I have used this company for two jobs. They were punctual and did a very nice job on both occasions.

The company took care of (2) GFCI, Replaced motion sensor on outside driveway lights, replaced old smoke dectector, found dangerous wiring methods in a heator/exhaust fan in bathroom. He corrected all the problems. Yes and Yes I would use this company again and try and request their technician James.

The Bad--Did not show up and received no phone call. To the employee of Mr. Electric- If you can't or don't want the work then say so. The Ugly--I then called the company back and talked to a girl who didn't seem to really know. Took down name and address and would have James call. Did not even apologize(A simple sorry would of helped). Customer Service Sucks along with a no show equals an F grade. Update: He didn't show up at all, and he should of called(I shouldn't of had to call) if he was confused. Price was an F due to his no show and not calling...Thanks but no Thanks.

The installation was great and my husband is very happy overall. My main issue was that the price went up more than $600 between the quote and the actual bill. He told me it might go up if it took him longer than he anticipated. I thought maybe $200.. I was shocked. But at that point the work was done. I won't use them again due to this issue.

Came out and gave me a prompt estimate. Really knew what he was doing. Came out when scheduled and performed all the work that needed to be done. Did an excellent job. Was very pleased with his work and advice he gave to me as a follow up. Went beyond the call of duty and made me a cable to convert my 3 prong generator to a 4 prong which was needed for the hook up.

Quick phone call describing task. Appointment made quickly, showed up on time, and professionally installed the fans. Very simple and efficient service.

Wonderful experience! Actually had two visits as they needed to obtain the underground wire and I had also decided to have installed a whole house surge protector. Also couple of outlets repaired, circuit breaker, and smoke alarm replaced. Both experiences were very professional and the technician was knowledgable and courteous. I was especially pleased with the initial prompt call back from Mr Electric and that appointments were kept and on time. I received a call both times telling me the technician was on his way.

The technician arrived on time and performed the work in a professional manner. He got a call that he had to go to another job before he had replaced the special covering I had purchased to cover the breaker box. He promised he would stop by the next afternoon to ensure the covering was hung properly which he did.

As a partial kitchen redesign, we were looking at adding recessed lighting in the main kitchen area, and move a hanging light from our vaulted ceiling breakfast area...to open the room and allow the addition of bar stools to go under the extended kitchen counter top. I looked on Angie's List, and contacted several highly recommended electrical contractors for estimates. Of the (4) estimates I received, I felt comfortable with the knowledge of James from Mr. Electric. He knew exactly what we were trying to do, and even added some suggestions. In addition, his pricing was very competitive...not the lowest, but not the highest either. We gave the job to Mr. Electric. On the day of the job, James pulled his back out, but came by (on the way to the doctor) to let us know that his counter part from the Charlottesville area (Bruce) was going to do the job. Inithis concerned us a bit, because we decided on Mr. Electric based on the meeting with James. We decided to go forward once Bruce got to the house. James stayed and explained the job to Bruce, and he started. Besides being a very nice guy, he did very good work. We decided on having (6) recessed lights installed (we were initially going to do only 5). Bruce removed our old lights, and proceeded to line up and cut out the holes for the recessed lights. They turned out looking great! He also made minimal holes to pull the wiring, which made it earlier for my drywall guy to fix. He also replaced the interior "can" of mypresent recessed light over my sink...to make them uniform. Bruce then moved our hanging kitchen light approx 12 inches down the angled ceiling, which would allow more space near the counter, so that we could add bar stools. Prior to getting up in the ceiling area, there was a concern that there may not be enough wiring available to move it down. There was, but he needed to add a special shhet rock internal bracket, since there was no 2 x 4 to attach. This was a $120 bracket, but since the hanging light project didn't take as long to complete, he did not charge me for the bracket. Once the lighting was complete, he proceeded to replace all outlets and cover plates to a "cream" color. He didn't have (2) outlets (back ordered), so he planned on coming out on Monday to complete the job. However, one of the electical switches "tripped" the main circuit, and needed to be replaced. When James came back to complete the job on Monday, he went over every single outlet, to make sure there would be no more issues. He also fixed an outside "all season" electrical socket that may have blown as well. All in all, Bruce did a great job, as did James when he returned. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Electric for any household elecrical job needed.

Well, as noted above the job seemed to have gone well, but (there is always a but) soon after he left my heat pump stopped working. At the time I did not connect this with him and called for a service call today to figure out what was wrong. The AC tech found that the main breaker for the AC was turned off. Since the tech from Mr. Electric was the only person near that panel, he must have inadvertently tripped that breaker. I called the company and told them of this and they told me to call them with how much the AC call cost. Once I paid the invoice, I spoke to April and she talked to the owner who agreed to take the service charge for the AC call off an estimate that I was given yesterday for some more work I wanted done. I am very satisfied with this outcome and have every intention of using Mr. Electric again. I want to make it clear that I do not hold their tech responsible for this mistake, things like this just happen.

My experience with Mr. Electric demonstrated its professionalism when things at first don't go quite right. I was dissatisfied with the outcome of the first power panel installation. I contacted the company and sent photographs of the power panel work. The company quickly responded and agreed that the workmanship for this installation fell short of the company's standards. The company apologized and promised to make it right. They rescheduled the work at no additional cost and the second installation fully met my expectations as well as the company's own high standards for quality and workmanship. My ratings reflect the second installation. It is my understanding that the company has addressed the cause of the original issue and took action to prevent this from recurring. I would not hesitate to again hire Mr. Electric for my electrical needs.

We purchased a deal from Angie's to have a ceiling fan installed and are very glad we did. Bruce from Mr. Electric did a great job and got everything done very well, on time. He was very pleasant and we plan on having them back for other work.

Bruce was running a little late from previous job, but notified us of his situation, and he was running about 30 minutes late. He called again when he was on his way with arrival time. He came in, introduced himself, apologized for the delay, and moved quickly to see the job, and look at our replacement fan. Bruce was very professional, friendly and courteous!He had the old fan off and was installing the new fan much quicker than I anticipated. My wife and I are very pleased with Bruce's work and would highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done in your home or business! I will use this company again when I need any electrical work done in the future!
