The company cleaned up all the leaves in the yard and mulch area. They also trimmed the trees and bushes. They removed a shrub that I did not ask them to remove however. Thankfully I wasn't too attached to the plant but I found it odd that they would pull it without permission. While edging the lawn, they cut through some of the electrical wiring and sprinkler heads. They were very prompt about fixing it which was appreciated. It did take a few visits to get everything fixed. All the staff was very polite and professional. I would use them again. The only reason I wouldn't use them again is because they are on the other side of the city. They told me they charged a fee to get to my house in Midlothian.

They are very helpful and knowlegable.

They did most of the work between early December through early January. They were very attentive to our needs and what we were doing. Darrell is the fellow we are working with. He laid out what they could do for us. The weather has been an issue on when they could come. The foreman talked to me every day about what they were doing. They were exceptional about keeping me involved and gave me choices as they were working. The workers were all very cooperative and polite. They did good work. We had planned to have everything done before Christmas but the snow and cold weather wouldn't let them finish until January. They showed us various designs of the pavers even though we had picked out ones. They were attentive to our needs and the end design was really better than we could have hoped it would be. We got several bids and they were cheaper than one bid and more expensive than another. There was not a significant difference in any of the prices but we felt that they were going to do what we wanted done.

They are always professional and provide good quality.

They did a good job and I was happy with them. They'd come to the house to look at the land, provided a very positive service, were pleasant to work with, provided the service they promised and cleaned up well afterward.

It has transformed the backyard to something that we can now enjoy.

I think they are expensive, but, very good. I called them for quote and they did not call me back, so, four days later I called them again and that time they were responsive and apologized for everything.

Ed's Landscaping came through for me when another company suddenly canceled on me last May 2008. They first came out and consulted with me on the design plan I already had sketched out. We finalized a plan together and they give me an estimate very quickly. They were very open to working with my ideas, and worked me into their schedule as fast as they could. They were very responsive when I changed my mind and wanted to revise the plan at one point. Their prices were very reasonable, a little lower than some other companies I had consulted with. When they came out to do the work, they did high quality work, and were prompt and responsive in all interactions. I had some follow-up questions after the work was done, and telephoned their company, and they moved one of the shrubs at my request for no extra charge. I also had some questions about the drip irrigation and the irrigation guy came out for an extra visit and consulted with me on a few key points which was extremely helpful. They always answered telephone calls and e-mails promptly. I was very satisfied.

Their designer was extremely responsive from the start. We had another company come out as well and provide an estimate, and Ed's had already completed the work by the time we even received the estimate from the other company. They were very easy to work with, gave us some great suggestions for our front yard, and completed the work very quickly. My only complaint was that the actual plantings were smaller than I had anticipated and there was some miscommunication with the size of the beds in the front yard - causing some additional removal of grass that has still not grown back. Besides those two things, however, they did a great job.

I was pleased with the landscaping and design work this company did for me. They are small and more localized but they do a good job and the prices are pretty decent. I would call them again for any landscaping I intend to have done. I walked away from my experience with them feeling pleased.

I think what I liked most of all was the price. They were cheaper then most everyone I called and they did an excellent job. They showed up on time and got right to work. There were a few places that I wanted done a specific way and they did it perfectly. I will definitely use them if I ever need any landscaping again.

I am so excited I found Ed's Landscaping and Garden Center. While I live in Richmond I have still have driven to Mechanicsville to purchase my plants from them. The prices are very, very good and the service is excellent. (I have seriously compared prices and they are very competitive, and with their shrubs and perennials, even cheaper than some home improvement stores and for surely cheaper thatn other garden centers). Their plant quality is great! Juli did a great job with her design, even if I had a challending shade/sun situation in my matching garden beds. She kept my budget in mind and didn't go overboard suggesting super expensive plants. She gave me tons of good advice. After my first two beds, I went back and Juli helped me design yet another bed. I can't wait to continue working with them to make my garden beautiful.
