Leon Smith was very responsive, communicated well over phone, voice messages and email, showed up early for actual inspection, completed his work in the time promised, was thorough and explained/showed me issues he felt were most critical, delivered a printable report via email when promised. The report itself is much like I've seen before which is pretty much a professional industry standard. He covered everything he needed to and was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend and would hire again.

It was great. Leon was was very detailed in his report . He found things we would have never thought to look for because the home was a new construction. The report included fixes from nail pops (approximately $5 repair) to deck railings needing to be bolted to house (~$300). Very happy with the service, we would definitely recommend and use again. Leon answered my call right away and came out a couple days later. He was very thorough, identified many issues I would have no way been able to identify myself and returned a report to me that evening. Leon was very professional, timely, and answered any and all questions I had. Before he started the "Pre-Drywall" inspection, he asked me if I had any concerns. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm happy he asked. The inspection went well and he briefed me and the Project Manager on his findings. He also sent me a report through email that I was able to print out and take with me to ensure the Project Manager fixed the deficiencies Leon found. The Final inspection basically went the same way. Once again, Leon briefed me and the Project Manager on his findings. The Project Manager started working on them right away and with Leon's thorough report, I was able to ensure he completed everything. Thank you Leon for a job well done.

Leon showed up to the property early, and performed a very thorough investigation of the home. He was able to identify quite a few items that needed attention, and these things could have cost us dearly had they gone unnoticed. I found Leon's company on Angie's List, was impressed with the reviews, and decided to call him on the weekend. I left a message and Leon called back within 15 minutes to set up an inspection on short notice. Leon arrived early and spent close to 3 hours going over a 1400 square foot home. The price was $270 with the A.L. discount and was worth every dollar. He brought his laptop and printer and provided me with the inspection assessment before leaving - which included a binder and dvd...both of which were very well done and easy to understand. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the inspection, Leon's professionalism, and the detailed information he provided. The printed review provided a list of what needed to be done as well as suggestions on how to prevent future problems with simple fixes. I may not end up getting this home because the heating and air system must be replaced but I feel confident that if I do there won't be any expensive surprises waiting for me. I highly recommend Leon.

Report was very detailed and of the highest quality, provided a CD with pictures and info as well as a typed report. He even climbed the roof which I heard no all inspectors do.

He looked under the house, in the attic, and everywhere else. Provided me with a disk with pictures of problem areas, and make a list of what needed to be done, as well as some recommendations.

Leon was wonderful. He was extremely responsive in scheduling the inspection and worked with our Agent wonderfully. He arrived early and began the process of the inspection on the outside of the house. He then moved inside and was extremely thorough. He found problems that other inspectors may have glossed over but ended up being big ticket items for the sellers to repair/replace. His cost is a bit higher than other inspectors, but with the Angie's List discount, it ended up being in the ballpark. He completed the inspection, paperwork and delivered the results at the property, so no waiting on the items he found for a few days for him to build the report! He also gave it to us in a great format, as well as electronic format, and all of the pictures he took were included (no normal for inspectors). Will definitely use him again!

Leon was great. He showed up on time, spent three hours combing over the property and compiling his report, and provided us with a very thorough report in print and digital format right on the spot, along with a ton of detailed photos. He demonstrated excellent attention to detail, a knowledge of home construction principles and local building codes, and was able to give us excellent guidance on how to address the various issues he identified. I also had the opportunity to reach back out to him with a followup question, which he promptly responded to with a thorough, helpful answer. The price was very fair, especially with the Angie's List discount.

Great Experience! He arrived at the exact time we had the appointment scheduled. He did what I thought was a very through job of inspecting the entire house including going onto the roof and crawling around in the crawl space. Delivered a very organized, complete analysis of the property with pictures. Will absolutely recommend them to others!

Leon arrived early and ready to go. He explained the process, then conducted outside inspection first, then inside. He was thorough and efficient. After the inspection he went over the results and provided a sense of what we should do right away, and what can wait. He patiently answered questions, and when asked provides some suggested contractors to perform services. The original cost of the inspection was reasonable, and the 20% Angies List coupon made the service a bargain.

Everything went well. Leon was very thorough and professional. If we where to purchase a new home in VA, we would definitely use him again. Highly recommended.

Mr. Smith found a few things that we were not even aware of. In the crawl space he found that when the central a/c was installed they did not finish the support system and when you walked on the living room floor there was a lot of movement. Very scary. The pull down attic stairs were also not installed properly, There were some other smaller issues, but he told us that overall our house was in very good condition. The house was built in the 1950's, is a tri-level and all brick.

This is my very first experience on Angie's list. I now own the home that Mr. Smith inspected in February of this year. It is a 100+ year old house so I am extremely glad to have the information that he provided on the inspection. I was looking for someone with lots of experience to do my inspection, and that is what I got. He provided a nicely laid out report printed out in a binder and a CD with pictures. I appreciated his very reasonable fees and the fact that I could use the Angie's list coupon. The cost I saved paid for my Angie's list membership!

excellent, phone calls were returned promptly, the inspector arrived on time and the whole effort was issue free. the inspector spent quality time explaining what he was doing and how to interpret his report. i was not available for the inspection but when i reviewed the report with my wife and compared to my general observations i had was fully confident we knew the current condition of the house before proceeding with the seller on repairs or price reductions if i took on the repair. you can't go wrong with atlantic inspection. value was well worth the peace of mind, and it was a bargain once the angie's list discount was applied.
