FARR MECHANICAL HEATING & A/C

Overall very sloppy work that didn't last! Farr Mechanical replaced the HVAC system with a promise of a one year warranty on the work they did but when it turned out the duct work they did to connect the system was wrong they didn't fix it and have stopped returning calls. Now the garage is getting more heat than the upstairs of the house due to the sloppy connections on the ducts. The compressor is sitting on a cinder block because one of the pump-ups broke but fortunately that is just a cosmetic issue. It's been four months since the owner Ron said he would come and take care of our duct work when he got back from vacation but we've not gotten a response since then.

Ron Farr, the owner came to give an estimate of $7100. My husband thought this was to high. He lowered the estimate to $6800. The estimate was done on 5-4-07, I didn't get back with him until June. He was still able to do the work even though he mentioned since it was now Hot in the attic he may have to raise the price. I thought this sounded strange, but he finally decided that he would do the job as orginally stated. He did mention he would have to come and go on this project, because he was working on another at the same time. During the job, I asked him to put in a larger water tank, I asked for 60 gal and he said it would cost me another $100 to get the larger one. He ended up getting me a 50 gal. He also had to cut the drywall to bring in the wiring from the outside. The openings were never filled in. Even though he told me at least 2 other times that he would be back to finish this problem. I eventually decided to just forget this and my husband cut completed this.
