C & W Hanover Septic

Beware! I paid C&W Hanover Septic $23K to install an alternative system on 11/17/21. Less than five weeks later the high water alarm kept triggering. Since 12/25/21 the new system shows high water levels even though only two people are in the household and designed to process up to 450 gallons a day. C&W said they would no longer monitor the system on 2/23/22 even though a high water went off 2/21/22. Due to the problem not being resolved I had to file a complaint with BBB. This was the C&W owner’s response to a system that is not working and cost $23K: Good morning everyone, well every day seems to be a new adventure with this one, haha. First I would like to thank Ms. Taylor for her business and I would like to thank everyone else for their time and help. I have been in business long enough to know when, no matter what my company does, the customer will not be satisfied. Unfortunately, we have reached that point. At this time, I have made the decision to terminate our business relationship with Ms. Taylor. Any of our workmanship carries a one year warranty which we will honor if need be, but as far as the warranty on the components or any other service work that may need to be done, Ms. Taylor will have to find another company to take over. I wish everyone the best going forward and I hope Ms. Taylor finds the satisfaction that she is seeking.

Just wanted to say that this company is AWESOME!!! Trudy was my first call and Susan was my second.. These two woman are great. I thought I had a septic tank in my yard so when the nice young man came to my home he could't find the tank. Come to find out that we pay Chesterfield Water and Sewage so a plumber has to service our sewage problem. Trudy was so kind to call Chesterfield County to be sure if we are serviced by the County and Trudy called me to confirm that the county are to come and service our plumbing problem. This company is very professional, kind, prompt and they care about their customer's, even though we do not have a septic tank they treated me like I was one of their clients. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND C & W HANOVER SEPTIC they are very qualified and a CARING COMPANY!!! "AWESOME" We had to pay a service fee which I didn't mind it was worth it because we had to use a plumber which the young man had determined for me.. GREAT COMPANY AND EMPLOYEE'S!!!! Sorry I failed to get the young mans name when he arrived but he was great!!!

I highly recommend C & W Hanover Septic. My septic tank was heading to overflow because the pump was not working. I called another septic company first that was recommended to me but never received a call back. I then called C & W and spoke to Trudy who asked me a bunch of questions - none of which I really knew as I had never had a septic system before. She was very patient with me and immediately set up an appointment to have Cole pump out my system. He came (on time) and did a very through job. Since we weren't sure of the issue, Cole inspected the pump to see if it was maybe a minor issue. I appreciated his effort to try to save me some money by checking for an alternative issue other than immediately recommending for me buy a new pump. As it turned out I needed the new pump. He got with Trudy to have Billy, the installer, come out and set up the new pump to be done on the same day. All those who worked with me - Trudy, Cole, and Billy - were very professional and provided me with excellent service. As I did not know much about septic systems, they answered all of my many questions. I will definitely use them from now on and I highly recommend them!

They showed up on time (in the rain) and performed all the work quickly, getting my septic back online.

The technician was very thorough and completed the job promptly.

I thought that my lift pump may have gone out as it was not cycling on causing my my alarm to go off. Turns out it was a sumple blown fuse. They could have told me the pump was bad and I would not have known. But their honesty and prompt resolution will keep me using them for ALL septic work in the future. Thanks goes to the exceptionally great crew!!!

We used this company 2 times. First job was slow but decent work. This time around was totally unacceptable. We had appointments scheduled 4 times but nobody ever showed up. On the 4th time they said Billy came out while nobody was home but did not find any problems. I found that odd because we had an alarm sounding on our septic tank for 5 days. At this point it had been so long that my neighbor now knows how to come silence it because it keeps his baby awake. I sat down at the computer and reviewed the camera footage from our outdoor camera system. The only thing going on in our yard that day was our neighbor and his dog coming to silence the alarm twice. No sign of C&W at all. When asked about it Trudy became very defensive and told us we just needed to take our business elsewhere. Up until that point she insisted they had been at my house. Possible they went to the wrong house by mistake but I have never had a company so unprofessional to deal with. Beware of this company especially if they claim to have done work while you were not present. I was lucky enough that they did not claim to have done any work and try and bill me.

The service was good but one of the things they did not do that they were required to do was file the proper environmental paperwork. So I got a call from Hanover County asking me why they didn't file the paperwork for the work that was done. I called the company and they never followed back up. They totally dropped the ball on that. The work appeared to be done well. Once I brought the permit to there attention they just continued to work.

The lady who answered the phone was friendly and asked questions to make sure I received the correct service. She also worked with me on scheduling so my husband could be here when they came. The guy that came was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

They came the same day I called and did what they were supposed to do. My only complaint is that they easily could have brought a tarp and put the dirt and grass on there. Instead the just dug a hole and made a mess. I had to specifically ask them to put grass back on top or they wouldn't have. Even at that, I had to try and piece it back together so that I would not have a big dirt spot in the middle of my lawn.... Other than that, they did a good job.

They were professional and on time. Cant beat it when they can show up the same day and do an great job and a good price.

This is the second time that we have used Cand W for our septic service. They are very professional, easy to schedule and do a great job. They now have a system where they will call and remind me when my service is due so I don't even need to track it myself anymore. No muss, no fuss. Perfect.
