The service is great! The owner is very responsive in providing estimates and coming out and performing the services in a reasonable time frame. I am always pleased with the quality of work that they do. I will continue to be a repeat customer.

I raked, blew, and dragged all of my leaves to the curb on Saturday, Dec 1. Called and briefly spoke with Austin that evening, hoping that I could get my leaves picked up from curbside sometime during the next week, the earlier the better. To my delight, first thing Monday morning Austin's team was at our house removing the leaves, and they did a very thorough job, even blowing off the driveway which had collected a few leaves on Sunday as a nice finishing touch. A few days later, however, I was surprised to receive a bill for nearly double the verbally agreed upon (and last year's) price. I emailed Austin and responded very quickly, indicating that I only needed to pay the agreed upon price and I could ignore the bill. So I graded Austin's Lawn Care and Landscaping a "B" with respect to price, since it appears as if their usual price -- had I not had a verbal agreement based on last year's price for my lawn -- would have been pretty high. But overall the experience with this servicer deserves an "A", since they were prompt, thorough, responsive, and accommodative with respect to the price.

This was a large job, as our yard has a tremendous amount of leaves, that I had moved to the curb and needed removed from curbside. Austin gave an estimate of $40-$100 before seeing my leaves, and it turned out to be a $75 job. They were able to get it done the same day I called. My only negative feedback was that they started the work before actually confirming the final price. Thankfully, the price came in at about what I was expecting and hoping for.

I was referred to this company through Service Magic (didn't belong to Angie's List last year, didn't know about it). I needed lawn mowing and landscaping service (mulching flowerbeds, pulling weeds, pruning trees) in 2010 due to my ongoing health problems. I got estimates from 3 companies that Service Magic sent, including this one. Owner e-mailed me two price options--"a la carte" for each service individually (mowing, mulching, pruning, etc.) and an all-inclusive rate where all the services would be done if I paid a monthly rate. It appeared (on paper anyway) that this company was the better deal. No contract was ever sent to me nor signed but we spoke once on the phone initially & I sent an e-mail saying I'd like the all-inclusive price, because it should have been a better deal. They mowed my lawn, about once a week from April-September. They never mulched, they never pruned trees (trees close to the house/sidewalk had long branches any visitors would have to duck just to avoid when walking up my sidewalk). They didn't use an edger/trimmer, so tall grass & weeds were always growing along the fence lines in my yard. I would receive an invoice in the mail once a month & I'd mail back a check, in my own envelope b/c this company didn't even provide you a return envelope. There were weeds growing up from below my deck right up through it. With one of my payments I wrote a note on the invoice asking them to please remove them. You'd think you wouldn't have to ask the lawn people to remove the jungle growth on your back deck. My yard didn't look any better, it was simply mowed every 7-10 days. They would show up around 7-7:30 in the morning and ride the riding mower for 15 minutes. $153 a month for that! After September I never saw them again. If I had just wanted lawn mowing, I could have gone with one of the other companies that provided an estimate and it still would have been less than $153 a month. Since they never came to mulch or do the additional work, even in the fall, and I heard nothing from the owner, I did not send anymore money after the end of September. One Saturday or Sunday at the beginning of March of this year, someone rang my bell but by the time I got to the door they were getting in their truck & leaving. The truck had a landscaping trailer attached to it so I thought it might be this company again. I e-mailed the owner that week to tell him I wouldn't be using his company again since they did not provide the service that I requested & paid for in 2010. Then 2 weeks after that. . .I get a letter from an attorney's office--now the guy is taking me to court for October-December for the monthly payments! Beware Angie's List consumers, run--don't walk--away from this company for any yard work!
