Description of Work: Excellent work performed by courteous and skilled technicians. The technician arrived within the allotted appointment time & also educated me on my HVAC system & offered valuable tips on how to maintain it. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

Description of Work: I employed Mr.Pendergast's services two years ago and when I noticed a vibrating sound coming from oneof my registers in July, I knew he was the man to call. He promptly diagnosed the problem--I needed a new motorbut he had to order the part for me. He repaired the old motor to last until the order arrived making it possibleto survive the heat until I received the new motor. He also added freon to my system.

 + -1 moreEfficient Comfort is the business name for Wayne Pendergast, who is a master HVAC mechanic with several state and national certifications. My real estate agent recommended Wayne to do the heat pump system inspection when we first bought our house in late 2010. I tagged along with Wayne during the entire inspection and was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He has taught classes in HVAC systems and gave me a short course in how everything worked as we went through the entire system. The cost for the inspection, preventive maintenance and a few minor repairs was very reasonable and money well spent. Wayne and a helper came back a few months later to replace air supply ducts in the attic that had deteriorated due to prolonged exposure to sunlight (yes, my attic has windows). The material now used to make flexible duct is not affected by sunlight. Again, Wayne did a great job I called Wayne once again a few weeks ago when the outside unit for my ground floor heat pump stopped working. It made humming noises, but the fan would not run. We were getting warm air from the electrical heat strips, but not enough to provide a comfortable temperature inside. Wayne found the problem right away--a burned out fan motor. He had the system back to full efficiency in less than an hour. I plan to use Wayne for any HVAC work I need in the future and highly recommend him to Angie's List members.
Description of Work: Heat pump outside unit inspection and fan motor replacement. Have previously had this company do inspection of entire 2-zone HVAC system and replacement of deteriorated duct work in attic.
