James scheduled and visited our home to get a better understanding of the work being requested. He was very polite and knowledgeable. We chose another service provider to perform the work, mostly based on the thoroughness of the estimate done by the other provider. (i.e., how much they examined and what they reviewed)

I applied online and the next day the Operations Mgr. from Seven Hills called my husband to schedule a no-cost appointment to determine time, cost and needed materials. The electrician was able to re-work his schedule to give us an earlier than requested appointment for the work. He gave us a two-hour window, called a half-hour before his arrival and went right to work. He was friendly, professional and very honest. Although he had quoted us $300 to $400, he charged only $180, saying that the work was less involved than he had thought and he could not justify charging us his original estimate. He completed the work in under 45 minutes and guaranteed his work, telling me to call if we were not satisfied. Everything works as it should and we have no complaints. This is the first time we've used Seven Hills Elec. and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a highly competent and honest electrical service.

The 2 workmen arrived on time and were polite and professional. They worked in tandem and finished the job in a timely manor and cleaned up the mess when they were finished. I was very pleased and will use this company for any future jobs.

Once again James is one of the most knowledgable and polite people I have met in the Richmond area. This is the second visit from Seven Hills. We are completely satisfied with the service that James provided. James walked me through each item on my list, made sure that he understood everything that needed completed and then got to work. I, in fact, had to leave my residence while James was working, and felt quite at ease doing so. When I returned, almost all of the work was completed. James will be coming back next week to finish up the last phase of our "electrical" remodel. The prices are competitive. The workmanship is exceptional. I would pay double the price! (But really glad I don't have to!!!) Thank you, James!

We called specifically to have two exterior outlets repaired and we asked the electrician to fix our low voltage exterior lights. He spent less than a half hour trying to fix the lights and told us that it might be the transformer and if we wanted the lights fixed we should purchase a new transformer. While leaving we asked what he was going to do about the outlets. He said that he did not have what he needed to fix the outlets on his truck -- even though that was the reason we asked for the service call! So nothing was fixed. He did offer that on another visit he would reduce the first hour's labor by $80.

Overall, it went very well. James had cancellation and called to see if he could come over earlier than planned. He did a thoroughly professional job, completing all work in less than 3 hours. The bill was $426 before Angie's 15% coupon. When I called the office to provide payment, I was told by April that the 15% discount only applied towards labor cost. The coupon did not specify this restriction, but I didn't complain because I felt the final price was very reasonable. We will definitely use them again...especially James.

the installer was very careful and competent. Willing to come back the next day to install the glass light shade which was broken when it arrived in the box. This was a very simple task we could do ourselves, so we thanked him and told him not to worry about coming back.

He was on time, polite, and extremely professional. He got the job finished in less time than expected. EVERYTHING has worked wonderfully. We are having him back in July to install some other things. I will continue to use Seven Hills Electric and ask for James each time.

Came on time.Told me the price of the job. Discovered that I had purchased the wrong fan, Called store to advise me on purchasing the right one. Installed the receptacle while I went to make the right purchase. Gave me a receipt and suggested some other services in case I needed them in the future.

I had purchased the ceiling fan install special for $85.00. James was on time and did a great job. He corrected a problem with how the ceiling fan was mounted which had caused a lot of vibration and noise with previous fans that had been in this room. He spent an extra 45 minutes to get it right which was billed at an hourly rate. This was O.K. with me as I'm very happy to have this problem finally fixed. James has done 2 other jobs for me since this one and done excellent work each time. He's very helpful and knowledgeable and easy to work with.

They were quick to come out & give me an estimate. I purchased the lights & ceiling fans prior to the work & they provided receptacles. Bruce & his son did an excellent job on all the work I needed. They were very pleasant & explained everything they did along the way. Reassured me that even though my house was built in 1965 my wiring was good---had been a concern of mine for a while. I will definitely hire them in the future. I saved 15% with the Angie's coupon.

Everything went well. The appointment was scheduled right way and was set for a convenient time. The gentlemen arrived on time and did the work. They were pleasant, respectful and professional.

Didn't get the service. This survey doesn't allow for reviews that didn't get the service and I keep getting hounded to provide a review. So, I just selected "lousy" for the overall experience because there are no other options that fit the response I need.

Everything turned out well. The scheduling was easy, the technician was friendly and punctual, and the work was done as promised. Ultimately, I had no issues with the service.

James the electrician put in an outside ceiling fan on our screen porch. He arrived on time, called when he was on the way. Great Job.

Communication was a bit disjointed - split between office worker and service technician. Communication was professional and helpful. Initial estimate was quoted at or slightly above special purchased ($160 for $200 worth of work). Technician stated that hourly rate was $95/hr. The total job time took 45 minutes and cost an additional $100. No explanation was given on invoice as to why there was such a sudden spike (no detail of material cost, extra labor, etc). While this was disappointing, the overall satisfaction of the work performed was great. It just would have been nice to know why the initial estimate and final invoice had a 33% markup for seemingly no reason.

Bruce called 15 minutes before arriving to verify address, arrived very promptly (2 minutes ahead of planned time = perfect), introduced himself and his other crew member, verified all the details of the ticket and then performed an initial inspection of the site, all before even bringing anything in. He then brought the other member in with all the tools that were needed and went straight to work. They were extremely professional and very friendly. They kept my daughter's room organized and clean and then cleaned up after everything was finished. Bruce then spent the time to walk me through everything surrounding the install and asked if there was anything else I had a question about or was uncomfortable with. I will be hiring this company back for any electrical issues in the future.

James showed up on time with two extra electricians to get our extra jobs completed in the original time frame. Everything went smoothly and new lights look good. Update - since the lights were installed we have had a few issues. The ceiling fan wobbles when it's on any setting other than the lowest. Often when you turn on the ceiling light it doesn't come on, you have to turn it off, and then it works on the second try. My husband also had to fix a light fixture in our living room that wasn't set on the ceiling just right.

The reason I gave a B for overall is not so much that it took several trips to get everything working correctly; I could live with that. However, for one appointment the technician never showed up and never called. Completely unacceptable. The technician that did show up on time, James, is awesome. Great guy all the way around.

Awesome. Lived in this home for 9 years and have used 4 different electricians.......They were by far the best I've used......Highly recommended!
