the agreed upon work. He also provided some insightful recommendations on lighting and about living in a house with aluminum wiring. This is the first time we have worked with Seven Hills Electrical. Based on this experience, I plan to call on them install new outlets and circuits for an upcoming renovation project.
Description of Work: Inspected 1970's electrical panel and replaced one known-bad breaker (which would not stay "off") and the other breakers of same age. Installed new light fixture and smoke detector.

 + -1 moreAfter not one, not two, but three unsuccessful service calls from an inept appliance repair company, the home warranty company scheduled Seven Hills Electric to come out and take a look. The owner Bruce ARRIVED ON TIME and FIXED THE PROBLEM IN UNDER 5 MINUTES WITHOUT PARTS! He was friendly and took the time to offer free advice on some other electrical questions I had. He also told me he gives free estimates. I will absolutely call him for my next electrical issue!

 + 0 moreI had a few electricians come out to bid on putting 5 LED under cabinet lights in our kitchen. Seven Hills was very responsive and I received a bid at the end of my (free) consultation. Matt Woodson promptly came up with a solution for our lighting needs that no other electrician had considered and his bid was in-line or better than others. We couldn't be happier with the way the LED lights (not LED tape) look. Work was completed within several hours and the workmanship was impeccable. He was even able to add a dimmer switch and another light which we hadn't thought of adding until that day. Both Matt and his assistant were very professional and cleaned up after the job was done. I would definitely hire them again!

 + -1 more"Super" They did all this in 1 1/2 hours.
Description of Work: They fix six outlets. Replaced one outlet which fixed two that were on that breaker. Then they followed the wires under the house to find out why two bathrooms and the deck outlets were not working. They determined all that was needed was to turn off the blue reset button and turn it back on to fix those. They were "Great". I purchased the 2 hrs of service for $171.00 from Angie's list and I only paid an additional $20.00. I would recommend them everyday.

Description of Work: Virginia Power showed up at my house one day and said they needed to replace my meter. I told them to go ahead. Shortly thereafter the Virginia Power employee started to leave with my meter in tow. I stopped him, and he told me that he could not replace my meter because the meter base was shot and must be replaced before he could replace. I told him to go ahead replace it. He then informed me that I had to hire an electrician to do it. They would provide the base but I must hire the electrician. I called several electricians, who all told me a week or more before they could come (I had no electricity at this point). Seven Hills said the could send an electrician that day. The electrician, Matt arrived but could not replace the base right away because VA Power had not properly disconnected the service. It wound up taking a total of 7 days to get it fix and get the power back on, but I blame all that on VA Power. This service did what they were supposed to do in as timely a manor as they could considering VA Power's failures.

He worked quickly and efficiently explaining everything he was doing and why. Due to the height and the incline, I ended up paying almost $300 to have the fan installed. Still a great buy with a professional company that stands behind the service.

 + 1 moreGreat. Bruce and his son Caleb Arrived in the morning and worked throughout the day. Bruce kept us informed of everything he was doing and exhibited obvious pride in his craftsmanship. They installed the internet cable in a fashion that was far superior to what Comcast was willing to do. The fan was quickly installed and they figured out the issue that broke the second fan, and provided an easy work around to the problem. In short they showed up on time, did everything we wanted and did it well. They also helped us select a outside light that exceeded our expectations.
Description of Work: We had a laundry list of electrical issues that were the result of a home inspection. The list included checking faulty grounding, replacing a faulty GFCI and installing the correct breaker for the HVAC system. Additionally, we wanted additional internet cables installed, a ceiling fan installed, an exterior flood light replaced, a 50 amp circuit installed to power an RV electrical system and a second ceiling fan diagnosed as to why it suddenly stopped running.

 + -1 moreI have used him in the past. I called him over the holiday weekend and he was able to come out the day after memorial day. He was able to repair all five, and all five outlets were working when he left. That very night, three of the outlets stopped working so I called him back. Twice I called and he told me he would be out and he failed to show or call on both dates. I would just like my outlets working correctly and for him to actually show when he says he will. I will gladly change my rating if he actually shows up when he says he will and repairs the outlets correctly I initially paid him to do.
